After a recent move to Portland I was put in touch by referral to Dr. Lohr. I have found her to be thorough, thoughtful, informative and compassionate. I feel very fortunate to have found her as my my first attempt at a new Ob/​Gyn. Highly recommend.

I did not like working with Dr. Lohr. She sometimes seemed annoyed by my questions and I often felt like she was talking down to me. I chose her because she had a child and I expected her to be empathetic, but I did not get that feeling. In the end, a different doctor was on call when I delivered, and I think that was for the better.

dr lohr is one of the best doctors I’ve ever met. I first met her when she was on call and I was in the midst of a very complicated medical situation. she took amazing care of me in the moment and in follow-​up as things got more and more complicated. throughout that ordeal, she went out of her way to come into the hospital extra early before her shifts and to stay extra late to help me out when I most needed it. even more important, she respected my concerns and really listened to me when other doctors had blown me off and thought I was exaggerating my symptoms. turns out I wasn’t exaggerating and she saved my life – TWICE, actually – with urgent surgeries for two different issues a few months apart. then she supported me in getting pregnant safely even in the face of complications – and delivered my beautiful baby. trying to juggle clinic visits and surgeries and deliveries – like any OB – sometimes she runs late, and sometimes unexpected emergencies come up that mean appointments need to be changed. sometimes the clinic is busy and things feel a little more rushed than I’d like. but I just bring a book and know that I’ll be heard and believed once I’m in the exam room. it’s not always all warm fuzzies at a doctor’s visit! but I trust her judgement as much as anyone else I know. I would not hesitate to put my life in her hands (again) in the future any time I needed help with my medical problems. and I know I’m not the only one – I was excited to see her name in the top doctors list of portland monthly last year too!

I’ve had great experiences with Dr. Lohr. She is extremely responsive — and as a first time mom, I’ve had a ton of questions! I trust her expertise and her holistic yet pragmatic view of women’s health issues. Plus, she is a working mother who can relate to issues like breastfeeding/​pumping while at work.

I truly believe Dr Lohr’s expertise, compassion and genuine care for me and my family is what ultimately brought our little guy into this world. She went above and beyond to ensure our pregnancy was supported, listened to, and allowed us to make decisions based on her advice and knowledge.
Dr Lohr was amazing at talking us through every step, procedure, and test. Never once did I feel I wasn’t listened to or acknowledged.
I had my daughter at a different hospital with different staff, and ended up in a stressful 30hour labor and a 7day hospital stay. Dr Lohr was aware of this and took every step necessary to ensure that my labor with her was better staffed, supported and decisions were mutual.
I would completely trust her with my life and can’t recommend her and her staff enough!!!

Worst experience of my life!!! Run Run Run far away from Dr. Lohr! She has no compassion for anyone dealing with fertility, endometriosis or even listening to past medical history. She make you feel bad, talks down on you in a very condescending way, LIES and to top it all off she killed my baby!!! Seriously! I have a long history of miscarriages, chronic period pain due to endometriosis and heavy bleeding. She doesn’t care about her patients. When she made me have a D&C to kill my baby, come to find out she lied to me. She stated the baby was in my tube. Then why D&C!?? Then to find out the baby was actually in my uterus and was just fine. When she performed the D&C I have never been in so much pain in my life! She shot me with numbing medicine and instead of waiting for the medicine to take affect, she she just started the procedure (even a dentist waits a min for the area to numb before filling a cavity). I felt like a knife was being jammed in my private area. I was crying out in pain. When she tells her nurse, right in front of my husband and I, that she was sorry its one of those days. Really! One of those days. What kind of day did she think I was having!!? I was crying my eyes out, as shes telling me I must get rid of my baby and her reasoning was, because its Friday and she doesn’t want to be called into the emergency room for me. I have had an ectopic pregnancy before when I told her I don’t feel the same symptoms, I have had in the past. She then told me I read about the symptoms online. She loves to argue. I know my body, i didn’t read it on line. Never in my life, have I dealt with such a ignorant Dr. She is on some power trip and really doesn’t care about preventive care or women’s health at all. If I could zero stars I would. Instead, I will be reporting her to the medical bored. Please, don’t put your health in this women hands.

Dr. Lohr gets 5 stars from me!
First visit established care, woman wellness visit and she took time to talk with me prior to the physical exam to discuss my past medical history, current issues/​concerns and future plans. She gave recommendations regarding my health and wellness and made the pap the easiest I’ve ever had (super quick).
She also squeezed me in for a very short notice visit due to some pain I had experienced.
Wait time was quick and I always received a prompt call back when calling with questions or to relay info to then get started on labs, etc.
Office is clean and tidy.
My visits with her have been one of the best so far I’ve ever had (top two in my entire medical history) and I would definitely recommend her and Bridgeview Women’s Clinic.

You may want to call an hour before your appointment to see if the doctor is actually going to be there for it. Now, I completely understand that there are emergencies, but when you leave work early, search for parking and find out that your doctor isn’t there because of an emergency 5 hours prior to your appointment, that’s very unprofessional. I should have received a phone call an hour prior to my appointment to let me know she couldn’t be there. And when they called me the day before to confirm my appt., they asked that I call them if I need to cancel. The medical industry needs to be held more accountable. They are basically saying that their time is more valuable than ours and that we just have to put up with it because we don’t have a lot of options. If I did this to one of my clients, they would take their business elsewhere. This situation was handled so poorly and I was treated like the bad guy because I was upset about it. If you have options, you may want to choose a doctor whose staff respects you and your time. That’s what I did.
