This is an amazing space. It was an old commercial grain mill back in the early 1900’s, but now it has some amazing cool spaces and businesses within these seven stories. I am sort of keen on this building because they gave me excellent opportunity to launch my private personal training business here. There are a ton of other excellent businesses here, especially on the first floor. Come check out the building, it won’t disappoint.

OMMC’s sunny orange exterior makes for an attractive landmark while it’s high ceilings, ample light and clean modern-industrial interior make it appealing for businesses of all types — from restaurants & retail to engineering & advertising agencies.

What first impressed me is meeting with Will Elliot and having him review the terms of the lease. The space is great even if my office is part of the unique building character which the floor has a slight slope. Great property and EVERY person that has visited my office loves the building! Looking forward meeting all my neighbors.

The inner Eastside is quickly evolving into to a hub for Portland’s future workforce with some very dynamic spaces carved out of the warehouse shells of a bygone era. Nothing so dramatic as the Wieden & Kennedy building in NW but pretty darn close(minus the money and spark from Allied Works and an enlightened client.) The Olympic Mills Commerce Center is a project I read about on Brian Libby’s blog a while back. I had been meaning to check this place out but really didn’t have a legit reason till the charcuterie Olympic Provisions popped up on my radar recently. The building is business oriented so hours are more M-F than weekends but we only had Sunday to check it out so things were not in full swing. The amazing atrium central space is visible from both the North and South entries and is clearly a big reason this space is so successful. There were a lot of other nice touches made by leaving industrial artifacts intact and visible that informed some of the past life of this space. Portland is really growing up with these Eastside projects including Leftbank, RiverEast Center, and Eastbank. The beauty, strength and dare I say it sustainability embodied in these rebirths are creating some real tremendous spaces throughout the city.

This really is the quintessential industrial-style building. Clean, gorgeous, with an abundance of light and exposed beams, it’s no wonder why artists love it here. The building’s divided into distinct quadrants, each one with its own personality, and lots of space. Cement floors and wooden fence-like walls… it’s…perfect. And rumor has it, there’s a pretty awesome view from the top, which is even better with a PBR.
