OnPoint Community Credit Union

I have been an OnPoint member for 12 years. Earlier this December, the Sellwood OnPoint ATM failed to return a large sum of cash that I was attempting to deposit. After spending approximately a month following Onpoint protocol to recover my lost funds, I began losing hope in this institution. However, yesterday, I set a meeting with Denise, the branch manager, at the Sellwood OnPoint. She listened and investigated my claim thoroughly and quickly. She even went so far as to drive to my wife’s office to obtain a signature she needed to process the claim. Within 5 hours Denise called me back to let me know that the cash would be deposited into my account. Employees like Denise are rare. Her professionalism and friendly customer service are just two reasons why I will continue to bank at OnPoint… and to tell others to bank there, as well.

Friendliest bank/​CU I’ve ever been to… EVER. Really. OnPoint in Sellwood is one of those places worth visiting just for the experience. I transitioned over from a corporate bank and another CU, and couldn’t be happier!

After 12 years of the Big Corporate Bank grind we finally closed all of our accounts at Bank of America and moved to OnPoint CCU this year. The fees at BofA kept getting worse and worse, and with multiple accounts (personal and business) we’d had more than enough of their BS and their lack of personal service.
The Sellwood branch of OP is the closest to home and these folks are super nice. Not only courteous, they are professional without being sugary or scripted. Nobody tried to upsale us on anything and that alone was such a refreshing experience from most businesses these days. The change-​over process was pretty much painless, FREE EVERYTHING to start up, NO FEES for checking, savings or business checking. Free checks for start up for both personal and business use.
These folks are just as nice on the phone as they are in person. Helpful, friendly, polite and professional but personal. You are not a number at OnPoint, thank goodness.
Not related to this branch but just FYI, the OP online banking service is also FREE, and works great. Nice, clean website, plenty of info on every service you could need, and FREE mobile deposit service. Love it.
*Good location, ATM out back and plenty of free parking, close to transit.
*Great staff — both in person and over the phone.
*Did I mention… NO FEES?

I’ve had nothing but great customer service from this bank and branch. They are in such a convenient location in between my home and work, and inside is really nice too! Sometimes I wish I could just go here and hang out. I’ve lost my debt card like 4 times because I’m an idiot, and every time they promptly replace it with no questions asked. Love it.

Keeps getting better! I’ve been to every location of OnPoint in the Portland Metro area. This one is really outstanding. You’ll feel all VIP from the second you open the door. I recently had an, um… issue with my debit card (read: I’m a moron and left it in an ATM, someone snatched it up before the machine sucked it back in), and not only did they do a full fraud check right then and there (with dedicated counselors for that, even), but I was outta there with a new card with a quickness, everything taken care of.
Gone are the days of waiting for a new card in the mail and waiting for a new PIN.
Mo’ $, but not mo’ problems.

What can I say? It’s a credit union with a convenient ATM in a convenient place.
