Madewell

As of summer 2015 the staff at this location is great, helpful, and friendly without being over bearing. Thumbs up to Ben who remembers shoppers by first name and answers all my annoying questions. The jewelry table is also a secret treasure box!

Stopped in here to shop and was greeted by a very nice store clerk. I was short on time so he quickly got me into a fitting room and out. Got a dress for 40 bucks, on super sale, and skipped out the door. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

It was okay. I was expecting more. Lots of hellos but no real help. In the mood to buy

If we’re only talking about the jeans: 5 stars. They will make anyones butt look 8000 times better.
If we’re talking about customer service: 1 star. I walked in with my partner WEARING a pair of Madewell jeans and was followed around the store and treated like a shoplifter? I ended up buying a pair anyway, so here’s $ 125 bucks to your sales goal, you rude piece of shit.
I’ll still buy Madewell, but online only.

Okay, I’ve never been to this location but I just talked to one of the sales reps at this location on the phone and I’m already a fan. I asked bunch of questions and the lady answered them in a very friendly manner. She was so nice and sweet!
I never expected to have this kind of pleasant over-​the-​phone experience with any clothing stores but this Madewell store in PDX def surprised me in a very positive way. Can’t wait to actually visit the store!

By far one of my favorite stores. I have been a frequent online shopper of Madewell for quite some time, but am SO excited they finally have a Portland location. Although is isn’t a small local boutique, they still make great quality clothing that is right up my alley. Plus, they do bring in some jewelry from local designers which is really awesome and gives the big box store a local flare. Every time I go in the store I find something I love. All the ladies that work there are alway so nice and willing to help out with whatever; fitting room, style advice, finding sizes. The last time I went to the store I was returning a shirt I had washed by hand, per the instructions, and it shrunk and became crooked. It was odd, especially since the quality is always so good. They’re customer service was great. I was afraid they may not return it since it was worn and washed, but I had no problem. I found another item to replace my shirt and was on my way. Love this store!

So excited this store is close by, they make the best denim!

THERE’S A MADEWELL IN PORTLAND??? OMG. I. DIE.
I loveeeee Madewell and am so so happy there’s finally one in Portland. I love their clothes and am a big fan of their skinny skinny denim collection so you know I won’t be leaving the store empty handed. The space is bright & roomy and everything was displayed nicely.
My only dissatisfaction was the lack of service I received. No one greeted me or said hi while I was browsing and I had to hunt someone down for the dressing room. Despite that hiccup, it won’t stop me from coming back.
Portland + Madewell + 0% sales tax = a happy me :)

So glad we finally have a madewell in Portland! Great selection of clothes, accessories and shoes, customer service is spot on, and perfectly located in the pearl. I’ve had a few great experiences here already, and I’ll definitely have more to come.

Madewell opened their Brewery Blocks location in SW Portland just off of 12^th and Burnside May 1^st, 2014.
Wuh-​woh! I’m in trouble with this store! Everything is so soft, so cool, and so so lovely. The employees were all pleasant and helpful and didn’t pressure me like they do in some stores.
