My husband and I have visited this store on a few occasions, buying a few of their less expensive offerings: a pre-amplifier, some computer speakers, and a digital/analog converter, among other things. Their customer service is some of the best we have encountered from any business, as they are helpful, approachable, and knowledgeable, without being pushy or arrogant. Further, they have an impressive selection ranging from high-end to entry-level, but quality audio gear, and many items are ready to demo. If you are in the market for audio equipment and are in the Northwest, this is the store to visit.

These guys give the best service you will find anywhere! I bought a turntable from Pearl Audio Video. I love the turntable, but that’s just the start. The service and support was fantastic. Here’s my story: when I took the turntable home, I discovered that my amplifier(bought on line from Amazon) didn’t work right. It was supposed to have phono inputs, but the inputs didn’t work. Anyway, the folks at Pearl loaned me a phono stage(preamp) for my amp and let me keep it for about a month while I decided what to do about my amp.(Don’t ask about the online tech support I got on my amp from customer service in India.) In contrast, Pearl offered to come over(at no charge!!!) to help me get my turntable working. They gave me advice about purchasing a replacement amp without pushing me to buy one of theirs. The service was beyond anything I have ever seen. These guys do tend to be high end, but anything they sell is superior quality/superior sound, with service to back it up. If you are considering buying audio/video equipment, you should visit these guys. You won’t regret it.

Pearl Audio is a cool place, but I don’t know how they stay in business because the retail price of the stuff they sell would buy a good used car, and that pricey Pearl Distinct real estate means they can’t really negotiate much below retail. That being said, it’s a beautiful store with some of the finest audio components on the planet earth. Now before you chalk me up as an elitist consumer of earth-killing electronics, let me explain that thirty, forty, and even fifty year old models of the brands Pearl Audio sells can be found trading on the internet for more than they sold for originally. People love them, service and repair them, and hand them down to the next generation — I’ve got a family member patiently waiting. You will not find this stuff in the landfill. The owners are friendly and helpful. They even loaned me a pre-amp to take home for the weekend. It was a very risky thing to do, because I’d just walked in off the street and they didn’t know me from Adam. Having this gear in stock and being willing to allow customers to live with it for a few days is worth a few extra dollars. Even if you’re not in the market, walk by some evening after dinner to look in the window and enjoy all the blue lights.
