This is my very favorite place to go for pizza, music and fun! The pizza is wonderful, the musical groups superb, and the atmosphere always delightful! The wait staff and service are great, very friendly. It’s perfect for the family or for adults after hours. Maybe it’s because all the best people hang out here! Whether you’re looking for great vegan or gluten free pizza, or just great entertainment this is the place to be!

Our go-to pizza spot! There’s an amazing variety of pizzas, including veggie and vegan options, quality ingredients, good beer on tap and live music. Great place to unwind after work day/week.

Little selection of slices for $ 2 on special. We really liked this place. The workers were very friendly and welcoming. The pizza was good. I enjoyed my slice and will definitely be back for more. I’m even willing to pay full price for a slice here. They’ve got $ 2.75PBR which always brings a smile on a hot day. Great for pieces of pep. One of the better pizza joints in Rip City imo

Good pizza, cool door guy, great service and excellent live music. I got to hear Pura Vida play salsa music and they are fantastic!

We were looking for a spot to eat that also had live music — Mississippi Pub has live music everyday! The left side is the restaurant where you order pizza slices and full pizzas at the counter. The right side has the live music, tables, and a bar in the back. They also have a ton of booth seating outside, and you can still hear the music. Luckily the outside seating is fully covered so we didn’t have to worry about the rain. It’s a pretty kid friendly spot(but no kids in the bar side past 9pm) since they have paper, crayons, and board games available. As for the pizza, these slices are huge! One was just enough for me. I ordered the ‘fancy veggie,’ topped with artichoke, broccoli, ricotta, and red bell pepper. It was tasty, but at the same time nothing special. The slices are already made and sitting under the heat lamps at the counter, but they put them in the oven to heat them up for you once you order. The full pizzas that came out fresh looked super good too, but if you can’t decide on one pizza type for a group, I’d just go with the slices so you can pick your own.

Yum-o-rama pizza, worth making a trip for!!! I was here Karaōke Night, and have to say it was fun, frivolous, just volumes seemed too high for the room. One expects it at a live music venue — but not for a singalong… Big crowd! Go early if you wanna go on that nite and grab a great seat. I will seriously seriously be back for pizza tho! Line the kind I loved in NYC!!! Thin n crunchy crust!

I live near here and stop in for pizza slices all the time. All the pizza is delicious, so try everything! $ 3.50 slices + beer, can’t beat it. The atmosphere is also super cool.

Awesome little place for DANCINGYOURBUTTOFF! Cocktails aren’t bad. Pizza is tasty. And technically I can eat and drink unlimited-ly because… I can dance the calories off! Wooh!

Mississippi Pizza is one of the most reliable, tasty pies in Portland. The staff is always friendly. Beer selection is always solid, and it varies. Live music every night! Full bar at Atlantis! The only reason I won’t give it 5 stars is because there is generally only one person managing the food register area at any given time. This means that usually the same person is taking orders, processing payments, and prepping the slice/drink orders all at once. This keeps the line long — much longer than it needs to be. We come almost every for the kids shows of either Mr Ben or Red Yarn. If we arrive any later than 4:45pm then I can’t order food for me and my little one unless we miss a good portion of the musical fun :( Even if Mississippi Pizza had one additional staff who gets pizza and drinks ready while one person manages the register it would make it all more efficient and enjoyable.

As things heat up in the summer time I start to transition away from burritos and to pizza. What better way to star my off with trying a new pizza place? This is my first experience here. And defiantly not my last :-). Let me tell you about their standard ‘roni. This pie was $ 17 for a large. We had a coupon(Raymond is thrifty). Where Mississippi separates from the pack is by taking everything you know about pizza, and throwing it in some sort of oven paradigm. What comes out is a non-traditional open faced exposé of dough, sauce, cheese, and love. Pepperonis were infused with the kind spirit of a Greek god. But you won’t find this pizza flying too close to the sun, they let it properly cool before serving. Nothing is worse than melting you face on anything expect rock and roll. Didn’t get to the bar(unusual for me) but I did take a picture of a nice family. I asked my grandson to remove the faces. But I wanted to show their sound system. Ok goodnight I’ll update when I try the aqua bar.

What can I say? This place is legit, and was exactly as advertised. Located in a cool area in Portland, this place was bustling with patrons the ENTIRE time we we’re there. Kept it pretty simple. Two mediums for the four of us. Got the«Stanton» and a pepperoni. Crust was awesome. Decent beer selection and they have a full bar as well. Also live music. Way kid friendly. All good stuff. Pay a visit to this joint – you won’t be disappointed.

This review is long overdue. We have been to Mississippi Pizza several times for music events. Each time it is a little different. Located on a busy street of Mississippi this business is a walk up with on street parking. It is a popular music venue with a variety of acts throughout the week. You walk up to the counter and order or pick out some pre made slices. They have a separate bar room in the back called the atlantis lounge. Pizza 3.25 it was ok. Not much flavor. It use to be better. we ordered the vegan Hey Jude and the Zorman. We ordered extra sauce. Did not get extra sauce. Which is the whole point in why we didn’t order the pre made slices. So we could customize. The crust had a good texture. not much flavor. I was surprised when it came to our table the steam was coming off the top. What is weird is that my husband got up to get napkins and some forks and when he got back in just those 2 – 4 minutes the temp of the pizza dropped. It had dropped to lukewarm and you could pick it up and eat it with no problem. The best part of the meal is when my husband returned with a surprise chocolate brownie. 5⁄5 Now that was awesome. somebody there can bake! The staff has always been friendly and accommodating on both the pizza side and in the lounge room. 5⁄5 I am thankful of that. Dining room staff could take a little extra time wiping down tables and sweeping up after patrons. It needed it. 2.5 3.75 –4.0 The music venue set up. I am thankful for places like this. Small venues where local acts and traveling smaller acts can sign up a few months in advance to play. They have both family friendly entertainment to karaōke to adult folk acts and bands. We were there to check out this folk band I came across online. I wished we had come in sooner to get a seat near the front. We arrived about 10 minutes before the act went on. The front area was already packed. We had to sit in the corridor between the seating for the stage acts and the lounge. The area where one can still sort of see and hear. Sadly after a few minutes a group of cabaret scenester«„kids“» and their friends(all young adults) came in and sat in the corridor. They were being very loud, obnoxious, and disrespectful. I am surprised as I later realized that they too are musicians or maybe they were the violin students of the performing violinist from the folk group that was playing that night. Funny thing is this was a similar situation to when we stopped here for Karaōke a few months back. The scene kids were so obnoxious then we didn’t even bother sticking around to sing. Anyway, MPP should consider the improvement of adding speakers to that corridor area and maybe a tv monitor connected to a camera that overlooks the stage. That would improve the experience of those who are there to view and listen to the entertainment. This would help drown out the self centered obnoxious«„kids.“» We will be back there. I am thankful to have this music space in our city. I hope they take thought to my recommendations for improvement.

Awesome pizza and a really cool staff. They catered an event for us and went above and beyond in terms of delivery time, accommodations and, of course, the pizza was great. Definitely one of our favorite pizza spots in town, and the lounge is great too.

Good pizza, but slow service. Not to mention the location fantastic, so go for a slice and a beer!

Another place I take for granted. Mississippi Pizza does so much for the Portland community. It’s a great place to see a band, or a belly dancing troop, or a storytelling show with the pre-K crowd, plus tasty food, great beer, lovely cocktails, and a staff that always stays friendly even when all heck is breaking loose. And it often is! No «we’ll tell you how to eat here» attitude. If you want to see how PDX does things right, this is a role model for businesses enhancing their community. Did you know they even have benefit nights where you can stage a fundraiser, take donations, and they’ll give you 10% of sales? Even at it’s jam-packed, long-lined, loud music, kid-crazy chaotic early evening hours, Mississippi Pizza is the best!

Great for a quick bite while window-shopping along Mississippi. A casual neighborhood spot with pizza by the(generous) slice with options for normies, vegetarians, and vegans alike. The place was plastered with posters for musical guests and events — probably worth checking out if you live in the area.

I had a great time at trivia here. I recommend going, even if you think trivia isn’t for you. It’s a fun atmosphere and $ 2/person to enter. You can have teams up to 8. I will definitely be going back to enjoy another night of trivia. It’s gets full pretty past on these nights so try to get there a little early. I just had their IPA on tap which was good. All of the staff were friendly. I didn’t get to try their pizza but it definitely looked delicious! I’ll be back to try it for sure.

great pizza, great beer. Good mid-day specials. I found the tap selection very up and coming. The Pizza was good and generous. Slice was $ 4. It contained Pepperoni, GoatCheese, and Jalapenos. The name was catchy but it escapes me. The counter server was friendly. I like the eclectic décor and Halloween Decorative Touches. I’ve never hung out properly at the Atlantis Lounge but I know they host LIVE music and have a cooler, loungy vibe, naturally. Outside seating, bus your own table.

What a great time, experience, and best of all delicious food! It was my first time on Mississippi Ave as I’m pretty new to Portland and currently live in SE and looking for a place to eat I choose Mississippi Pizza and boy did I luck out… Food: Had a slice of pepperoni and ham/pineapple…wow just terrific. Drinks: Had a cider on tap oh very good as well. Ambiance: There happened to be live music going on in the extra room and it was draped off creating a relaxing ambiance and there was nice people with a live band playing. Good times.

Local, local, local. Family-owned. Good, Good, Good. Yes, the area is so popular you may have to park your car or bike a block or two away. But that’s good exercise. Mark Kirchmeier

Best vegan pizza served here. I’m not a vegan but I’ve had what amounts to poor imitations of vegan pizza elsewhere. This is the real deal. This is also a fun venue to watch bands play! And a fun venue to perform at. I like dropping by at the end of the night for pizza. It will still be busy and the pizza is still tasty. Enjoy!

Much better experience here today. The slices seemed a bit larger, service was better, and we were given our slices right away so they were hot and fresh. We also tried one of their brownies, which I highly recommend!

Good pizza. Friendly service. I came here on a Monday night after seeing the long line at Porque No. I am glad that we did, otherwise we may have not tried it. The pizza is great. Their sauce is unique. Prices are a premium, but its not over the top. We had the pizza which had bacon, bbq sauce, and other goodies on it. I don’t recall the name but it was super good. I would go back for sure.

I had Mississippi Pizza Pub for the first time. They offer vegan and vegetarian slices. The price point is reasonable and big slices are available. They have long hours so satisfy that pizza urge anytime.

We come here again and again for the gluten free pizzas. It tastes like pizza, you can actually pick it up, and the toppings are delicious. I call that a five star success.

Tried Mississippi Pizza for the first time tonight. I’ve lived in Stumptown for 11 years and this is the best pie I’ve ever had. We had ½ Portland and ½ Maggie May and it was stoopid good. Homemade pesto sauce and smoked bacon were an awesome combo. Caesar was decent but the pie was out of this world. Definitely coming back here.

My husband and I came here on our trip to Portland. We were in the area checking out various places and figured we’d stop in for pizza. The customer service was great and they had a variety of beers on draft. Our pizza was okay. We got the margherita pizza, but It was tomato overload. The taste wasn’t bad; I just found myself wanting more sauce and less tomato. I’d be willing to try the place again next time I’m in Portland.

For Pizza places this is as good as it gets. Quick hits with slices ready in a couple minutes. Good selection of alices from plain all the way to fancy meat and vegetable slices. They offer some accompanying appetizers not just all pizza. I recommend the ceasar salad. Its a tasty treat a little better than your average pizza joint ceasar salad. They also offer gluten free pizza that taste great also. Thw other side offers a night club scene. There are live bands that come through and they get some great acts to stop by and put on a good show. Acts also include some childrens somgs and sing along times really great if you have kids. There is outside seating available year round and its covered.

Love love love. Wow! Had an amazing time here. The pizza is to die for really, ordered a large with a friend and couldn’t believe the size of it! It was truly fantastic. Additionally, they have two bars here with plenty of beer on tap. The band that played was very good, actually making the place extra packed for a Sunday night. The service was top notch, everyone was very friendly. Its a pretty cozy place when its full but we managed to snag a table in the back, by tge 2nd bar. Overall the night was a great experience. I would totally recommend this place, especially to those who love good pizza and beer, yes yes!

Totally messed up our delivery time for office luncheon. No biggie except they could have not cared less.
