I went to King Middle in the late 90s and lived on Sherman St. at that time. The place is a C-​store to meet basic snack and smoke needs. It has been dressed up a bit since I was last here. My husband wanted to try an Italian from a place other than Amato’s (which is my gold standard), so we came here after my stop at Lang’s.
He got a salami and provolone with everything; large size. After eating back at my folks house, he basically agrees amato’s is much better. The big thing was the assumption to use oil. Oil isn’t bad, but is IS messy as hell. Ask first is all I’m sayin’.
