Mt. Scott Roller Rink

September update: Open Skate has ended for the summer and will resume Tuesday September 29, 3 – 5 pm. Rink rental is still available. MSCC will be closed for maintenance Sept 14 – 25.

I’m glad this rink is in my neighborhood. It seems as though not many people even know it exists. It’s a bit older and has a couple of wonky divots on one side of the rink, but has a nice open set up.
It has ample bench seating around half the rink with hooks for your jackets. There is a separate room for people to eat or drink as well as maybe hang out and watch their friends or family skate. This is also a room used for birthday parties. Their restrooms are always clean and am grateful for the drinking fountain.
I recently rented this space out for my sons Indoor Play Party at a reasonable price. They offered all the bikes and other fun play equipment. There is also Open Play Monday through Friday mornings for only a dollar, which is great on rainy days for your tots. *please keep an eye on your kids here.
My friend also rented it out for a roller skating party and now I come by on Saturdays for their Open Skate at noon.
The roller rink people that run the counter here really know their stuff and take their jobs seriously. Don’t mess with em. also, they do offer music and have a hook up for iPods as well. Maybe if you ask nicely they will put on your favorite station?
