Delicious creamy drinking chocolate, perfect consistency! The cup was a bit small though, and I definitely wanted more than just one.

Weather was hot hot hot when we visited Portland, so we decided to cool down and take a break from the heat at the mall. Came across this Moonstruck stand, and since I had seen the storefront elsewhere in downtown Portland, I decided to try a shake. I got the s’more shake, which was much smaller than I expected for the price. Texture was exactly what I like in milkshakes, but flavor was too milky and not really chocolatey enough. It was also too sweet to really taste anything.

The best chocolate milkshake ever! The only place in Portland that I would drink milkshake chocolate! They’re rich, thick and yummy! If you’re looking for milkshake then this is the place that u need to go! I really like the conquistador.

I came here yesterday and now I’m back again! I bought more macarons from here to take back home with me! the worker also gave me samples of their chocolate bars and I ended up buying a few to bring back to my workers. And since I was already here… I decided to try one of their milkshakes as well. I ordered the Conquistador and I have to say that it tastes just like their chocolate candy bars in milkshake form! Delicious!

Horrible, horrible customer service!!! Never coming again. There was a group choosing chocolates and we picked up a pre-boxed set and went to the register. The person behind the counter would not even take 2 seconds to check us out. In fact she waited until the whole group behind us finished picking and checked them out before us. I was willing to let it go but then she starts checking out the group behind them. I tossed the chocolates back on the counter and walked away. I will never ever buy moonstruck chocolates again

Cute little chocolate shop in the middle of the lower level in pioneer place mall. They offer drinks too not just chocolate, although the chocolate was verrrry decadent.

What a cute chocolate shop! When I was visiting Portland and struggling to think of what to bring back to California, I stumbled upon Moonstruck. Chocolate was easy to pack and didn’t take up much space. Coffee lovers, be sure to grab a couple bars of the dark chocolate espresso bean. So good! It was a hit with my co-workers when I brought then to share.

Moonstruck is without doubt delicious chocolate. I would even advise having it in Pioneer Place over the hellishly messy Panda Express wannabes that they have in their food court if you have to eat in the mall rather than the wonders of cuisine we have all over downtown. The chocolate is rather flavorful, but it’s not anything spectacular. A lot of things like the Endangered Species chocolate you might see in markets might be more complex to the gastranome. Moonstruck does offer all kinds of forms — bars, truffles, shakes, however you want your chocolate. It also does have more depth than most chocolate you come across and the truffles feel very tender and sweet. The bottom line is that if you are in the mall, this is to be recommended, but a life without Moonstruck is not a life of shame. There are many other brands that are just as good or better, and the price for all these things in the mall is kind of high. Moonstruck is a neutral place.

Stoped here as it is so conveniantly located! Got a few chocolates and a mocah. Not crazy about my drink w/e it was but the chocolates were good. The prices are pricy yes but other shops I went to in Portland had about the same prices so. I will probly buy from them again as I love chocolate and there location!

Wanted to stop by their actual store and did not get the chance. I was super excited to see their mall location in Pioneer Place. It was a cute little booth-like area. The worker there, her name escapes me, was super! She helped me out so much with recommending and letting me know what I could do for the boxes, especially being someone out of state and not knowing much bout this places other than Unilocal reviews. She also was not upset when I asked tons of questions, like which has alcohol(was concerned because my sister is having a baby soon!) and even took out the the trays of chocolate from the display so I wouldn’t have a glare! :) *amazing us timer service always gives that 5 stars! I got a 6 piece box, but felt like I should’ve gotten the 9. I haven’t tried them, but the sample of the Gift milk chocolate one was great! It was about $ 15, which I can understand or high-end truffles or chocolates. There are some shaped as animals! perfect for my niece! The packaging is adorable and I just love the bag, for some crazy reason. Would definitely stop by again if I’m ever in the area. :)

High quality chocolate at a high price. This location was very close to our hotel in downtown Portland. We must’ve walked past it a hundred times, but they close pretty early. The lady working there was very nice and allowed us to sample several different confections. The salted peanut butter bark was heavenly! Great selection of truffles, many of which were decorated as cute little animals to make them even more irresistible. I picked up a few salted milk chocolate toffee bars as souvenirs for only $ 4 each. I also got a couple macarons for myself, but sadly, they were average. Macarons are sacred to me. If you can’t do ‘em right, why bother? Just stick to making those luscious truffles!

A little pricey but DEFINITELY worth it! We decided to try Moonstruck based on reviews in a Seattle guide we had. We didn’t realize that it was literally in the middle of a mall. We tried a sea salt peanut butter truffle and a white raspberry truffle. Both were extremely decadent and not overly sweet.

Disappointing. Purchased 3 pieces(about $ 10) — Toffee pig truffle: I love all things piggie related, but unfortunately, this did not cut it for me. Tasted Just OK, a little bland even. I expected more for the $ 3.75 price. Cookies & Cream cone: Eh. It tasted like a small piece of a Hershey’s cookies and cream bar. I was not impressed at all. Peanut Butter cone: this was the best out of the bunch. It was creamy, not too rich, and nice on the palate.

Super cute chocolates, but they are NOT cheap! The fancier hand-decorated truffles in animal shapes will set you back $ 3.75. Luckily for me, my friend purchased a small box of truffles so I didn’t have to pay for them. I got to try: –Ivory Toffee Mouse Truffle(Milk Chocolate Toffee Ganache in the Shape of a Mouse Dipped in Ivory Chocolate and Hand-Decorated, $ 3.75, ): Yum! This was my favorite out of the bunch. It was a little on the sweet side, but the milk chocolate toffee combo was delicious, and the mouse was super cute. Highly recommended! –Wild Huckleberry Truffle(Creamy Ivory Chocolate Ganache, Topped w/Wild Oregon Huckleberry Preserves, Inside a Milk Chocolate Shell w/Ivory Chocolate Stripes, ): Just ok. The huckleberry preserves didn’t work well with the chocolate flavor in my opinion, and I wouldn’t get this again. –Extra-Bittersweet Black Cat Truffle(Extra-Bittersweet Ganache in the Shape of a Cat, Enrobed in Dark Chocolate and Hand-Decorated, ): Pretty good, but nothing special except it is in the shape of a cat. –Milk Chocolate Lab Truffle(Milk Chocolate Ganache in the Shape of a Chocolate Lab, Enrobed in Milk Chocolate and Hand-Decorated, ): Eh. just alright. The milk chocolate didn’t have much taste, and this was my least favorite amongst all the animal shapes. Overall, I would have been disappointed had I purchased the truffles. I’ve had Moonstruck a couple other times and so far, my experiences have all been a little disappointing. The chocolates look so cute and delicious, but often times they don’t taste delicious. Also, the prices are quite high for their products. If you’re in Portland, I would still recommend trying Moonstruck once, but have low expectations and be prepared to pay a pretty penny!

Definitely got my birthday treat from here instead of getting a cake this year. Tried a few of the truffles… SO good and rich and amazing and delicious. They pair perfectly with an espresso. Perfect balance. A little pricey, but who cares. If you’re going for chocolate, go all the way and go with Moonstruck.

On Lisa N.‘s advice, I came here for a sweet treat while shopping in Pioneer Place. Usually, I just pass by places like these in shopping centers, but she said that it was a must try. I ordered the Conquistador milkshake and bought myself the milk chocolate Mayan bar to take home. The milkshake was full of chocolate, carmel, and hazelnut which was the perfect way to satisfy my sweet tooth. It tasted like a liquid Ferrero Rocher chocolate. Mhmm… I can taste it now… The chocolate bar was good too! $ 3.50 for a small bar of chocolate is a little steep for me to pay on a regular basis, but being on vacation, I figured it was justifiable. It was creamy, milky, and the hint of cinnamon put this chocolate over the top. I’m glad we don’t have a moonstruck nearby — otherwise, I think I’d gain a hundred pounds.
