Rude. Uncommunicative. Slow. Ordered and paid with credit card. I waited over 15 minutes while other customers walked up and picked up their orders. Never thanked me or said a word.

This place was pretty good, but more expensive for a food truck. I got the chicken tikka masala, very standard, first dish I like to try, and it was good. But it cost $ 7.50 and probably was enough for one and a half meals for me. Decent amount of chicken and the sauce was very tasty. I asked for spicy — and it was just what I expected. Good fast service also.

**This review is for the 5th Ave location** I’ve eaten here probably 20 times over the last few years. I usually get one of the two daily specials they offer, either vegetarian or meat. Both come with lots of rice and a big hunk of naan bread. I’ve also ordered single items off the menu but it takes much longer(15 mins +) so I don’t do that very often given my limited lunch break.
The specials are pre-made and set in warmers so services ultra fast. The basically plop some rice in the container and spoon on two or three mounds of whatever dish(s) you ordered, toss the container and a foil wrapped naan in a bag and you’re off. For $ 6 you get loads of food, easily enough for two days or two people. It feels a little like eating at a cafeteria but the food is tasty. The bottom line: Service: *** Food: *** Price: **** 3.3 stars round to 3.

If you’ve ready my previous reviews, you’ll know I’m a fan of Gandhi’s — a little Indian place not far from New Taste of India. In fact, Gandhi’s is closer to where I work, and generally my go-to place for an Indian lunch. That said, I heard about New Taste’s lunch special and, more importantly, their naan. Gandhi’s lacks 1 thing, and that’s naan. So I grabbed $ 6 and headed over to New Taste. The lunch special is quite popular here. As such, they have the various pieces of the special ready to go. This means you get your food in about a minute, maybe less. For the $ 6 meat lunch special, you get 2 meats, 1 veggie side, rice, and a huge piece of naan bread. And it’s good food. I can’t say that I like it better than Gandhi’s, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad either. I’d definitely go again for the lunch special. Also, did I mention the naan?

Good food but exactly the same as any really good Indian restaurant you’d find anywhere. Not sure what is the unique attribute of this food truck. Or maybe it’s just doing well because people love Indian food. Good prices. Overall, yummy but nothing to write home about.

A quick lunch option in a pinch, but their portions are smaller than other nearby Indian carts. Also most dishes tend to be on the sweet side, which isn’t really my thing. Their naan, however, is fantastic.

Another Indian cart with huge lunch specials and«Taste of India» in the title of their business. For $ 6 you get a heaping mound of either a meat or veggie lunch. I would describe the naan as very pancake-like in flavor. Great deal. I think their dishes are a little sweeter in general compared to other Indian carts. Very quick service, too.
