finally getting around to writing a review– was really dissatisfied with the guest service and felt way too uncomfortable. Not only that but the day after the facial, I completely broke out in hives all over my face. I do not have sensitive skin, either. Will never be coming back. My visit was a while back, in fact more than a year ago, but I still remember she was so completely unaccommodating to my needs (the guest!) that the experience still haunts me to this day. I literally was crying as she gave me a facial. I wanted to just leave the treatment – but I couldn’t, I had already paid for it online! How convenient for her. For being in Portland, this wasn’t the usual temperament one receives when dropping a couple hundred dollars. I am surprised that people go here considering how many other great spas there are in the pearl.

I love everything Sheila does — facials, waxing, brow maintenance. She «gets» my skin and its need for hydration (I’m over 60) and understands the skin of young women too. No matter what skin you’re in she’s the aesthetician for you! She’s amazing and everybody who knows her LOVES her!

Ok, so I’ve never actually written a review for anything in my entire life, but this woman seriously deserves one.
I’ve had acne for as long as I can remember, but it was never bad enough to stress about until I started picking my zits. When I’d finally realized I needed to jump-​start my skin I booked an appointment with Sheila (who I’d heard from Unilocal!was pretty amazing) and went in having never had a facial before. She made me feel SO comfortable from the moment I walked in, and talked me through every step of her facial routine. She turned my 30 minute facial into an hour class on how to heal and improve my skin, while working her magic the entire time; she even gave me sample products and a new skin-​care regimen to follow!
It was a fantastic first facial experience, and I’m stoked to see how her ideas will help improve my skin. Sheila knows exactly what’s she talking about, and is so genuinely kind and caring about other people. I would recommend her to any and everyone!

The BEST Facial in town, Sheila is amazing and knows her stuff, I have been seeing her for over 8 years and I would never go anywhere else. She made my out of control eye brows into a work of art, people ask me regularly where I get them done, and my skin is wonderful. Thanks to Sheila and her hydrating facials my skin looks amazing!

Sheila is amazing, I have been going to her for the last five years! I recommend her for facials, eyelash extensions, waxing and make-​up application. I receive many compliments whenever I get my make-​up done by her and it LASTS the whole day! Sheila provides wonderful facials because it’s not only relaxing but educational as well! So now, I don’t get facials as often because I know what I need to do to take care of my skin but I go back for other services. She really cares about her clients and makes sure we understand our skin types and what products will work best wtih it.
I highly recommend Sheila and will not go anywhere else!

I stopped taking the pill a few years ago and sadly, it turns out my skin is not as amazing as I thought it was. Couple that with a move from a dry and cold climate (wintertime in Chicago) to a more temperate one, and my skin was like, whaa? Actually, my husband was more like, «Whaa? Are you a teenager??»
So aside from going to a dermatologist and getting medicine for my face (which I am not super stoked about), I went to Sheila on a rec from a trusted friend with amazing skin.
Sheila is awesome. She does an in depth survey to look at your lifestyle, your health and your overall surroundings to get to the root of whatever it is that is causing your breakouts (or skin issues – and I have a few). She takes her time, and her space is absolutely serene and lovely. And she has great music choices to listen to when she works her magic.
After getting on the «program» she suggested for me – tailored to my specific skin issues – I have had a total turnaround in how my skin looks and feels, and I’m completely happy with the results.
I’m sold and I can’t say enough about how great Sheila is.

Shelia has a special touch like no other when giving a facial. I also appreciate how willing she is to fit me in at the last minute and when I was using her products for my skin she worked passionately to find me the right combination that best suites my skin.

Shiela I love you! I was looking for a make-​up artist for my wedding day for my mom and I. I called and everyone in Portland was either booked or charging over $ 200! I asked around was recommended to Shiela by tons of people. She even did the makeup for a Pearl Fashion Show that te store I worked at was involved in. I looked online (at that other review site) and saw lots of ravs. I called up and booked her, she asked if I wanted a trial or to see her work and I told her that her reviews said enough!
I came in with red just waxed brows, she gave me a mini-​facial and prepped my eyebrows. She was so nice and her personality was so nice and genuine. I was there for almost an hour as she worked away. She ended the make-​up with a sprtitz of a spray that she said would keep the makeup on.
My mom got her make-​up done to (she wears wet and wid and chapstick) and I asked that Shiela make her very «dramatic» and Bam, she looked like a opera singer, smokey eyes, dark lips so high-​end French fashion, it went well with her Black Velvet dress and wrap.
The makeup stood up all night and it took a while for me to scrub it off my face the next mornig (I slept with it on and it did not ruin the ivory pillowcase, although I am sure Shiela would not recommend.) Everyone at the wedding loved it and could not get over how beautiful it looked. My husband was shocked (in a good way) when he saw me!
I would highly recommend Shiela again, she was talented and had a great personality!
