Sad! I have loved Laughing Planet in other locations and for years, but this one just missed the mark. The bowl I ordered was pretty bland, under-portioned, and lackluster overall. I’m going to cross my fingers it was a fluke and will continue to try other spots. Generally, their food is high quality, healthy, tastes good, and offers a fun variety of flavors.

Tofu bowl was awesome! Hobanero salsa had serious kick. Kambucha on tap. Great spot unique fresh flavors. Simple décor but I liked it! I’d love to have one back in Philadelphia.

Love the healthy delicious menu. Fun atmosphere, bright primary colors and quirky lights. Greenery growing on the walls. Good beers too. The toy dinosaurs are washed several times throughout the day, but be sure not to drool all over them.

I eat here from time to time and usually get the burritos because the ingredients are really healthy and fresh and you can get vegan options. It is a great place for a quick, healthy lunch or dinner and those burritos are filling! My favorite thing to eat here was the lentil burrito but they took it off the normal menu and now it’s only occasionally listed as a special and it is more expensive than a regular burrito. Bring it back as a mainstay! This place gets pretty busy for lunch right after noon. Good value and very healthy food.

Are you looking for some adventure, perhaps like something out of Jurassic World? I might have found the place for you: Laughing Planet where you can be surrounded be dinosaurs and exotic plants. OK, the dinosaurs are plastic(but cute) and there are plants(healthy plants are exotic to me because I tend to have a black thumb), so since this isn’t Jurassic World, the real attraction here is food and service. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door(I was later greeted by the manager and thanked for coming in). The very personable counter-person gave me a hand-held printed menu so I could step off to the side to make my choice while he finished helping the person ahead of me. I thought this was a bright thing to do which made both of us customers feel like we have both been appropriately served. When it was my turn, I ordered the grilled chicken burrito with sour cream and guacamole on the side and a glass of iced tea. There is a charge for the guacamole and sour cream of $ 2.50 which kind of surprised me, but in the end I was glad I had ponied up for both. I took a number and seated myself. My burrito and iced tea were brought to me. The burrito was huge, and when they say to peel down the foil encasing it and take a few bites at a time, they are right. If you don’ follow the instructions, it will collapse and fall apart all over your hands. There was a lot of grilled organic chicken in the burrito along with beans(which were absolutely correctly cooked) and had great flavor. A young woman counter-person stopped by table and asked me if I wanted some salsa and I asked for and got mild green salsa. This and the sour cream and guacamole gave a wonderful kind of subtle fruity yet spicy flavor plus those three ingredients helped make the burrito a little easier to eat because it was overall somewhat dry. The iced tea had great flavor and made the hot day fade away. I like Hungry Planet’s emphasis on organic and healthy ingredients and good meat products(such as grass-fed beef). I loved the dinosaurs and overall modern décor. I most definitely will return to try some of their other tasty-sounding dishes.

This place is great — been to most of them and this one for the first time today. Great HEALTHY food on a budget. People are always friendly and pleasant. I am the type that always orders the same thing. Not here, I always get the specials and so far not disappointed.

I am a regular Laughing Planet customer since my work is a couple blocks away and this is by far the most healthy option. I think the food is good enough, not great, not bad until today when I found a little ROCK on my food. This was specially bad because I just got my braces off and my teeth are a little sensitive so chewing on the rock has made my jaw and teeth hurt. I hope that this review allows people to put the controls necessary to not have this happen again.

Such great customer service and delicious healthy meal :) I got the breakfast burrito and it was awesome and my friend got the seasonal bowl and loved it as well. Will definitely be returning to this location!

Bubba burrito is always a solid choice. And this place serves Anderson Valley Boont Amber in a can. What’s not to like?

When I first walked into this place, I wasn’t expecting much. It seemed like a run-of-the-mill local chain. But, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of cuisine. It tasted fresh and the ingredients were of rather high-quality. The cookies were delicious the their PB&J smoothie might be one of the best I’ve ever had. They know what they’re doing and it shows in the food. The only reason they lose a star is because of the confusing menu system. I wasn’t the only one who thought the list of specials behind the counter was their ‘entire’ menu. Other than that, kudos.

Meh. Bollywood bowl. Lacked seasoning. Chicken and veggies bland and lacked texture. Arnold Palmer served in a pint glass. Too warm and no ice. Ha ha habanero sauce milder than Tobasco. Not enthused with my first visit.

I stopped in for a quick lunch yesterday at an off-time – 2:30ish. I was the only customer when I arrived, but people came in and out while I was there. Even though it wasn’t a hoppin’ afternoon, service was fast and courteous and the food was GREAT – it tasted so fresh! I had the Bollywood Bowl, which had chicken and veggies and brown rice and a sauce. I added Sriracha. Music affects me wherever I am and LP didn’t disappoint. They were playing Bob Marley, mostly, and it was perfect for a lovely early fall Sunday. I’ve been a fan of Laughing Planet for ages and this Goose Hollow outpost is just making my world even better!

When I heard that Laughing Planet was opening up in Goose Hollow I got pretty excited. Working in this area, the options are slim to none for good spots within short walking distance, and before the closest options were Subway, Starbucks, and Belagio’s Pizza. Needless to say, when it first opened I was quick to stop in and have been back frequently since. The food at Laughing Planet consists of salads, bowls, burritos, and smoothies, with weekly specials thrown in to keep things interesting. They use local or organic ingredients mostly which is nice, and everything always tastes pretty fresh. At this point I’ve had much of the menu, and some things are better than others. The Eat Your Veggies bowl is pretty bland unless doused in Sriracha or hot sauce. The bean and cheese and chicken burritos are pretty good and fairly inexpensive, usually the mini burrito is filling enough and a whole burrito makes me feel bad about myself and the direction my life has been taking. As far as salads, both the Highway to Kale and the Kale Cesar salads are really good, the dressing for each is very flavorful and if you like kale you can’t go wrong with either. As far as smoothies go, the PBJ smoothie is my favorite. It has a mix of strawberry, banana, peanut butter and apple juice that somehow tastes almost exactly like a PB&J sandwich. The Berry Berry Good smoothie is a close second, and great if you like a lot of berries which I do.

It’s hard for me to put my love for this place into words. I’ve been trying and trying to figure out what to say without simply gushing, as I’d like to provide some words that could perhaps be useful to someone else. It’s in the neighborhood between home and work. This is a personal plus, but it’s a big one. That being said, my high rating of this place would exist without such convenience, I have been to several of their other locations and indeed my appreciation for the chain began long before this location opened it’s doors. I’ve heard some criticism about this place tasting«bland.» All I can say is try my home cooking and then we’ll discuss the subject of bland. In all seriousness though, I have a disconnect with most people when it comes to eating out. I’m a bit of a health nut. I want certain thing a out of my food other than flavor. One of those things is some knowledge of what exactly I’m ingesting. Laughing planet posts all of their nutritional information on the internet which paired with their quality ingredients basically makes them one of the only diet friendly restaurants I can think of. Don’t get me wrong, I am no stranger to binging, but in my day to day life, I like to keep things a little more balanced. That leaves me with home cooking(did I mention I’m no master chef?) or laughing planet. I’ll take laughing planet, thanks. I get their grilled chicken bowl with extra chicken and both mild and medium salsa. It’s great and I love it.

A tried and true favorite. Whatever I get is always good, even dishes that weren’t my favorite. Love them!

I’ve always enjoyed Laughing Planet. In fact, I used to walk all the way across the PSU campus to eat there on my lunch breaks from time to time. Their selection of burritos, salads, bowls, and smoothies are all made with fresh local ingredients and served by an energetic and friendly staff. Needless to say I was giddy when I discovered they were opening a location just 3 blocks from my office! Finally a quick and delicious restaurant had popped up in Goose Hollow. This«satellite» location has a slightly more limited menu than their full sized restaurants. They have enough items to keep me happy for a long time though including their delicious PB& J smoothie. You can get any of their burritos in «mini» size for a pretty cheap price of around $ 4. I’m a huge fan of these. At lunch time there is a grab n go section full of recently assembled burritos for you to pick up on your way through line and avoid the creation time. As with all restaurants near Lincoln High School this place will have a line of Justin Bieber fans out the door around lunch time. This can significantly add to your wait time if you don’t plan it out right.

If Portlandy can be an adjective, it is a good word to describe Laughing Planet. I generally love the food here, but my most recent visit to this location left a bad taste in my mouth. The girl behind the counter who greeted us when we came in and took our order, was wearing such a low neck top that her pinkish/beige bra was sticking out the top. I don’t consider myself overly picky about the appearance of people in the service industry, but if you are handling my food(or in the area where my food is being handled) I don’t want to see your undergarments. I ordered the Thai Bowl on this visit, which was very tasty, but there were little plasticy fibers all over the food(I’m making the assumption that they were«meant» to be there, as they were throughout the entire dish, but can’t figure out what ingredient they would have came from…) I give this place 2 stars. The food typically tastes good(as with all Laughing Planet locations), but the presentation is seriously lacking.

Woohoo! I am stoked about this newest Laughing Planet’s location which is right by the Goose Hollow MAX Station. I may not be the first to review this place, but I’m pretty sure I’m the first to online order at this place since my order number was 0001 and the cashier looked at me weird when I told her I ordered online. I love all the other Laughing Planets so the only thing that makes this not 5 stars is not having their full menu available as all the others do.

There’s always been something about Laughing Planet that has turned me off, but I’ve never really been able to put a finger on it. Maybe it was their fast proliferation throughout Portland that made it seem like less than organic growth. Maybe it was the price to size ratio of their burritos. Either way, I never tried it until I went to an event at the EcoTrust building that was catered by Laughing Planet. They had a build your own burrito/bowl bar set up. To put it simply, the food was unremarkable at best. The two worst items were the chicken and beans. Both were completely flavorless. It was pretty much a catering tray of water beans. The chicken was dry and rubbery. You can’t have a good burrito/bowl when two of the main ingredients lack flavor and texture. To their credit, the tofu was very good, but I don’t handle soy well and I wasn’t going to risk it. After that experience I swore off Laughing Planet. That was before this location opened up. Goose Hollow only has so many eating options and my coworkers wanted to give this location a shot. After being so disappointed with their«Mexican» fare, I did a 180 and ordered the Korean BBQ Bowl and a side of chips and guacamole. The total came out to about $ 14 without a drink, which is a bit much for grab and go office food. The bowl was pretty good, but for consisting of mostly brown rice, it was overpriced. If you’re going to charge $ 10 for a bowl that is mostly rice, at least you can add real kimchi and not«quick pickles.» Although flavorful, the bowl was not super filling due to it being mostly rice, so I was glad I also got guacamole. The side of chips was a very large bag of chips, but I was aghast when I dug down and found what could only be called a thimble of guacamole. All I could thing of was the famous line, «what is this? Guacamole for ants?» Now the guacamole was good, but I finished it all up with just 5, conservatively guaced chips, thus leaving me with a massive bag of chips and no guac. This was pretty disappointing for $ 3. With the lack of a lot of options in Goose Hollow, I’ll probably end up returning here. The food is not bad, but a little on the pricey side for what it is. I don’t know if I’ll ever bring myself to try their burrito or chicken again though.

Great burritos as usual! The menu is smaller because it is a «satellite» café. I’m personally not a fan of Kale and that was all over the menu, but it was easy to find something delicious.
