A decent course, pretty short and easy with a couple nice wooded holes. Some confusing shots played over the parking lot that you can’t really play if there are people parked there.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the location is excellent, just minutes from Downtown Portland. But more than that, it’s a very unique and varied course. Sometimes it does the unthinkable and weaves around and in between buildings. I hit, and almost broke, a window on one shot. I guess they don’t mind? Strangely enough(really strange if you’ve been living in Los Angeles for the past 25 years) a few shots direct you through the middle of a tall evergreen forest trail! As «very near the downtown area of a huge metropolis» disc golf courses go, I rank this one just above the Chavez Ridge course near downtown Los Angeles. I believe the course is on church property, which if true, is the first time a church ever made me proud. I might even start believing in god if disc golf courses start popping up on church property more often. Who knew god loved disc golf?! I play this course every time I visit Portland, and I really can’t wait to get back to it, one of the most interesting courses I’ve seen to date.

Location is great, just a few minutes from downtown Portland. Course conditions are constantly improving. I like that whomever is «in charge» of the layout has seemingly been mixing the basket locations up a little bit. I went 2 times in one week and the basket locations were adjusted on 5 of the 15 holes. It is nice having that little change up. I don’t know how frequently this occurs, but it is a nice touch. I generally find myself at this course after work on a weekday and it isn’t insanely busy. The course layout is pretty good. There are not too many holes that you have to wait on other players crossing through your throwing space. Maybe a couple of them cross. All in all it is a great course with a fairly simple layout. Some long, open holes, a technical section that is moderately wooded. It has a good flow. I think the next most important thing will be clear signage on the course. Now that the course design seems to be finished, I think it would be a worthy upgrade. They went from 12 to 15 holes. I think it may have even initially only been a 9 hole.

The good people of Greater Portland Bible Church had a lot of extra property on their hands so they made this disc golf course around their church. There are 9 holes and most of the tees are cement or packed dirt. It’s a pretty busy course because it’s so convenient and close in. I recommend it as a great starter course for beginners looking to get into the sport or for a place to go and play a quick game if you have an hour to kill.
