The big teriyaki chik’in salad is where it’s at! This was super filling and very flavorful! I would definitely recommend trying this and all the other delicious bowls they offer as well. Bonus– they have cookies from Sift bakery too!

I found this only because I was in the neighborhood and was looking for some good food truck fare. This place didn’t disappoint! I had the teriyaki dish and it was very good and spicy… maybe a bit too much, but regardless, still good. If you go and don’t like spice, then just ask them to tone it down. Also located in a food cart courtyard with other various options… so take a wonder.

Got the big chik’n salad. Didn’t realize I was eating fake chicken until halfway through the salad. Colorful, flavorful, quality ingredients, and bigger portion than expected!

We LOVE this place. Awesome sized servings of delicious food. Their hours are a bit limited and sometimes unreliable, BUT that’s the benefit of being food cart owners and they’re worth calling ahead.

I would wait an hour in line every day for the burnside bowl! Luckily there is almost never a wait. Just a few minutes while they make it fresh just for you. All the bowls are awesome but I am pretty sure the burnside is one of the most popular. It has the perfect combination of fresh slaw, veggies, beyond chicken, rice and sauce. If your vegan, vegetarian or an omnivore you should absolutely add this food cart to your weekly lunch circuit!

Surprised at how big these bowls were! At 6’5220 lbs this left me stuffed! Had the buffalo.

Super good food, and friendly staff. Had a nice laugh with the guy who took my order. Then the food, holy freaking– Amazeballs! That meal was the awesome sauce, good filling portion as well. Feeling light and nimble on my feet ready to conquer the day.

First time stopping by here today, this little food cart area has lots of options for a hungry vegan who wants to try something a little more ‘fancy’. Well, I had heard good things about Native Bowl and they were right. MMMM! I got the Mississippi bowl, because I havent had bbq flavored anything in some time, and I wanted to stray from my typical vegan lunch. It was excellent! Portion, huge. Plenty for 1.5 or two meals, and with a can of coconut water my total was only $ 10. Perfect for lunch out. The dude running it is really nice and made some suggestions, I will certainly be back to try each bowl.

Great food made with a real passion. If you have never tried soy curls before you really need to order the Mississippi. Owners are super cool and friendly. Thanks NB

Normally I am not into all vegetarian option dining spots, but the taste bud exploding deliciousness that was packed into my massive Broadway Bowl made me rather pleased, satiated, and lusting for more(but not until hours later when I was hungry again). Quick service, super good price for the sheer quantity and quality of food you get. Eat me!

We liked all the bowl options and choose the Albina bowl. The rice was tasty and the peanut sauce was ok with a nice amount of heat. The roasted garlic was tasty. They use Beyond Meat faux chicken which has a denser texture and tastes a bit like hot dogs. They do give you lots of faux chicken, so if you like it it’s great.

I just realized I never updated this: Apparently the dude who was gross to me is actually the owner, and he found my facebook account and messaged me about this review and gave this total non-apology that was all about how he was SOOOONOTPREJUDICED. He also seemed to feel like him being the owner would make me feel better and not worse about Native Bowl somehow? He had some story about how it was a mistake, which might have been very convincing if I hadn’t actually been there when it happened? Then he was like«I guess I could give you a free bowl or something if that would make you feel better.» I told him to get lost and blocked his facebook account. Dude sucks.

The gravitational pull of this place was too much for me to resist. I had to come back for 2nds. I am always amazed at the amount of food stuffed into the large Chinese take out container. It’s like a fantastic salad on top of a delicious entrée. This place has the best vegetarian bowls. You must try it and see for yourself. Full of flavor and super filling I can never finish my order. I recommend the Albina.

Ordered the special — Albina bowl. Was a generous serving but had to eat through a mass amount of spinach before I could see the rice and soy chicken. Once I got to the chicken and rice, I found it very much on the salty side, especially with it drenched in so much sauce. Having said that, the other bowls look impressive so I would like to give it all another try and hopefully reevaluate it with a more positive review at some point. So watch this space I guess.

If you are a vegetarian or vegan this is one food cart that gives you flavor options. They offer a number of rice based bowls with different sauces, veggies, and meat alternative proteins. I couldn’t eat a whole bowl in one sitting and I’m a 185+ pound 6′ male. Come hungry!

So my last review wasn’t particularly laudable; they were closed during a time their Unilocal says they’re open. After I left my review, they sent me a message apologizing and gave me their true hours. They said that Google and Unilocal haven’t allowed them to change the hours listed, which is unfortunate. There needs to be a better system for that. But anyway! I finally made my way back over there today and got to try their delicious bowls. My husband and I got a Burnside bowl and a Broadway bowl. Both an amazing portion for the price. All of the ingredients were very fresh and light, yet hearty and the same time. The Burnside bowl had just the right amount of spice, and there was a good amount of the peanut sauce in the Broadway. All in all, I’m thankful that they reached out to me; that shows good business. And I am also thankful I went back! It was definitely worth it. Will return asap!

For food I would give them a 4, for attitude I would give them a one. Came here on a break from work with my boss and while waiting we checked our work email on our phones. The gentleman working thought he should exit the food truck, come over to us and ask if we ever had conversations in «real life» or if we were just always on our phones. Not only was that comment unwarranted and unappreciated it was also wrong. As a girl who does most of her talking with her hands and LOVES in-person conversation he really missed the mark with his snark!

Hawthorne bowl was so good. There were multiple level of goodness in the bowl with the veggies, garbanzo beans, tofu and curry adding depths of flavor. I will definitely come back to try the other bowls. The tofu was so flavorful and good that I was blown away. Maybe they marinate their tofu. The portion sizes are good too

This girl came up to me today and said she recognized me from this vegetarian cart the other day. I was confused because I never met herbivore. *crickets* If I’m not eating at Homegrown I’m here getting something more lighter to eat. I could really eat here every single day of the week because it’s just that damn good. I also love the tea they serve here and they give free refills of it too! Tip for Unilocal: GEAD

After yoga, my friends got Southern-fried unhealthiness, and I would have joined them had I not partook in my Southern friend’s Paula Deen-style, instantly diabetic viddles the night before. Broadway bowl was recommended to me by the owner – it was really good, especially the scallions and the miso-like, peanut-ginger-sesame sauce with garlic tofu. The only gripe I had for something so healthy, they bitterly charred the tofu – probably for another dimension of flavor. Mind you I am a hypocrite hypochondriac, but not sure if i enjoyed the dose of carcinogens in my body. That said, I’m a bit irrational and you should not listen to me. Enjoy this cart.
