OnPoint Community Credit Union

I liked the idea of community bank but leaving them to go back to Chase. Their service is subpar and unprofessional. They did not properly set up my checking account so my payment to a credit company got returned. They admitted the error and credited my account for returned check fee, but refused to cover the interest fee caused by their error. They told me Chase should cover the fee, even though it’s not their fault. I think that is an unfair suggestion and irresponsible on their part.
Suggest you take your money to a bank that will actually service you.

Don’t be fooled by this «community» credit union. Over 10 years at OnPoint and it has steadily gotten worse. I tried to cancel my account last May after some mysterious «fees» got charged. The lady pleaded with me to keep my account and so I begrudgingly remained. Again, several months later, same sort of issue but somehow the fees balloon to $ 270. Of course, I go in to get some sort of explanation or some sort of assistance in reducing it so I can open my business account so that I can give tens of thousands of dollars to this bank and they just refuse to do anything. I’d say perhaps my experience was novel but there were literally two other people just before me in line with the exact same issues — one girl was complaining that she was going to lose her job as a result. I have no idea what the circumstances were but I have no doubt that somehow this bank was to blame. Seriously, run, run far away from this place. Unless you vote for Trump. In which case, this is the bank for you.
