Nw Tree Work

John and his crew did a great job on my large Cedar tree. We talked in depth about what I needed done and John also provided additional insight into the condition of the tree and some potential issues. His crew arrived on time. They were friendly and made sure I was satisfied with the work before wrapping it up. They raked and used a blower to tidy up the area they had worked in as well as the rooftop and gutter area below where the tree had also been pruned. I was good with quote John gave me. Since I didn’t get other bids and I haven’t had similar work done I didn’t have anything to compare it to but I believe he gave me the best price possible, even adjusting it a little more by setting my appointment up on the same day as a job nearby. The only knock I have, hence the one star ding, is that they may be a victim of their own success. I sent an email requesting an appointment for a quote and hadn’t heard back for almost a week when I decided to try him by phone. He was very apologetic, told me they were running behind and was just about to get back to me. He was super nice so we set up a time. Unfortunately the same was true for the follow up email where I was supposed to sign off on agreement to do the work. I called him again because the work was supposed to be done 2 days or so from that date and I wanted to get it locked in. I got the email shortly thereafter and we were a go. I was determined to use John’s services because of the positive reviews and because I try to support local businesses as much as possible, so I took the extra time to connect with John. Someone else may not be so determined and move on to another company. I would hate to see NW Tree Work lose business because of something like that.

Owner John is a knowledgeable, certified arborist who readily provided us an assessment and bid of our 11 cedar trees that have never been trimmed in the 20 years we have owned our home. We also had a dead cherry tree that needed to come down.
My husband and I were more than satisfied with the tree service John and his crew provided. They also offered to make us a log bench with part of the downed cherry tree… a very cool bonus! We definitely would hire NW Tree Work again.

They did a good job for very reasonable amount on a smallish task I just didn’t have the strength to tackle. Very nice.

Professional, on-​time, competitively priced, excellent work results. Would absolutely hire again.

A no show the first time. Three messages left without a call back. Today, another no show. Really?
