The Vegan Phở was ridiculously good and certainly the best I’ve ever had. Wonderfully complex broth with a variety of tasty ingredients — I found I didn’t even need to add any Hoisin sauce. They used thicker round rice noodles instead of the traditional flat, but they were light and plentiful. They are a little off the beaten path and next door to a gas station, but totally worth it. The service was very friendly and they even serve you jasmine tea at no charge! I was saddened to hear from the owner that many people from the area walk in, discover there is no meat and walk out. What a shame! They are missing out on a real treat. Make the trip out there and support these guys — you will not regret it.

Hands down the best Vegan Phở I’ve had in my life. Service is wonderful, and the other options on the menu are plentiful and delicious. Get there early, they close sooner than you think and the food tends to be better earlier in the day. It looks like hell from the outside, however it’s what inside your belly that matters the most. And plus, maybe you’ll get some gas when you’re done eating.

Darn good food and nice people, though the language barrier was a slight problem. Most of the food was too spicy for the kid, but she liked the fried tofu and rice so all was good. Hopefully they’ll find a better location — the gas station is a bit odd.

If I had not recently made the switch to veganism, I would have never been caught dead at this joint. It shares a lot with a gas station for pete’s sake! But what a shame it would have been if i never gave this place a shot. regardless of what you choose to subsist on, this place is exceptional. I recommend the potato spring rolls. They are the perfect samosa and salad roll hybrid. They nearly brought a tear to my eye, but it could have been the spicy ginger dipping sauce. My flat noodles were crispy on one side and creamy, sweet and soft on the other. The vegetables were crisp, fresh and aromatic. Everyone in my party was thoroughly impressed. Aaaand I’m drooling on the keyboard. See ya there.

I’ve been to this place three times, and despite the horrible location and sometimes slow service, I love it. Don’t expect great atmosphere, but do expect delicious food.

I stopped by Nhut Quang on the way to the airport. Ate some vegan phở while waiting for my group’s takeout– it was wonderful! Definitely a lighter flavor than some of the vegan beef-like phos I’ve had before, but still very clean, fresh, and tasty. Enjoyed the dragon fruit drink with pulp, too. We got three items«to go,» but when we got on the plane, we realized we were missing one of our three entrees. I think we ended up with the curry«chicken,» which was like a light yuba skin wrapped into balls, and the bbq«pork.» Both were excellent, but I still wonder were my missing dish went. Funny enough, a guy waiting for take-out before us also«left» a dish there. So if you go, verify that you are picking up everything you actually ordered.

Have you ever walked into a phở joint and asked them if they had any vegan dishes? It’s a good way to get a laugh. This vegan Vietnamese restaurant shares a space with a gas station on NE82nd(it’s diagonally across from Popeye’s). Despite the unfortunate location, the food is really good. There are a ton of unique flavors available on the extensive menu. The owner is friendly, and very excited about the food. He and his family run the place and have done a great job translating a large number of meaty favorites to vegan. They use interesting ingredients like crispy lotus stalks and others that I cannot really identify to create amazing textures and flavors, recreating phở and a variety of noodle dishes. The dining area is pretty plain, so it’s not an ambiance establishment. It’s a place to go for really good, healthy, and interesting vegan food. Also, they have a lot of premade foods. Try the Bao from behind the case, or the sticky rice. Disclaimer: I am not vegan but I don’t care.
