Macadam Liquor

You can tell that the guy working the counter doesn’t own the place cause he doesn’t have any idea of customer service. So what if I walk in at 6:58 and you close at 7, it’s not like I’m eating dinner. I was out by 7:01 and he had a passive aggressive attitude the whole time. The store is nice though.

This store has a nice selection of brandy’s, cognacs and whiskeys. Even has a bottle worth close to $ 5k on display. However, I did find it odd that when I asked for an opinion on how different a certain brandy tasted compared to another, the response I got was «I wouldn’t know. I don’t drink.» Part of the reason I like going into stores is to get advice on which bottle I should try for myself or give as a gift. I find it odd that someone employed at this liquor store has zero knowledge of what their products taste like in order to assist future customers. Overall, the individual I dealt with came across as cold and unfriendly, however if I am in a bind and need to pick up a bottle for a get-​together, I may revisit this store.

This store is one I use, depending on where my other errands take me.
The Good:
— parking and location
— attractive, pleasant interior
— have a reasonable selection
— they are very conveniently located near a great pet store and thai restaurant ^_​^
The Bad:
— One time I asked about a favorite brand of Vodka I thought I had seen there, and the fellow behind the counter told me he’d never heard of it, and that he didn’t think such a thing existed. I asked him to look in his computer, to be sure. He found it, but revised his «does not exist» to «can’t be imported into Oregon». I then pointed out I had bought it twice a store in Tualatin, and he just turned grumpy.
In conclusion, I’ll use it if I am going to the pet store or getting thai food, but if I have questions or want recommendations, I’ll save them for one of my other stores. And if I have a choice, I’ll drive farther

I LOVE MY LIQUOR and this is the place I usually get my booze!
