A friend and his family were visiting for a day, and their water pump started to fail on the way here. There was no way it would hold up until they got back home (a five+ hour drive), but they also had a tight schedule and needed to be back on the road the next day. Brett squeezed us in the same day and replaced the water pump quickly and at a great rate too. My friend and his family made it back home in plenty of time thanks to Manning’s Automotive.
The shop is clean, organized and professional. Brett communicated well with us and they did a great job. Honest, fair, friendly and professional can be VERY hard things to find in an auto shop (as it’s an industry where consumers can easily be taken advantage of). Manning’s delivers on all these points, and is the only shop I’d use in town.

I have worked with Manning’s Auto (and Brett) through 5 different vehicles over the last 15 years. The team there does very good work and they will get the issue solved. Everything has been fixed with no warranty claims. Vehicles they have done good work on include 85 Chevy Silverado, 2 Dodge Caravans, Toyota Corolla, and a 2003 F150 Ford. Prices are fair and they meet their schedules.

I trust them to fix only what needs to be fixed. Have 4 cars that go to Mannings and Brett has saved us money, one by finding problems with a used car we were buying that seller had to fix ($ 1100.00). Fixed air conditioner in 2006 Kia for substantially less than our previous mechanic. Have other friends in Tigard that use and like Mannings too.

Mannings employs ASE-​certified mechanics and, in my experience, they are highly competent. I’m a decent all-​around handyman with a general knowledge of most things mechanical, so, although I don’t know what an auto mechanic knows, I usually know if he knows what he’s talking about.
Mannings prices are quite reasonable. An oil change costs about what the oil change chains charge (try saying that three times fast!) and includes a written 52-​point vehicle inspection, a road test, vacuuming the car front and rear, and a coupon for a complimentary car wash.
Mannings also provides a 12-month/12,000 mile guarantee on parts AND, unusually, on labor. Over the years we’ve traded at Mannings, I’ve never had to return a second time for correction of the same problem. I did have one experience where a new problem arose out of a previous repair, so I can tell you that Mannings’ guarantee is honored without argument and, indeed, without asking.
