I couldn’t be happier with the care that I received at Natures Cure. I immediately felt welcomed from the moment I walked through the door and saw a warm, smiling, front desk staff to check me in.
I had an appointment with Sarieah and she is a absolutely amazing! She is concerned about your whole well being and not just one specific area, and has a thoughtful naturopathic approach on how to help your body. She is detailed in her information, easy to talk to, genuine, and kind. I have recommended her to so many friends!

This place was literally a Godsend for me. I’ve been seeing Sarieah for 5 months after being diagnosed by my medical doctor with a chronic painful condition and felt pretty helpless at the start of this whole thing. Sarieah has taken an immense amount of time, care and consideration to address the root cause of my issues. She has not only provided significant relief to my pain through in office therapy but has also given me tools to be able to strengthen my body and alleviate my symptoms in between visits. This is what I was looking for — tools to fix the problems that I was having and not just medications/​supplements to mask my symptoms. This is the beauty and necessity of holistic and naturopathic care. Sareiah is a medical professional with a compassionate soul. I am so thankful for this place, and would recommend Sarieah and Nature Cures Clinic to anyone.

When I first scheduled with Sarieah, after reading wonderful reviews here, I thought I was simply coming in for an annual exam. I didn’t realize she could serve as my primary care provider as well. At my first appointment, because she takes such a thorough intake, it became clear to her that I had many unmet medical needs. She took the time to hear my history and the very complex nightmare of ongoing car accident recovery I’d been in for nearly two years, involving a severe nerve pain condition. It’s no exaggeration to say that I have never before been met with such compassion and presence from a medical provider. Since that first appointment, I’ve transferred the majority of my care to this clinic, including pain med management, and I see both Sarieah and Dr. Eckel. I can’t say enough about how much I appreciate their care. It’s made a world of difference to me, as I continue to work towards elusive full recovery. I always feel like their treatment is authentically tailored to my unique and individualized needs, rather than a response to the boxes I’ve been put in by other providers. Literally, everything I’ve ever hoped to find in a medical and/​or primary care provider, I have found at NCC. Skilled, knowledgeable, evidence-​based, holistic, individualized and compassionate treatment, provided in a collaborative format with the patient at the helm. I still can’t believe it’s so rare, but I’ll never stop being grateful that I’ve found it in Sarieah and Dr. Eckel.

I found this place on Unilocal and can’t speak highly enough of Sarieah! She is so respectful of you and really takes your questions and concerns to heart. I feel so comfortable and supported whenever I meet with her. She always meets you where you’re at and takes the time to explain clearly and answer all your questions. I couldn’t recommend her enough!

We moved from Texas to Portland, Oregon in March and I was nervous about finding a doctor since I didn’t know anyone here. My previous doctor recommended I look up doctors with a similar viewpoint to his through
and that is how I found Nature Cures Clinic.
I’ve established care with both Dr. Eckle and Sarieah Macdonald and they have been working together with me. Dr. Eckle has managed to reduce the number of migraines I get a month and I have been sleeping better than ever. Sarieah suggested I try the hormonal IUD due to a hunch that I might have endometriosis — it was the best and easiest experience ever (I’ve had two other IUDs from two different doctors that were nightmarish).
They both listen to you and really care about helping you become the healthiest, happiest version of yourself! I highly recommend them both!

I have been a patient at this clinic for about a year. Great people, friendly staff. Doctors are knowledgable and supportive. They take insurance which was a key factor in my being a patient here! Cancer and nutrional support. Vitamins and herbal supplements available on sight as well as a very good liver cleanse program that I highly recommend.

I have seen several practitioners at Nature Cures Clinic over the last three years. I have had nothing but positive experiences and would recommend this clinic to any friend.
However, currently I am a regular patient of Sarieah Macdonald at Nature Cures Clinic and I absolutely cannot say enough about her.
During my first visit Sarieah was able to not only correctly diagnose and treat and issue that had been misdiagnosed by other providers (NOT at Nature Cures Clinic, but elsewhere) for months, but she was also able to create a sense of trust and comfort that I have not felt with a medical professional in years… possibly ever.
Sarieah has treated me as a whole person instead of a collection of symptoms. She has taken the time to get to know me, my medical history, and the «bigger picture» of what my life looks like and how it affects my health. She has created a safe space for me to talk about any and every aspect of my life that is influencing my ability to be well physically, mentally, and emotionally.
I have not experienced that sort of patience, dedication, or compassion from a medical provider ever before.
She is medically knowledgeable, emotionally supportive, patient-​centered, affirming of healthy body image and sex positive ideologies, and ultimately extremely effective as a care provider.
Seriously, she is a strong, confident, capable, helpful, supportive, authentic, empowering, and compassionate practitioner. She is successfully treating some tricky medical issues of mine while also becoming a woman I very much look up to and am so very grateful to know. Who could ask for anything more?

Wonderful, wonderful. I’m a special case — nearly everything was wrong by the time I went to see Dr. Eckel. I was told by previous doctors that I would need two separate surgeries (sinuses and back) to begin to address what was going on. That seemed extreme and sounded overly drastic, so I took a friend’s referral and went to Nature Cures.
It wasn’t a quick, «Here take a pill…» mask-​the-​syptoms pseudo fix. Both Dr. Eckel and I, with the help of Maria and others at Nature Cures, have worked ceaselessly to improve my health and quality of life, and, we discovered I was allergic to about half of the foods I had been eating! My quality of life has improved immensely and I no longer live day to day in chronic pain and illness. Best is, we achieved it all without surgery or prolonged pharmaceutical use. I’ve recommended Nature Cures to many and will continue to.

I came upon these guys through a meet and greet Maria, the nutritionist was holding one day. Long story short, I signed up for their program and it has been doing amazing things for me. I have a huge increase in energy and motivation, my stress levels are way down, and I dont have stomach issues all the time now. The best thing that has come out of having this amazing team on my side is that I was able to get my spouse on the health train with me! More than I could have ever hoped for! I went here after a recommendation from my a family member. I just found out I had cancer, so I saw the cancer specialist they have there. They gave me lots of good information, and although of course it clashed with the tips/​feedback I got from the Western Medicine world, I took in everything they recommended and was very please. I started a cleanse that was supposed to be good for pre-​surgery, and it literally shrunk tumor several centimeters and my oncologist was impressed! Great clinic, loved the place, unfortunately my insurance didn’t cover them, so I had to pay out-​of-​pocket :-(. Other than that, I highly recommend this place. The Nutritional Therapist, Maria was a big help as well! I would definately still be going here if only my insurance was accepted (Health Smart).

So far, so good. It was my husband’s first visit today with Dr. Swanson. And I had a brief consultation with him as well. Due to a prior negative experience with a Naturopath, I was a bit weary to give it another go. But, I must say that I was pleased with the approach and information thus far.

Dr Andy Swanson of Nature Cures Clinic is a very gentle, and gifted acupuncturist. He has an extensive background in several different health modalities. But his current practice is acupuncture. If you need assistance with pain relief, or allergies Dr Andy can gently help you.

I went in to see Dr. Andy Swanson at Nature Cure’s Clinic in downtown Portland recently. He took the time to get to know me, asked plenty of questions and determined what I needed easily. Dr. Swanson was easy to talk with, understanding and explained each step of the acupuncture process. After the treatment I was relaxed, rejuvenated and ready to take on the rest of my day. Nature Cures Clinic saved my tonsils!
My right tonsil was so big I could barely swallow and I choked on it when I slept. I started out with the medical drugs, but that just got my tonsil back under control so I could eat and sleep. As soon as I stopped 10 days of Antibiotics I could feel my tonsils swelling again with a light fever. I immediately jumped on Dr Eckel’s recommendations and 3 weeks later I felt back to normal. I have a couple of MDs in my family that recommended removing my tonsils and I was so happy to keep them and know that I have a full lymph system still. I love holistic approach to medicine versus symptom management.

Hey Boys and Girls want to know where I go to get my Chi realigned… why it’s nature cures clinic. I have been going to this clinic for over four years and have had no complaints. I actually have not been going as much as i used to because quite frankly after working with Dr Nigh for the last four years I went from getting a cold every two weeks or so to about one a year. I am a big fan of acupuncture but if you shy away from the needles they have a whole arsenal to combat what ails you. I have recommended several of my friends and they turned around and recommended folks in there family who had some chronic issues that western medicine just wasn’t cutting with. The clinic is fairly accessible, though the building has pretty ancient elevators with high buttons. The Dr. are very accommodating to folks of all abilities. If you are into natural medicine or are open to giving it a try I highly recommend this clinic especially if you work or live downtown… so convenient!

You will never find better practitioners than those at Nature Cures. They take a systematic approach to diagnosing your issue (s), and they truly work to get those issues out of your life! I’ve never had anyone in the medical world work so hard to have me not see them anymore! And, I’ve never had another health experience that actually solved my problems, but these guys did actually solve my problems. I have received care for back problems, an injury, and food allergies, and I now live a fairly healthy, happy existence– thanks to Dr. s Russ, Nigh & Eckel!

I went here to see Dr. Gregg Eckel for an accupuncture appt. Because I have had chronic back pain for years. I had a little pain that day he was able to make it stop hurting while on the table! He takes a full history and customizes a plan completely to your needs. It’s great.
He also does more than just acupuncture: naturopathic, vitamin pushes, etc.
I deffinitley suggest seeing him if your in pain.
