The facials I had with Jane were great but she closed and left me holding a certificate for two facials that I will not be able to redeem.

As far as I can tell, this is a bogus business. The number on the website is disconnected, not sure how anyone is able to make an appointment, been lied to a couple of times by the owner (who’s number was given to me using the website email address). Owner does not seem to want to make good on a Groupon from almost a year ago, keep getting the run around when I’ve tried to make an appointment to use it! Given up, I don’t do business with cheats. Just feel badly that my sister gifted me the Groupon that she paid her hard earned money on and owner obviously has no desire to make good on it, took the money and ran!!! Should probably just contact the BBB… don’t waste your time and money, ladies!

I honestly feel bad writing this review and I hope that you don’t have the same experience. I also had some minor trouble getting my appointment schedule due to her business phone line not working and not getting a response via email. But I was able to get the time/​day I wanted in the end.
My biggest problem with Jane was that at no point was it relaxing. If anything, I was on edge the entire hour for my European Facial. There was a barrage of rough, cold and surprising things done to my face at random times. Let be honest, the reflexology is a joke. She’s able to hit the first point, but them she loses pressure and focus at all the other points, doesn’t matter if it’s on your face or feet. I hoped that when she left the room for my mask to set that I could finally relax but the music in the CD player kept skipping and distracting me.

I used a Groupon here for a facial. I ended up walking out purchasing another deal for a couple of facials.
I really enjoyed my facial. The facialist, Jane, did a great job. What I really enjoyed was the massage and reflexology part of the facial.
There was a little bit too much noise, but I can sleep through anything, so that didn’t bother me at all. There is no receptionist here, but Jane greeted me and then we did our facial. That little fact does not bother me one bet. Some of the best facials I have had across the States are in places just like this.

I used a groupon for a massage with Yuichi. It was a great experience, and if I lived in the Portland area, I’d definitely go back. The massage was a mixture of reflexology, deep tissue, some thai-​style stretches. Why such a combo of styles? Yuichi was able to quickly pinpoint problem areas and focused on them using the technique best able to improve my condition. He was knowledgeable and shared information about how I might improve my problem spots in the future all without reducing the relaxation of the massage

I can’t speak for the salon itself, but I will say that Natasha – a deep tissue massage therapist who works out of this salon – is amazing. I am a deep tissue massage therapist myself, and it is rare that I ever feel I receive the kind of massage I like to give. She massages with her whole body and her heart is behind every stroke. She cares a lot and it comes through, and I thoroughly recommend her.

I went here because 1. I had never had a facial 2. they were advertising a cheap facial and 3. I wanted to treat myself for my birthday.
I left here disappointed, a little broke, and not craving another one… which never usually happens for me during spa experiences.
First of all, my friend and I wanted to be on the same schedule and get one done together, but there was only one woman working the entire place. Secondly, it seemed a little suspect that she had to run the «front desk» and give facials at the same time…
I walked out with my face not feeling any more rejuvenated and her trying to sell me some ridiculously expensive facial care system.
Needless to say, I would not recommend this place… and I’m still looking for my first real facial!

HORRIBLE FACIALS! DO NOT GO HERE!
I must say, I was really looking forward to having a facial. I’m not too picky about facials and massages, and I’ve never written a bad review before. This one was EXCEPTIONALLY bad. I couldn’t believe it. First, she started 20 minutes late and I was already pressed for time, so she couldn’t compensate for that time lost. It was noisy (the person doing the facial, whose name escapes me now, forgot to turn her cell phone off and it rang twice, plus she kept going in and out of the room and left PEARL JAM on as «relaxation» music). She put so much gook on my face that it stang my eyes, and when she gave me a «scalp massage» she pulled really hard on my ears and hair. Her foot and arm massages were also really uncomfortable, to the point that I asked her to move onto something else (I never do that). There are many other negatives I could add to this, but if I kept on, you’d probably think this is a joke given how bad it was. Save your money and go ANYWHERE else in Portland.

Even though I live in the neighborhood, I hadn’t noticed this salon before this evening. It’s right off of 23^rd on Johnson, tucked away upstairs in a Victorian. Luckily I saw their sign when I was shopping announcing their open house for the holidays. They were offering a free 15 minute massage and facial, as well as refreshments, samples, raffle, and a free gift for stopping by. I’m not one to pass on that kind of bargain. I made my way upstairs to see if this was for real.
The salon is very cute. There is a waiting area, facial room, and massage room. The décor is cozy & warm. Lucan, the massage therapist worked with me first. I was offered refreshments before we went back for the massage. Although it was only supposed to be 15 minutes, it was actually about 30 minutes. He’s very pleasant and intuitive. He found the knots in my neck and shoulder blades while we talked, and discussed rates. He offers a first time special for $ 50 an hour, then it goes to $ 65. He also has a package of 3 one hour appointments for $ 120 which is an incredible deal.
Jane and I discussed my facial care regimen, and she evaluated my skin with a UV machine. She noticed I had some dryness around the eye and cheek area, and that I had very little sun damage. Good news! She started by cleansing my skin, then rather than exfoliating she did an intensive moisture mask and steam, along with a hand massage. She has a package of 3 facials for $ 180, or this evening $ 60 for a one hour European facial. The regular rate is $ 85. This includes cleansing, a mask tailored to your skin type, along with a shoulder, facial, hand, and scalp massage. She also includes foot reflexology in the service.
I bought the massage package, and one facial at their special prices. They also gave me a lovely candle and bag of samples to take home. I’m looking forward to coming back soon for my services. I walked out blissfully happy and relaxed.

I usually stay with my regular spa but I purchased an special offer for $ 50 giving me a 30 minute facial, 30 min massage and a $ 30 wax (I know, great deal)… the problem is that I purchase the offer and the expiration date (literally 30 days ago) had passed. They told me they would not budge at all on the certificate but would give me a $ 40 facial instead of $ 85… given that I had invested in the new spa I was FURIOUS that they would not honor the offer. Thinking that tip is usually 20−30%, they could have been looking at making more than $ 40 and a return customer who visits salons monthly. Instead I am telling my friends and Unilocal that I would NOT VISIT this salon. I work in the customer service industry and I know that our business would never have let a customer leave unhappy. Every positive experience a person has they tell 3 close friends. Every negative experience a person tells 7 people. I will never visit this spa again.
