Over the last three years I have ordered various arrangements from OTF. I should have written a positive review for them numerous times over in the past praising them for what I’ve become accustomed to receiving from OTF:
— a welcoming environment in their beautiful shop
— a feeling that they are happy to have my business and fulfill my orders
— beautiful arrangements provided at reasonable prices
Case in point. I recently received 24 hr notice that a friend was getting married in a very low key affair. After trying to come up with ideas overnight on what to do for him and his bride, I came up with the idea to decorate the rear of their car in a tasteful «Just Married» theme. I called OTF at 8:30am and asked if they could make a garland by 11am. With consideration but without hesitation, they answered «yes».
Chuck, OTF’s garland specialist, made the most beautiful but simple, greens garland with small flower accents. They had it ready on time as promised at a beyond reasonable price for the demand. Added bonus, I could see how proud Chuck was of his work.
«Old Portland» is about having loyalty to «so and so» for this and «so and so» for that. «Old Portland» is about having loyalty to those who care about their craft and provide excellent service to you. It’s an endearing thing about Portland.
I highly recommend Old Town Florist for your floral needs no matter how big or small. You will have a go-​to florist who will happily take care of you time and time again.

I ordered a bouquet for my mom for mother’s day, to be delivered to my place as she was coming for a visit that weekend. Within minutes of placing my online order, I received a call to verify that I did indeed want my flowers to come to my place. I was very impressed by the attention to detail in the order, as well as the prompt attempt to verify the information that I had input.
On top of that, the flowers themselves were absolutely gorgeous — fresh, of great quality, and beautiful scents — and came wonderfully arranged. My mom loved them, and told me me two weeks later that most of the blossoms were still going strong! Overall I was incredibly pleased with the quality and level of service and I will definitely be using this as my go-​to flower place. Thank you!

Darling space and great things to grab and go. I purchased a lovely succulent arrangement for a friend. They also have beautiful orchids prearranged. Mariah, the young lady who assisted me was charming and helpful. I haven’t ordered a custom arrangement yet but wouldn’t hesitate based on all of the beautiful flowers that I saw.

I wish I could say they know what they’re doing but we’ve ordered from them 3 times now. The first time was perfection. The second? Pure crap. The roses died the 2^nd day. I’ll give them credit, they did replace them, but not in any arrangement. This time the 2 dozen long-​stemmed red roses are in a plastic vase! Plastic? And it’s much more narrow at the base so it’s so top heavy I have to lean it against a wall! The other flowers and bits of shrubbery in there are placed so haphazardly I think a blind gorilla could’ve done better. One of them is broken and bent over. Nice touch that. The roses themselves are various lengths but are placed with the shorter ones in the middle! ?? This makes no sense. I’ll post a pic soon, if the owner doesn’t make it right. But BUYER BEWARE. These guys were great a couple of years ago. Now they’re just crap. These look like a grocery store arrangement. Only in the grocery store I’d get a glass vase and the flowers would be arranged sensibly. Maybe not creatively but neither are these.
UPDATE: They came by and exchanged the arrangement for a more thoughtful one. I appreciate the effort. Kudos to them!

I called these folks a little late on the morning of the day we needed our flowers delivered. My bad, I’d forgotten to set it up the day before. We live out of town and needed something sent to our birthday girl on her special day. These guys really came through! My cell dropped the call 3x during my order, but the gal on the other end of the phone just patiently hung in there while we got it together.
They then created a gorgeous bouquet of roses, tulips and hydrangea — in terms of flower value for the dollar AND in terms of how pretty it was, it totally surpassed my expectations when I saw the picture — and had it in my daughter’s hands by late mid-​day.
Beautiful flowers = 1 happy birthday girl and 1 happy mama.
I will be calling this florist anytime we need flowers delivered in the Portland OR area. Thanks, Old Town Florist!

Everyone at one time or another needs to buy some flowers. Now you can go the FTD route if you choose, but I prefer not to. I’ve used them several times, and they have never let me down. If you need to send flowers to someone in the Portland area I recommend these guys hands down.

One of the most beautiful bouquets I have ever seen has been from this florist. They delivered to the Hilton Hotel and had it waiting in our room when we arrived. I feel like they lasted for about a month in decent shape. If you are in Portland, and need flowers GO HERE ASAP!

I was referred to this store by one of my mother’s friends who uses their services regularly. I needed to cheer up a girlfriend of mine on Valentine’s day, cause she was down with a bad head/​chest cold and could not go out with the me to celebrate. Then after I also read all the positive reviews here I knew I was making a good choice, and it turned out to be a great choice.
I asked them for advise on what would be the ideal gift to make a sad girlfriend feel better, and I chose a cheerful flower bouquet and a box of chocolates to be delivered to her, as a surprise. It was a fast and prompt service.
She was having a pretty depressing day and was feeling blue, but when she called me after receiving the flowers package, she was smiling, her sense of humor was back, her mood had brightened up by the beautiful bouquet and I think also by the comfort of the delicious chocolates:-), she was her old self again.
So, even if it was a little pricey, it was worth it if that is what it takes to bring a bit of simple joy to someone you care! I will order from this store again!

TOTAL LIFESAVER. After calling 10 other Portland florists on Valentine’s Day and hearing «no», the kind folks at Old Town Florist were able to deliver a beautiful bouquet to my mom same day. The arrangement was perfect and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and prompt. Thank you!

Girlfriend was having a bad day and I wanted to send her flowers at work. I called Old Town Florist at 1030am, told them what I wanted (e.g. bouquet to brighten her day… no carnations), and they were delivered by 1pm. Not only were the flowers affordable, they were absolutely beautiful. She kept the flowers at work all week and received constant compliments from coworkers. I’m not a guy who knows which flowers look good and which flowers look bad, but I trust Old Town Florist 100% to make these choices for me. I know they will always deliver a bouquet she’ll love at a price I can afford. They are truly amazing.

Whenever I need flowers or a gift delivered, Old Town Florist is my choice. Being a native of Portland, I have used various florists but ever since finding OTF I find them to be the best. Beautiful arrangements, courteous customer service, reliable deliveries. All good.

Great flowers, but lousy service follow through. I had a service agreement with the owner that they failed to honor.

What a great experience! I ordered an arrangement for my wife to be delivered on Valentine’s Day, and requested that they deliver the flowers by 4PM. Well, the night before V-​Day, I remembered that my wife was going to get off work at noon that day! In a panic, I called them right when they opened at 8AM, explained the situation and asked if there was ANY way they could deliver them before noon. The helpful gentleman on the phone said they would dig through their 100+ arrangements, and call me back when they found it. Sure enough, a few minutes later he called and said they were going to deliver them to her immediately!
Shortly thereafter, I received a call from a VERY happy wife. Old Town Florist truly went above and beyond, and I will DEFINITELY call them in the future, and recommend them to all of my friends. Support a local company rather than the big boys, and give them a call!

I received a bouquet which I didn’t especially like — and I didn’t know what to do about it. In dismay, I sent a message on the website to express it, and the owner replied in a matter of hours, and offered to have it replaced, with the ones I like. I think they go out of their way for customer satifaction and provide good service, which I really appreciate. Thank you so much, the replacement looks wonderful and include everything I wanted!

I can go on and on about how exceptional this florist is, but putting it quite simply, this is by for the best florist with the best customer service I have experienced in a long long time. Wendy, the owner, goes above and beyond in the customer serve department. I will tell all my friends and colleagues and everyone else who will listen to use this this business for their floral needs. Amazing, personal customer service. I hear that’s a tall order in the floral game. These guys nailed it.
So my main squeeze knows I like a little attention on Valentine’s Day – and has turned to these folks in the past because they are local and close to my work.
This year at the Valentine’s Day Rodeo I got another bouquet from Old Town, but (mostly because I’m part moron) I emailed the business to question how to perk up my buds as they were looking a little less than perfect.
Instead of calling me out on my idiocracy, instead of telling me to just wait for the magic, instead of telling me special old wives tales of revitalizing flowers – they promptly called me and informed me that my «happiness was a priority,» and delivered another bouquet ON VALENTINE’S DAY. On the busiest day of the year for florists. I said they could wait if they needed to, and I understood – but they refused. They wanted me to have a bomb bouquet for V Day. With the second bouquet came fancy fancy chocolate and a personal guarantee from the owner.
What to the What now? Who does that? I was blown away.
