Helpful Tips: *******Pasha has moved to SW Kerr Parkway across from PCC Sylvainia. *******Kolbeh on SW Kerr Parkway is now reincarnated as Pasha FYI. First off you will want to set your GPS for Walter Mitty’s because this place does not show up on the map depending on what you are using. I almost want to give Pasha lunch deal/this place a 5⁄5. I think it is one of the best things I have experienced so far in 2015. We have been there 2x’s in the last couple of weeks. I can see myself becoming a regular patron of this place. The lunch deal can’t be beat. The off the skewer chicken kabobs the first time we went were off the hook! I craved it. The next time we went however, it seems that they got the meat too close to the flame because it had a scorched taste to it. That and the ran out of grape leaves that week for their lunch and substituted beets which were nothing outstanding. Chicken Shwarma, meatballs and some sort of seasoned? curry? fish also available as for the meat selection. They also had an eggplant dish, seasoned yummy slaw, bread, great hummus, lentil dish, two different kinds of rice, salad w/homemade dressing, various kinds of vegetables. The lasagna is better some weeks not so great others. I suspect they switch off family members of who is cooking on certain days??? They do have soup available on the lunch deal but it is across the room from the buffet so keep your eyes peeled for the pot. I suspect it is because they ran out of outlets on that side of the room so they have it plugged in close to the bar. The Décor: They have a lovely patio out back next door to Walter’s Patio. The interior has a full bar plenty of seating and is painted in theme to fit Pasha’s owners country of origin. They have belly dancing at night on weekends here. I see posters in the window for an 80’s night. They have a dance floor area and If I recall correctly a DJ& stage area. You are prob best to phone the Pasha to find out what entertainment they have going on that weekend as I am hard pressed to find any solid info online about it. Sometimes you may find an event calendar on their FB under their former listing of Kolbeh. Ancient Persian Secret…

This is one of the best finds in town and I think the lunch buffet is tops. Service is prompt and friendly & it can’t be beat for the price. Not a great part of town but I’m willing to claw my way through the riff-raff to get there. The spread is incredible with all things Mediterranean. Tabouli, slaw, domas, hummus, and a complete array of hot foods as well. They serve up some if the best fish I’ve ever had ranging from talapia to cod.

Lunch Buffet Review: My usual gripe w/Buffets is a lack of selection. Usually you see 8 – 10 dishes, usually mostly entrees, and more than often I am underwhelmed by the selection of things that suite my tastes. However, Pasha managed to be the first buffets in quite awhile to over deliver on selection. There were no less than 10 appatizers/salads, and somewhere around 10 meat/main dishes. I had samplings of Tomato, onion and cucumber salad. Tabouli was fresh and excellent, the Humus was good, and the Dolma were fresh and well prepared. I had tastes of the Chicken Kebab, Beef Kebab, Talipa all of which were very good. The beef meatballs were a little off for my tastes, but were passable, just not my style. The service was excellent for having what seemed like only one waitstaff tending to about 10 – 15 tables. I will return.

Some local friends on a lunch break took us to Pasha, and we were wowed! Pasha provided an afforadable, decadent Monday lunch spread for us. I liked the atomosphere, which had lots of ornate decorations. Lots of soups, salads, dips and entrees were spread out for us to choose from. I’m not sure I’ve seen this many choices on a lunch buffet… eyes…bigger…than…stomach… I especially liked the ground beef kebabs(kind of like sausages), the hummus, and the rice. They had two different kinds of pilaf: white and green with herbs. Why was the rice so good? Maybe it had a stick of butter; I wouldn’t doubt it. That stuff was addictive! The lunch buffet was a great value, and if I lived in Portland and worked downtown, I’d weigh at least 10 lbs more than I do now.

We went there for lunch buffet. I’d never had Mediteranian food so I was excited. The food was great! I loved that rice and soup and everything. Their buffet is affordable. I will come back again soon!

I’ve been to Pasha only once on a Friday evening before things got ramped up there so I can’t quite give it a full on review of all that it offers. The menu was decent and the food was a bit under par for the pricing, but still totally yummy. The drinks were also a bit under par for the pricing. I had three Maker’s Manhattans and they were okay but at $ 9 a pop I was un-thrilled. The Hookah menu looked good but we opted not because we had already spent $ 100 after tip for the two of us and our evening was just starting. The wait staff was very attentive and good looking. The smoking was very cool like it was naughty to smoke indoors but after a big meal with drinks even I was hankering for cigarette. Overall I found it to be a pleasant experience and left with the feeling that I had visited an underground speakeasy type restaurant that Portland has been famous for in their past. Enjoy

Went to Pasha’s buffet for lunch buffet and I was pleasantly surprised. Pasha’s is situated just off the skaggy part of Burnside in Old Town — it’s not in the best of locations — but upon walking into the place, it was a different world. Exposed brick, a long, narrow dining room with gorgeous art and atmosphere; I instantly thought ‘date place’. We were starving, and sceptical of a buffet place, but the food was great. My compatriots raved about the beef; I had a bit of everything veggie and the salmon cakes, which must have been home-made, because they were NOT typical. Not only were they not dense, but they had a great texture and weren’t greasy either. The Caesar salad was great, the rice was fluffy, and nothing was old or out of date. The service was attentive and friendly, and the tea was excellent as well. I’ll be going back for lunch and maybe try it for a dinner out. They have belly dancing on Thursday, which I may check out as well. Edit: I keep going back and the quality remains the same: great.
