come support this family owned business if you’re ever in Sellwood. at times there’s only one person in the store, so you may have to wait an extra minute, but it’s well worth it. their boba satisfies and the banh mi delights.

As chunk from goonies would yell, «Hey you guys!» I’m yelling. Come support this small family owned business! 4 $ Bahn Mi !! Yes, lastly someone hasn’t jacked up the price just because it’s an in thing. Lots of great Handmade food here. Come and get it, keep them open!

I decided to give Lily Sandwich a try since I was in the Milwaukie area of Portland. It is a small shop with a few tables and really friendly woman who runs the place. At the time I went it was the late afternoon and there was only one other person in the shop. I ordered an appetizer of salad rolls which were big. I think they needed less lettuce and some herbs in there. I tried the pork Banh Mi which was very good and the bread was nice and fresh. My favorite thing was the coconut bubble tea smoothie I had. It was the best bubble I have had in the Pacific Northwest! Not only was there boba on the bottom but it also had a very real coconut taste as well as had chunks of coconut meat in it! It was amazing to me because I love coconut bubble! I think if you are in the area you should check this place out! Good food, good service and a friendly and polite owner!

On a whim my girlfriend and I stopped by, as she was having a bad day and craving bubble tea. And holy heck was I glad we did. The banh mi is out of this world. Fresh, tasty and cheap. I wish more places like this were around Sellwood. My girlfriend got a taro bubble tea. She’s fairly picky and has had it from a variety from places. Her verdict? «F**kin’ delicous». I would say the same about my lemongrass chicken bahn mi. Two sandwiches and tea cost $ 12. Insane! But Insanely delicious. If you’re looking to avoid the hipster crowd at the local bars, hit this place up.

Menu keeps growing. Sandwiches good. Bubble tea good. Lady nice. Can’t wait for it to be cold enough to try the soups. Real Vietnamese music!

I’ve lived in PDX for two years this week and I’ve not found a great Vietnamese restaurant in that time until today. I saw it on my lunch when I was picking up pizza for tonight so I decided to give them a whirl. I was greeted warmly as soon as I entered. I ate an order of salad rolls and enjoyed the most delicious Bahn Mì I’ve ever had here and I cannot wait to come back in for more. Don’t let the modest exterior fool you: you’ll love it!

The lady was rude to me and screamed at me to sit down. The food is fresh and good quality. The restroom was clean and the tables too. She is alone working here so I didnt bother getting too much food.

Modest, unassuming locale, but no compromises on flavor! This place has seriously good sandwiches, prepared fresh on-site. No frills, just simple tasty food, for a fraction of the price you’d pay anywhere else. We have also tried the prepared dishes, which are very good. The owner’s children are there sometimes — cutest little kids ever, especially the eponymous Lily.

Ordered a meatball sandwich and pork vermicelli noodle bowl. Great all around. The owner was nice as well. Definitely be back to try the phở and treat myself to a bubble tea

Th beef phở was a 3 star but the grilled chicken vermicelli & egg roll was a 5 star. Lily is in effect a food truck but in a store. I’ve had beef phở in a lot of other places & Lilly’s did not measure up. But the grilled chicken was good. The sandwiches, apparently, are also pretty good — as reported by the Reed Students near by.

Lily Sandwich has the best Banh Mi. I really like what they put in the bread. It’s really good! I enjoy every kind of meat they put in! It’s $ 3.95. I think it’s worth the price because they put lots of meat in the bread. Also the owner is really nice!

Hellloooo, bánh mì! In the grand scheme of sandwiches, you’re one of my top boos. I love your bread. I love your jalapenos. I love your pickled carrot and cilantro. I could eat you every day. This spot has changed hands a few times in the last couple of years, the newest incarnation is Lily, advertising ‘Grand Opening’ with a large banner out front for a while now. Maybe it’s going to be grand forever. Inside… not so grand; a humble, petite café with maybe 5 small tables, a microscopic kitchen, and a counter. Friendly family staff. Sandwiches are $ 3.95-$ 4.25, choice of meats or tofu; optional pâté. That’s a price I can get behind. Other dishes include soups(brisket, chicken, or veggie), vermicelli dishes($ 7.50), and the usual gang of appetizers($ 3.50-$ 4.25) like egg rolls, pot stickers, salad rolls, and steam buns. Tofu sandwich + salad rolls is my jam. Lastly: if you’re a bubble tea fan, they have the whole set up, lots of flavors; served as milk tea or as a smoothie. On a super hot day, a fresh, salted lemonade will fix you right up($ 2.75). Best wishes to Lily, let’s hope it sticks around in their slightly hidden corner of this little strip in Sellwood. Jade Teahouse nearby may get all the bánh mì love for this part of town, but if you’re on a budget, this place will do you well.

Sandwiches were really tasty. Pick off the jalapeños if you don’t want the spicy. My 8 yo gobbled up the pot stickers but watch out, the sauce is spicy. Bubble tea was good. Sweeter than other places I’ve been but of course the kids loved that. It’s more of a take out place than sit down. I think they appreciate cash over credit but they do take credit. I want to try the noodle bowl with Vietnamese egg roll next time. The Vietnamese iced coffee is super strong!
