Tried out Ninja Grill for some food to go for dinner. They are located in a part of the SE82nd and Foster Fred Meyer complex I was shopping at, so it was super convenient. I ordered a teriyaki chicken and chicken katsu combo which included steamed rice and my choice of either a salad or steamed vegetables. I asked the lady at the front counter what the steamed vegetables consisted of. I mentioned that I hoped it had plenty of broccoli(a super food!) and not just mostly limp cabbage. She said their veggies were a good blend of fresh broccoli, carrots, and cabbage.. .so I chose that. OK, the meat for both the teriyaki chicken and the katsu was tender and tasty, although the breading on the katsu was just slightly too crispy(katsu was probably fried a bit too long.. .not a big deal). I liked the taste and the thick consistency of both the teriyaki and katsu sauces. The sauces stuck to the meat and weren’t thin and watery. The steamed vegetables were a good blend of broccoli, carrots, and cabbage, just like the lady said. Overall, everything was flavorful and of good quality, but a little bit more chicken for the $ 8.95 price would have been nice.

Yea, shoulda listened to the reviews. Got the katsu and it was hard?! Lol I’ve been to some hole in the wall L and L Hawaiin bbq’s and they made better chicken katsu by far. The place sucks

First visit to this establishment, not impressed. $ 7.95 for beef teriyaki plate that included small portions of mostly bland beef teriyaki, plain white rice and cabbage & shredded carrots warm vegetables. Nothing worth returning back here, especially with the prices. Drab atmosphere with very little décor. I had to add a lot of teriyaki sauce to give the food any taste.

Inexpensive but a little bland. I’ve been there twice and ordered the yabisoka. It’s a bit soggy also.

Everything made in house. I had the Spicy Chicken which came on a bed of rice & with a side salad for $ 7. Pretty good deal & even better food. The spicy sauce was actually spicy with a hint of sweet, mmmm. Definitely give it a try. Will stop back. One star knocked off for closing at 8 everyday. That’s pretty early if you have a late work night.

Made a quick stop here between errands looking for something small and quick to hold me over until dinner. The place was empty which worried me a little but the fact that it was clean is a good start in my book. The lady at the counter was really friendly and helpful. I scanned the menu on the wall and thought veggie rolls would be a good choice but I wanted to try the ninja tacos. The only choice on the menu was a 3 taco meal so I asked for only 1 with no sides. She happily complied and answered a few of my questions about the Asian fusion offerings. The food came out quick and the taco was filled so full that I started eating it with a fork before I could pick it up. Not a deal breaker for me because I felt like I got $ 2.25 worth of product. Nothing special about the chicken or tortillas. They were fine but no wow factor involved. The purple ninja slaw was crisp, fresh and had a kick! Definitely the star of the taco. All in all an ok experience. I’d certainly stop in if in the area but probably wouldn’t go out of the way for what I had.

Rice tasted undercooked/old and left over. Chicken was ok. Sorry, but I’ll probably not return based upon this experience. Service at the counter was excellent, however.

I want to say sorry. but it did not work out for us. when i get in restaurant I like to see a good cozy atmosphere but most important it must be clean, so when I got in the floor was dirty and sticky it just felt grouse. then the tables where not so clean. The cashier guy was nice and friendly. The food came out so fast I was not expecting it, so they must have just reheated the chicken because chicken cooks longer, the salad was soft and warm not so good we just had few bites and could not finish the food. we will not be coming back. please hire a good cleaning person.

I had high expectations after reading the reviews and that didn’t help. The food was fine although nothing particularly spectacular. I had the beef, chicken + 2 potstickers. The taste was good, the texture was a little lacking– I like my chicken grilled until there are some crispy parts. I was disappointed that they don’t have picked ginger to go with this, it’s a pretty standard offering in the area. The service was quick and the place is fairly industrial — not uncomfortable but nothing special. It wasn’t a bad experience but not one I’ll repeat any time soon.

So, first I couldn’t find the place. My GPS took me to Arby’s. It’s actually directly across from Standard TV in the Fred Meyer complex. I had called Ninja Grill to find this out and they were really helpful at giving location information. I then walked in and exclaimed that I had an expired Groupon I’d like to use. This was returned with«We have a new owner and we’re not accepting Groupons anymore». Well, that’s annoying. He mentioned calling Groupon to get my money back, which I’m sure Groupon will do, as they’re usually pretty good about that stuff. Since I spent all the effort finding the place I decided on the lunch special to-go. There was a nice big sign explaining that the lunch special was teriyaki chicken and gyoza, which sounded good. I literally only waited two or three minutes before my food was ready. It makes me a little nervous when food is ready so quickly. Took it back to my car and realized there was only teriyaki chicken and no gyoza. I went back in to clarify. Apparently I had ordered the other lunch special, located on a sign below and to the left of the lunch special I thought I was ordering. Fine, fine, whatever. I left. The food was decently good. Nothing fabulous, but good. It came with a salad which was pretty small and only consisted of romaine lettuce and some dressing. It would be nice to have more clarity between the two lunch special signs, or have the employee clarify with the customer before ringing them up, so there isn’t disappointment in the end. Also, it’s kinda cold in there. Upping the heat would really make the ambiance a lot nicer. In the end, it was fine to try out once, but I don’t plan on coming back.

It drives me crazy when a new owner doesn’t except offers that were provided for the restaurant. We had a groupon and as we ordered they said they wouldn’t honor the groupon and we weren’t happy but ordered food anyway. Of course the minute the girl finishes our order she goes back with the cook and in our minds probably spits in the food. Other than that a bit dirty of a place. The beef curry was good and a large size for the price. The ramen was standard and fairly bland but a big bowl none the less. We’ll never go back after being dissed by them!

This place was decent. The biggest thing for me with teriyaki places is the gross fatty chicken. Ninja grill had fresh tasting salad and delicious chicken, not fatty, perfectly seasoned and charred. The salad dressing was delicious! Big portions, cheap prices, friendly service. Is it the best teriyaki I’ve had? Nah, but it gets the Job done.

Dad and I are here from out of town. We were hungry for lunch around 2:00, driving south on 82nd, and had under an hour to get to a nearby appointment. I saw the sign that said«Ninja Grill» and I thought they might be a good choice. They sure were! We explained to the young man behind the counter that we hadn’t eaten there before and didn’t have much time. He recommended the special, which today was chicken teriyaki with rice & veggies. We ordered that for Dad and then the Yakisoba noodles with shrimp for me. I went to fill the drink cup and had barely set it down on the table when the first plate(chicken teriyaki) arrived. Holy fast food! And the noodles, which he said would«take a bit longer» came out of the window as he was returning to the counter from delivering the first plate. We were bowled over! We enjoyed both generous plates of food. The chicken teryaki was nicely grilled and sliced, we loved the sauce, rice & veggies were hot. The noodles were really tasty, they had almost a sweet flavor to them. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is adding the shrimp. We got 4 or 5 little shrimp on top. Not worth the extra buck thirty. If I’m in the area again, I’d definitely consider stopping here. Friendly, fast, and filling. Can’t ask for much more.

Got the teriyaki chicken, small portion when looking at it and it made my stomach hurt. I really want to like this place, so I’ll eventually go back I think, so I hope I can eventually up the stars maybe.

Cute name? Check. Grilled meat + rice? My favorite. The beau and I went here last week for the first time after finding out about them on Groupon. Right now I think they still have the deal for both take out and dine in which isn’t bad. Their drinks are unlimited refills for only $ 1.50 if I remember correctly. The meal was decent — I felt it was a good value meal. I got the spicy chicken which actually just tastes like grilled chicken. Poured some teriyaki sauce on it and created teriyaki chicken :) Not very spicy at all if you ask me which was disappointing. Both of us also got the ribs which were also just ok — lots of Asian fusion places out there have higher quality ribs but for the price that you can get them for at Ninja Grill, it’s nothing to complain about. The beau also got spicy pork which is made Korean style and very flavorful! I highly recommend the spicy pork because it’s nothing like I’ve ever tasted(in a good way!) :) They forgot our order or gyoza but the people working at Ninja Grill were so sweet we happily waited for it to come out. Also another cheap eat here but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re into gyozas like us. It lacked flavor and didn’t have the right crunch… In summary, if you’re in the area(or shopping at Fred Meyer) and want a cheap eat check out Ninja Grill! Ta ta for now!
