So, I’ve been a big fan of this company, their cleaning teams, and how they’ve supported the regular rotation of guests that come through my property. In more than two years, there have not been any scheduling mistakes, and the level of cleaning quality is very high. They also go the extra mile when I really need something odd. I really cannot say enough, very professional. They really know what they are doing when it comes to maintaining a clean property. Their carpet shampooing is also PERFECT, and I have high standards!

They did an amazing job. We will use them again. Pet stains, markers, old stains… they got it all spotless and service was professional, friendly and very pleasant guy, who came to our place.

I’ve been living in my apartment for four years now, and I had forgotten what the floors were supposed to look like. I’ll admit it. I’m horrible at mopping. I don’t scrub things. I’m tidy — I’m not clean. I was embarrassed to hire someone, but IT WAS SO WORTH IT. Zachary, Marta and Hans arrived at my door at 6pm on a Tuesday. I had somewhere to be, so I took off. When I came home a few hours later, I was in awe. Turns out my kitchen and bathroom floors and baseboards are white. Like, sparkling white. The outside of my cupboards and my fridge? Cleaner than they were when I moved in. There’s no dust to be found in the bedroom. They even cleaned under my couch cushions, and who knows what kind of insane crumbs and dirty sock surprises were in there. I’m so impressed with the detail and care and it feels so nice to have a super clean home! Zach, Marta and Hans worked a miracle and I will invite them back into my home shamelessly and repeatedly. Mess Maids did an amazing job for us in Portland. This was actually our first time ever to use a cleaning service. We were a little uncertain and didn’t know what to expect, but the cleaners were nice and courteous, answered all our questions, and just really left our home looking spotless. There was even a nice followup email asking how service was.

I had a great experience with Mess Maid Right, the cleaning team was very courteous and professional. The attention to detail and thoroughness was excellent, they cleaned my home unlike it was ever cleaned before. I would highly recommend, and will use them again in the future. A++

I used them for carpet cleaning and found their work to be exceptional! They were very accommodating with scheduling, even cleaning them on Sunday. Craig was very professional, friendly and was thorough in his explanations. We have 3 pets and kids so that equals lots of stains. Craig worked some type of magic and had our carpets looking fresh and clean. He even got a red sports drink stain out that other cleaners could not remove. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to others.

I have been using them for a long time and they did a good job for me. I feel safe with them. Frankly with old homes, there are many little details to be careful about, so it is normal for people to make mistakes, but it is also important to see how they respond a reasonable request. They have always been fair with me, show up when scheduled, do their job quickly. I am happy with them and recommend them.,

Mess Maid Right NW is an excellent company! I am impressed by the level of top notch service that I received today from Craig. I called them just a few days ago and they had immediate openings, which I needed before I moved into my friend’s home due to my animal allergies.
He was professional and took the time to assess the work, set-​up the equipment, and worked for 4 hours deep cleaning the master bedroom, hallway, stairs and two couches. In addition, he saw some small rugs that had cat hair and took the initiative to do those as a courtesy.
I appreciated Craig’s personable spirit, attention to detail, and explanations of carpet care to me. Him and his fiancé Denisse own Mess Maid Right and they really do live up to the motto of messes being made right! This is my first time using a cleaning service and I am VERY happy with the results. I have already asked about cleaning my mattresses (and I’m trying to figure out what else they can clean just because they are THAT good! It would be great if they could clean the cat…)
I’ll happily choose them next time! In addition, they use quality eco-​friendly cleaning products, which smell great!

I threw a REALLY big job out to these folks and I have to say they rose to the challenge. Although the job was expected to take 3 people working 6 hours, in fact the job turned out to require much more time. Mess Maid Right sent an additional cleaner the next morning to do as much as possible within the bid. I really think they went above and beyond. It does help a lot if you are at the house to advise, answer questions, and do anything helpful that might slow them doesn

I am incredibly disappointed with this company and I would NOT recommend them to anyone. They not only showed up and did a terrible half-​ass job, but dealing with them afterwards was even more frustrating.
They showed up with a three person crew to do a move-​in cleaning at the last minute. For that part I was grateful. However, once they left I ended up needing to re-​clean almost all of the areas they cleaned, basic areas like floors, before I could even think to put my own furniture in.
The tenant before me had two dogs, and even after this crew left I was finding tufts of dog hair floating about the place as well as cob webs in corners, dust on the walls, balls of dift and hair still in the heat registers on the floor, and doors and baseboards completely dirty. When you hire a cleaning company to do a job, you shouldn’t be able to simply wet a paper towel, pass it once over a 1 foot area only to turn it over and see black dirt in the shape of your hand. You shouldn’t open cabinets and need to vacuum them before you can put your own items in. You also shouldn’t have to wipe down moulding and window sills because there is black dirt or old mud on them.
I paid $ 297 for that kind of work.
When I called and spoke to Denisse, the owner, she was nice enough to apologize for the lack of work and offered to have the crew come and re-​clean the areas that need it. However, I believe that work like that needs to be done right the first time and I’m not about to sit in filth like that whilst waiting on a crew to come back and do the job they should have to done while they were here the first time. On top of that, I had a moving truck outside with all of my furniture in it that needed to be unloaded and returned the next day, which meant that I didn’t have time to wait around for a re-clean…by the way, the crew knew that. I also do not want to have to deal with some angry employee who I just complained about coming into my home and I also do not want to have to stand and watch over someone’s shoulder while they work. I think it’s terrible for either person to have to deal with that.
All I asked the owner for was a refund of half of my money, I didn’t even ask for a full refund because I can at least acknowledge that they did do some work, even if it wasn’t good, and people need to make a living. She reminded me that I signed a service agreement which says that the workers need to come back and clean the areas I’m not satisfied with. What I would like to remind her was that I signed a service agreement stating that particular services would be done, which they weren’t to begin with. You didn’t fulfill your half of the contract to begin with.
If you provide an agreed upon service, then you should provide the service and when someone like me is as unhappy as I am and I also send you pictures of the crap work and filth that was left behind, you ought to apologize and offer to do whatever is possible to remedy the problem. Whatever happened to old-​fashioned customer service? I guess they would rather receive a bad review than provide a small refund.

I was signed up for their bi-​weekly cleaning service for 5 months. The very first ‘detail’ clean had one horrible mistake, a few obvious missed spots and some good results. The glaring mistake was cleaning my vinyl floors with Murphy Oil. I had made it clear in the pre-​cleaning interview with Denisse that these were vinyl floors and I wanted them cleaned with a vinegar solution. Somehow, that information got lost. When I came home it looked like someone had poured wet flour on my floor and walked all over it. How could it not have been clear to them within the first couple of minutes that these obviously were not wood floors??? It took me hours to scrub most of the oil out, and I had to do it again the next day to get the rest. Fortunately, it did no lasting damage.
So, they never did that again, but through the months there were other problems. They started spending less and less time in my house. By the end they only brought 2 people and were gone inside 45 minutes. I noticed dust bunnies popping back up in a matter of a couple of days. I noticed the toilets weren’t even close to scrubbed. The back slider was so smeared after cleaning that I’d always have to re-​do it to be able to see outside. I could go on and on here, but I think you get the idea.
The worst errors were what they did to my wall mounted speakers and my furniture. We had expressly told them NOT to clean the wall mounted tvs or speakers. They ignored this and I came home one day to find all the speakers pointed in odd directions and one of them hanging off the wall! These things are bolted in tight so they must have absolutely yanked the crap out of them for that to happen. So, I called Denisse and complained about it.
Of course, it happened again a few weeks later. This time only a couple of them were yanked out of place, but the one that originally was nearly off the wall was in even worse shape. I should have terminated the service then but I guess I believe in giving people chances to fix their errors.
After that the service really went downhill and I noticed the bottom of my wood furniture all had nicks in it, clearly from their vacuum cleaners and/​or mops ramming into them.
I’m having trouble with them getting confirmation of cancellation of their services and am starting to get worried about them having an extra set of my keys. I would recommend avoiding this company. Also, be careful of reviews written right after the first, initial visit. They seemed pretty decent at first and Denisse is nice over the phone. It takes a little while for it to go downhill.

Very disappointing customer service. I purchased a 3 hour cleaning through Groupon Immediately after they left we noticed they had permanently damaged our wood floors with a deep, thick scratch that completely removed the dark stain and left a jagged edge. They offered a free wax (as a way to reduce the appearance), but only if we signed up for continuous service. The other option was to have someone come out to repair the area and we were told someone would contact us after the weekend to see what we’d like to do. No call. I’ve called three times since and e-​mailed and I’m not getting any response. It’s been 11 days. The voicemail greeting says they’ll respond within 24 hours and the website says they have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee and insurance to cover any property damage that may occur. I’m disappointed to find they don’t follow through with the service they advertise. It’s unfortunate it may take legal action to get a response from Mess Maid Right.
