Chef Nate kindly assisted on preparing one of the most important meals of my life, my rehearsal dinner for my wedding. Needless to say expectations were very high, and Chef Nate and Chef Mat exceeded them all! They prepared a southern boil, salads, and more for around 20 people and it looked, smelled, and most importantly tasted wonderful! I had many guests mention about the ‘ballet’ that was performed in the kitchen with both Chefs seamlessly moving in coordination without a word to one another. I expect any decent chef in Portlandia to be able to accommodate a vegan diet — but Nate went significantly above and beyond simply accommodating. Had I not seen what he was feeding my non-vegan colleagues, I would have thought we’d hired a chef specifically to cater to my needs. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, his dishes were consistently imaginative and finely-prepared. Nate shopped at local farmers markets to make sure he got fresh and local ingredients, and adjusted recipes to make the most of the best ingredients. I couldn’t ask for a better experience from a mobile chef and would recommend Nate without reservation.

Our company took 18 people on a three day retreat at Cannon Beach. Nate got the top marks beating out every other aspect of the retreat earning a 10+ out of 10 from the attendees. The process of planning the meals, accounting for vegans, gluten free etc. was a pleasure. The overall cost was a terrific value as well. He purchased amazing ingredients and cooked meals that were superior in every way to what we would have expected at a nice restaurant. The additional benefit to working with Nate is he is a great guy. We enjoyed having him in the kitchen throughout the day while working through our planning in the living room. I could not have imagined a better experience and recommend Nate with the highest of confidence. We are already planning our next retreat with Nate at the center of it.
