These sculptures in old town are controversial with arrests. Put in as part of an effort to revitalize the area there are several around the area.
They look best when lit at night. They are powered by solar cells on their tops. They often don’t seem to be lit at night, but look interesting when they are.

The Nepenthes set of four vases is an intriguing part of Oldtown. Their colors tend to look like the kinds you would see on hip purses. They are spread across different blocks, adding to the artistic nature of the area.
It is often nice to see them. I had planned on gathering pictures of all four, but catching the light rail was once a higher priority for me. They feel trendy, like ann inner east thrift shop.
