Lox, scrambled eggs and capers on a fresh roll. It was just right. Good coffee. They could use a sign to tell you how to get into the place. Determined to have breakfast we found a back door into the dining area. It’s all good, I guess. At least when we return, and we will, I now know how to find the front door. Ah Portland. So weird.

I had a delicious breakfast sandwich with eggs and fontina on ciabatta. The ciabatta was perfect. The baked goods in their display case were beautiful and my friend enjoyed her apple sauce muffin very much. The bakery had an airy vibe and it’d be a nice place to sit with a good book. I wish they’d had more fruit drink options(like freshly squeezed juices or something…) but it is a bakery and not necessarily a café, I suppose.

We love the food and coffee at lovejoy bakers… I am rating this one lower as we have been there twice now and both times we come in to tables that are dirty

APPAULED! THEYDISCRIMINATE& are totally disrespectful!!! While paying for my Chai tea I noticed an offensive picture near the register. I kindly said to the woman behind the register that the picture was offensive & she said she would let management know. In this day & age & in this town I’m blown away how people can be so blantently unkind & disrepectful of others beliefs. While I was sitting drinking my tea the people behind the counter began to talk about me & laugh so I got up to leave & was devastated. I decided to take a picture of the disrepectful picture on the wall and they all criticized me. I’ve never been treated this way in a public place. I’m sad because my husband & I REALLY enjoyed this place but who wants to patronize a place that

Lemonade and pastries very good Service is prompt and friendly. One of the rare retail establishments that realizes that thermal receipts are not recyclable and gave me a receipt that was printed with a inkjet receipt printer on regular paper, extra points. This must be one of those only in Portland things. Close to the Arial tram. This place is excellent. Will return.

Just wanted good coffee, place was cool looking. White mocha was okay. My husband got the hot coco which was delish. Wish they had more of a selection. Guy at the front was a little bit of an asshole.

I have a soft spot for the place. Mostly because I cannot resist the Lovejoy Delux breakfast sandwich. It’s high on my list of favorite breakfast sandwiches ever. This location is small and parking is difficult, but it still has a similar vibe as the Pearl location. The service is slow, but I guess that can be said at both places. This one in particular seemed to have overlooked my order because I sat for awhile seeing order after me get served and sat ravenously waiting. I had to inquire about my order and I think they just handed me the next sandwich that came out, which may not have been mine. Oh well. They were kind about letting me take my «for here» coffee«to go» after my 30 min stay by just giving me a fresh cup of coffee in a to-go cup and dumping my cold mug coffee. Can’t beat that! They brew Stumptown and it’s delicious.

I’ve been going to this spot for years and have never had a bad experience. It’s situated close to the OHSU area so very convenient. It can be busy during the mornings, but great selection of food and drinks. The bread is also fresh and good to buy to take home. Definitely would recommend this café.

The coffee is good. The location is a mixed bag due to construction– noise and obstructed views. Will update with next visit based on food. Don’t forget to sign up for emails/texts — you get a 5 dollar coupon!

Yes, please, and thank you. Get the Banh Mi pork belly sandwich. If I have this once a week for the rest of my life, I will consider it a success. Perfect blend of perfect bakery bread, light yet yeasty, pork belly with perfect amount of fat, and perfect spices to fulfill your senses yet not over-the-top. We walk down to Willamette Yacht Club, pick up this sandwich, to go, and have a wonderful evening. One area to improve: For God’s Sake, offer diet pepsi, Lovejoy Bakery. You have alcohol, stop acting like diet pepsi is the death beverage. Stop judging us.

The staff is super friendly, and the food delicious. They have one vegan sandwich– smoked garbanzo beans with lemon hummus and spring mix of fresh baked bread. They subbed out a side salad for me, and helped me pick out a vegan roll(fig & hazelnut). The only struggle is that there are 3 parking spots available for 15 min at a time.

Completely unfamiliar with how a restaurant works. I should have gone to Fred Meyer and made my own food.

Classic, fantastic Portland bakery/coffee shop. Great setting at the base of the tram and near the new Tillikum Crossing. Sandwiches made to order and delicious treats. Nice staff too. If only they’d open a branch in Wilsonville!

I think this may be the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had and my friend had the oatmeal which looked incredible and he said it’s the best oatmeal he’s ever had. Def be back.

Griilled cheese. Fontina and white cheddar, a nicely grilled country white bread. Served with a side of potato salad = a very satisfying lunch.

Very grateful for this outpost on the river front as there are very little choices by my work. It is expensive and albeit small inside, but healthy food options like salads and soups. I had a grown up grilled cheese and cup of tomato and it came with a nice little potato salad. Expect to pay about $ 12 for lunch. Parking is limited and needs to paid for.

Don’t get me wrong. I love the décor, vibe and beautiful food. But flavor wise it doesn’t knock it out of the park for me. Everything tastes fresh and high quality, and would be a great place to take out of towners with the added bonus of them getting to try Stumptown coffee here. It’s certainly the best option at the waterfront but nothing is go out of my way to get.

Service here could use some improvement. Stopped in for a breakfast sandwich and latte, and provided my own(18 oz) travel mug. They made my latte in one of their cups. No biggie — when the guy went to remake it, I told him that won’t be necessary, and he can just pour the one he made into my travel mug. Soooo he does… But makes a huge mess, doesn’t wipe it up, and the latte barely filled more than half of my mug. Definitely wasn’t the 16 oz I paid for… If you made a mistake and I’m saving you the cost, time, and trouble of remaking my drink, at least make sure you give me what I paid for, and clean up your mess. Nobody wants coffee dripping all over the place! Sandwich was fine, but I’m not in any hurry to return.

Been here many times since it opened. Parking is minimal, prices are high for the portion size but the bakery goods are delicious.
