Pretentious downtown Portland wine bar? NOTHERE! :). Excited staff and fun«regulars» @ bar. Bountiful selection of Oregon wines. Knowledgable. I always make a point to stop through on my treks through Portland.

Awesome wine bar. Great selection, amazing cheese, fun ambiance and personable service. For anyone reading this review, know that any bad reviews about Oregon Wines On Broadway is subjective, bias and frankly bad opinions.

Great service and great wines for our trip from Bay Area in CA to Portland. Had the Champagne flight, rose flight and Pinot noir flight. Also enjoyed a nice cheese plate, the Brie was amazing! Everything was amazing and will definitely be back!!!

Service was great. Couldn’t say the same for the wines. Went for the Pino Noir premium tasting… did not like any of the 3! Their small bites were good, Olympic provision pâté and salami and cheese were great, made the tasting bearable.

This was a nice little place to get some samples of wine. We ordered the«where’s the beef?» Flight of red wines. It came with three 1.5 ounce samples which equals a typical glass of wine. It was about $ 12. We also got cheese plate for $ 10. It was very small but it was pretty yummy. It came with 3 different cheeses: blue cheese, Brie and dry jack. We will definitely be back to try the champagne flight!

Oregon Wines is a phenomenal establishment. Great atmosphere, amazing wine options & very fun music. We had a great time & look forward to coming back when we are in town again.

Excellent wines and snacks. Features Oregon wines(hence the name) and also i believe is co-owned by one of the wineries in the region. Cute place to spend 1 – 2 hours just chilling and chatting with the ladies serving the wines.

Walked in for Domain Drouhin and walked right out when they couldn’t open last bottle per bosses rules. Oh well. I liked it last time I went and had that wine. Bummer.

At a recent visit, we were horrified to witness incredibly rude and irresponsible treatment by what appeared to be the manager to an older man sitting at the bar. He had had a little too much, so she very loudly announced she was cutting him off. He then stood to leave, stumbled a bit, fell, and hit his head. He was on the floor so many patrons rushed to help and when the bartender asked the mgr what to do, she said, «I don’t care. I just want him out of here.» The bartender said she didn’t think they could do that and a patron walked over to say they had called paramedics. The mgr then started asking the bartender who served him and how much he’d had(3 glasses of wine); and went on to complain that server was clearly too nice. Her behavior was inexcusable and we felt sick to our stomachs after witnessing it. We will never go back and are disappointed to have spent the money we did while there.

Place was nice but small. Oregon wine is good but not fabulous. Compared to other places I have frequented it was ok.

As many others have said, this place has great potential, but is really lacking, especially in friendly service. The woman working this evening was cold, bordering on rude, and obviously cared only about her regulars. The menu is hard to decipher and incomplete. The small bites are nothing special. Classic rock playing loudly was distracting. With a prime downtown location, this place could be great, but owners and servers only have one chance to impress. There are plenty of other wonderful places to have wine in Portland.

Best selection of Oregon Pinot Noir by the glass or taster anywhere!!! A rotating list of 36 different open bottles of Reds. This is a local wine bar and bottle shop not a tourist joint so don’t expect the barista to fawn all over you. But they are helpful and very knowledgeable especially on Northwestern Wines. Skip the tasting flights, drink it by the glass from Riedel’s New World Pinot Noir glassware. They will help you find best wine for your taste.

Like Mariah’s review of May 3, I think we likely had the same bartender. Completely aloof and disinterested. She had all the«right answers» and«comments’ to whatever we said while staring off into the distance and acting as if it was an obligation to be there. She obviously had NO interest in her her job or the wine or the experience of visitors to Portland. Realistically, what else is there? Wine bars and wine flights are a dime a dozen. It’s how it’s presented and sold that matter. One flight and then we took flight… glad to have left.

I was definitely not impressed with this place and will not be coming back. Upon walking in, we weren’t greeted by anyone and awkwardly looked around the room deciding whether or not we should seat ourselves and where we should sit to be acknowledged. The one person working seemed engaged in a conversation with a group at the bar and we felt as if our mere presence was interrupting her. After we were(finally) greeted, we ordered 3 flights: the«Blondes Have More Fun»(a selection of whites), the Basic Pinot Noir, and«Where’s the Beef»(non-Pinot Noir reds). Upon being served our flights, we received absolutely no description of the wines – not even their names(although the names and years were written beneath the glasses). Our server put them in front of us like she were in a hurry and proceeded to chat with her friends. On top of that, the conversation they were all having was very vulgar, unprofessional and distracting. Overall, the wine was ok but the service(or lack thereof) overrode the experience. Quite frankly, a Trader Joes employee recently told me more about wine than this place.

This is a fun/funky wine bar/shop. Lots of great wine on“tap” Take a look along the wall. fantastic local wines to take home… not sure what to buy? Grab a seat and try a flight. I love having flights of wine… its like gong to a tapas bar and trying everything… you can’t go wrong! The servers are friendly and very knowledgeable They do have a wine club in case you want to be adventurous Fridays are champagne flight days… so if you want to taste something spectacular thats bubbly, go on Friday They do offer small bites to have with your tastings The prices vary according to the wine but every price range is available

Whenever someone from out of town visits and wants to know more about Oregon wine than Portland beer, I tell them to stop at Oregon Wines on Broadway. I’ve never had such fabulous pinot noirs, and I say pinots because you really should try them when you visit since Oregon pinots are some of the best in the world. When I’ve visited recently, there have been 4 separate testing flights on the menu. There’s one with affordable pinot, one with fancy pinot(take the price jump; it’s totally worth it), one with a smattering of whites for you non-red fans, and one with a variety of meatier reds if you’re not in a light red mood. This isn’t to mention the rotating champagne flights, and there’s even a specialty flight offered most Fridays and you can receive more information about that if you sign up for the newsletter at the end of your visit. There’s also more than 30 Oregon Pinot Noirs you can sip, and bottles you can purchase to take home. As far as service, you won’t find an overbearing wait staff here, but you will find a friendly, informative server that only comes to pester you when the glasses are getting ready for a fill up. This is right in lock-step with most of the service industry here in Portland; we expect you to go out for drinks to enjoy the drinks, not to be fawned over. This isn’t the cheapest wine bar out there, but every wine I’ve sampled has been delicious here, so I’m willing to pay a little more for wine I know I will love. The best directions I can give are that it’s across from the Marriott and adjacent to a Belgian chocolate store, because the front of the store is that unassuming. It took me about 3 tries to find this little place, and I worked around the corner! But if you’re a wine fan, this is a must-visit in Portland proper, and is easily walkable from Powell’s if you’re hitting the big tourist spots!

We stopped in here a few times over the weekend. We wanted to taste some local wines and it was located right across the street from our hotel. They have a large assortment of Oregon wines. They offer them in glasses or in flight options as well. The staff was very friendly and quite helpful. The prices are fair and there is a lot of seating available. We will certainly be purchasing some wine from them to ship back home, which is a nice option to have when you are visiting from out of town.

I am a regular at this place so take what I say with a grain of salt. I give OWOB5 stars for these reasons #1 — 20 + open bottles of Oregon Pinot Noir available for tasting.
No other place in Oregon matches this. If you want to try Oregon Pinot and don’t have time for tastings in the Valley, this is as good as it gets. #2 — Riedel Oregon Pinot Bowls for Glass Pours — They get the glass right! #3 — Probably the best place to go in Portland for Champagne. Great selection and amazing Champagne Friday tastings — Ambonnay comes in 2nd #4 — Down to earth service. If you are a pretentious NY/SF wine snob you probably won’t like this place. However, if you are friendly and open minded you should have a great time. Also, if you are horrified every time you hear the word«cock», you should probably skip this place. #5 — Low Markups/No In store corkage. Find something you like, sit at the bar and drink the bottle, just pay the retail price. no restaurant style gouging. ********This alone would rate it 5 stars in my book********** So don’t let the negative reviews put you off. Come with a friendly attitude and you will have a great time drinking wines you won’t find anywhere else.

We just had a sub par experience at your tasting bar, Oregon Wines on Broadway. Here are our recommendations for improvement: — Have available tasting sheets. We were told to go online. When we did, no tasting sheets existed online. We would have been interested in becoming club members but didn’t receive any information, nor do we feel we would’ve been supported as club members. — We were interested in multiple flights and therefore ordered small plates. We were extremely disappointed in the quality of the small plates. For example, our pâté was an end piece full of inedible fat and accomplices by 8 raisins. We were not attended too. Your place has great potential! However after our experience we would not recommend it and will share this on online review sites.

This is a really cute little wine shop and tasting room right by where I work. I’ve passed by it a dozen times until I finally noticed it, so it is easy to pass up. The inside is cozy and charming and comfortable. It’s a great place to sip wine on a lazy afternoon or have a glass after a hard day of work. They have some really excellent wines here. They have a large selection of wines and it changes often. We had an excellent white flight for $ 10 and a great Willamette Valley Pinot Noir flight. They serve little snacks and bites, we had some tasty Jack cheese with Pearl Bakery bread. They also have Champagne flights and even something called Champagne Friday’s. And, oh Champagne, how I love thee. Our service was good. She was on top of things and knowledgeable about the wine. I would recommend it here.
