Had a good meal w/great service. Waiter very friendly and a «different» look at traditional cocktails and drinks. Open dining and not for the«intimate» look/feel. Cooking area open and large stand up bar as you enter the restaurant. Main complaint was the loud music. Being of the«Senior» generation would not go back for evening dinning, but would try brunch.

The food is good at times. However, some of the ladies customer service skill«suck!» Making order s with some of them via phone, can be annoying at times —some of the ladies need to realize that tone of voice is key especially via phone. At times, when you enter sometimes your greeted and sometimes your not.

Yum!!! I wasn’t so sure driving up to this place, but it had got some good reviews, so we decided to just try it. I’m glad we did! Husband got a HUGE Philly Cheesesteak that he enjoyed and I got the club BLT. Now BLT’s are pretty straight forward, but something about this just made it excellent! Not sure if it was the perfectly toasted bread or the right amount of all the fresh ingredients, but it all came together in delicious perfection. We don’t live around here but next time we’re in the area, we’ll be back!

Cute, authentic Italian café! Love the location right on Main Street in Portland. I came mid-week with my mom just to pick up some cannolis to take to a friend’s house. Service was a little slow, but we ended up getting out in time. Next time I’m in the area I’d love to try lunch here.

Went when they first opened and it was great! Pizza just the way my family likes it and the stuffed pepper soup and artichoke and spinach soups were out of this world… so I’m definitely going back again. The breakfast sandwiches couldn’t be beat!!! Next time went for pizza and decided to get Caesar salads as sides. This was the first time I had a problem. The sauce was more like paste and the salads were $ 8.95 each and came with Ken’s salad dressing packets… ummm, sorry, thats just uncalled for from a place that makes food from scratch. Not to mention that the salads were in a small container. So I figure its a bad night for pizza and remind myself to never order the salad again. Next pizza order was about as good as the first time, so I am a happy camper again! Next on my agenda was a hot meal so I ordered the chicken marsala. What a shocker! The chicken was on the bone, soaking in fat and there was a hint of marsala… all of that and the meat was so overcooked I tossed it in the trash. Ok, mental note to self… dont EVER get that again. The service is good, prices are a little high… the breakfast sandwiches are still good… not what they were, just skimpier. Last pizza we had was very good again. So in a nutshell, this place is very inconsistent. I wish they would get their act together and get it right all of the time. They have the potential of being the best restaurant in town.

The lunch specials are pretty good, I’ve had the pizza and I’d say it’s one of the better ones in town, and the pastries are delicious. That said, the service is disorganized, which makes it horribly slow. The girls are very pleasant, but if you go there for lunch expect to wait 30 min for your food, that’s after the 10 minute wait in line.

Great food love the breakfast sandwiches and pizza. They have a variety too choose from and when they have their stuffed pepper soup can’t get enough. Only issue is they are a little slow on the service side, but always friendly

Melilli’s offers a pizzeria, bakery, and catering service in downtown Portland, across the street from Portland police station and Youth Services bureau. I must say, they’re doing it well. They offer both pizza to order and by the slice. It’s a New York-style thin-crust pizza, and ordered by the slice you have to fold it. It’s very flavorful, and the crust is a standout. The other night, when we came by, they had two pizzas with broccoli as part of the topping available by the slice — one of which included bacon and fresh ricotta. Very nice. Customers order at the counter, and there is seating as well as take-out. It’s not fancy, but they can accommodate a pretty good number at lunch and dinner. And they’ve got really good baked goods. The four stars is for that pizza crust. It’s outstanding.
