Beth Yohalem-​Ilsley is amazing! She helped me through my first pregnancy, trying to get pregnant for a second time, and is now treating me through my second pregnancy. She also did infant craniosacral therapy on my daughter to help with nursing issues we had.
Beth is more than just an acupuncturist, she truly cares about her patients and offers advice for all aspects of pregnancy and postpartum. I highly recommend seeing her!

As a student of Chinese medicine myself, I am very picky about acupuncture treatments. My partner had seen Justin about half a year ago and told me it was the best check-​up he’s ever had. Justin didn’t just check everything quickly and dismiss him from his office, instead he explained what he was doing, why it was important, and gave healthy lifestyle tips specific for my partner.
A few months ago I was looking for a new acupuncturist, and my partner told me I should check out the Mississippi Health Center.
I liked Beth the first time I saw her, but now that I’ve been seeing her for longer, the treatments are really starting to soar.
She isn’t one to just stick needles in you, with a variety of tools in her toolbox (including acupuncture, moxabustion, craniosacral therapy, body work, and on and on) Beth really treats the whole person, not just the body in front of her. She gets to the root of what is ailing you and helps you release it.

When I began seeing Justin I had a battery of miscellaneous health concerns. Nothing life threatening, but quality of life diminishing. The stars aligned and brought me to Justin after getting fed up with doctors trying to medicate me out the door without even looking at me from over their computer screens. Which brings me to my first point — no computer screens.
A first meeting with Justin will last about 90 mins. He just sit patiently, listens and ask questions. No computers, no feeling rushed, just genuine human interaction. It’s amazing how great it is just to have a doctor listen and really care about what you’re saying. The last part of your appointment is acupuncture, if your into that sort of thing. Naturopathic medicine does require more of an investment, finding a holistic answer can take awhile! My experience has been that it is 100% worth the time and effort. A dramatic diet overhaul, a few other changes here and there and I feel better than I have in years.
Justin accepts many different insurances which was a major perk for me. He also offer Saturday appointments. I feel incredibly lucky to have found a doctor like Justin, I really feel like I’m in good hands. And shouldn’t you too? You’ll be happy you did, I promise!

I’m head over heels for this place! Mississippi Health Center offers beautiful care to their patients, from the moment you step in the door and accept a freshly brewed carafe of healing tea to the time you step out on the street after receiving excellent whole-​body care and treatment.
I took my newborn son to see Beth Yohalem-​Ilsley for some infant craniosacral therapy to work on his latch. He is a fussy kid, but he loved being in her hands. He was always happy after his «brain massage» appointments. Most importantly, the results, after three visits with Beth Yohalem-​Ilsley was a perfect latch — my midwives called it «textbook» and told me I should take photos for the medical journals.
Dr. Beth Yohalem-​Ilsley is highly trained in many eastern medicines (acupuncture for infants and adults, oriental and naturopathic medicine, pediatric craniosacral…) but it is the holistic pelvic care that got me in for myself to have a post-​birth six week check in. Again, excellent results and a great experience during what could have easily been awkward and uncomfortable.
And the tea! It’s such a detail, but an important part of the hospitality aspect. I loved all of the flavors I sampled and then found out that they make the tea themselves and sell it perfectly packaged for you to take home or gift to a loved one.
Beth is a warm, interesting, friendly person but above all professional. A wonderful combination of excellent care and practice. Thank you for all that you did for my son and I!
