I have a greyhound who was NOT doing well on kibble. After about a week of changing his food, and then fasting him, we tentatively decided to try feeding him raw. Up to this point, I’d been buying raw bones from Moe’s to supplement his kibble, but we learned that raw is the way to go for ALL of his food. His body tolerates it just fine, what comes out is, for the most part, normal and expected… and Moe’s Meats makes it all easy to do. They’re flexible, and it’s great to learn that they are now carrying more products than before. A little planning may be required, depending on how much you need and how soon you need it, but I can shoot them an email for 30# of turkey necks and get in my car to pick it up 15 minutes away. The pricing is competitive, and it’s great to support a local business.

After months of serious chronic illness, many attempts to change foods, some stints on kittie steroids, etc, we finally arrived at the raw food idea. We had never really heard of /​thought about this before, and had always just fed our cat dry food, but we were on our last rope and the more we read the more it seemed like it was worth trying raw. So we bought a bag of Primal at Furever Pets. To our complete and utter shock, within 48 hours of giving him the raw food chunks his issues were completely gone. Our friends were commenting on how shiny his fur was, even. It was incredible, in the original sense of the word. But the Primal food is not cheap! It was running us a few bucks per day for our large Maine Coon. So we were pretty excited to discover Moe’s Meats, not only a local company (Yay for local!) but like half the price! So far so good. Thanks!

My wife and I were thrilled when we found Moe’s Meats… Courtney & Dave are great people and they try to meet all our raw food needs! The orders are quickly filled with special attention to our little Pico’s need for small bones, with their recommendation of Lamb… which he LOVES! We’ll be customers for life, another Portland bonus! :D

When I switched my cat to a raw meat diet I was going through tubs of Rad Cat like crazy, and it was really hurting my wallet. I decided to make his food myself, and found this awesome company to buy the meat chubs from. Supporting local businesses is important to me, and I love the no-​hassle system they have going– Order the meat and they have it ready and waiting for you. I can get to Moe’s in 5 minutes, and the transaction takes less than 2. No time wasted in my day! Thanks guys. :)

I’ve been buying meat from these guys for years, and now I can’t imagine ever getting my dogs’ meat any other way. The quality is great, both the owners are super friendly and personable and the prices can’t be beat. My schedule is crazy and it’s great that they’re always flexible about when I can pick up my purchase. Lastly, I love that the meat is local and by buying from Moe’s I’m supporting a local business too.

Moe’s is my go-​to source of meaty goodness for my beast. Love those frozen two-​pound chubs from Columbia River Natural Pet Food. (Mmmm… cow pie.) Great prices and service! Happy to support this local, dog-​loving business.
