The ultimate stop in off the street for one beer & keep moving. Fun… open…spacious…Ice cold beer.

A go-to spot for nightlife, but nothing too special about it. Relatively loud, poppy soundtrack and average priced drinks. The place can get very crowded after 11PM, especially during the summer. Sometimes people dance, other times its just a lot of standing around. In short, it’s not a bad place to start off the night, but not usually where I wanna end up.

you can get a miller high life for a dollar here and it’s a fairly quiet sports bar until 9pm. sometimes the owner makes arbitrary decisions and decides that your friend is too ugly to get in his bar on new year’s eve without paying a cover charge, and then you just go down fore to the other bar he owns where the crowd is rowdier but you don’t have to deal with a ridiculous cover charge

Young crowd, but great drink specials! The music is great! Lots of items on draft and they have a pool table. I’m sure it’s more crowded on a weekend. I’m here for a birthday party, so there is a decent crowd here. I am drinking a .75 draft special.

I stopped in for a quick drink around 4−5pm on a weekday night while on vacation. The bar was pretty… gross. There were only 2 other people there, which wasn’t surprising considering the time of day I was there but as soon as I walked in I immediately wanted to walk out. The whole bar just looked sad. I sat at the end of the bar and the first thing to catch my eye was this dirty popcorn machine to my right with a giant bottle of some type of mixed cleanser with writing on it that said«WINDEX» about two feet away from where I was sitting. They had a decent beer selection on tap and the bartender was pretty nice, but it seemed like there were a lot of other bars that would be a better choice.

It’s a cool little spot downtown but it’s a little run down. Good beer selection but I was hoping for more both inside the bar and for beer selection.

I am not a fan of this place. The sign out front said $ 2 domestics and well drinks for Happy Hour. We came in and ordered coke and rum plus a shipyards seasonal. Sorry when I see domestic I believe that it means any beer made domestically. I was shocked that I had to pay $ 4.75 and the bartender never paid us enough attention for me to question it. I saw it when I got the bill and was confused. I don’t think domestic when most of the other beer there is owned by a foreign company. Not worth the happy hour.

This might be a douche bag bar at night… But early afternoon the place is empty and you can act a fool with out anyone grabbing your parts. If you’re scared of heights be careful going down the steps to the bathroom and hold on to the rail. Steep as a mountain. Drinks strong. Bass loud. Short shirts = pick up bar.

I’ve now come plenty of times with coworkers, friends, and solo. It’s a great place to hang out after work with coworkers, play a couple rounds of foze ball and have some fun. You can watch sports on the big screen behind the bar or on one of the many screens. It’s not your normal sports bar so it’s a great place for those who want to casually watch any game. During the weekday its a calm, cool, causal bar, that’s very inviting for any afterwork solo time. Peace and quiet with a relaxing bar environment. Sometimes it’s nice to just be out. The bartenders are very friendly, and when it’s not busy, sometime quite chatty with patrons. Still, the one drawback for me is that they don’t Sam Adams on tap!

I don’t like to leave less than stellar reviews, so I often don’t if I am not satisfied with an establishments customer service because it could be just an off night or I may have just had a bad bartender/server. If the service is painfully terrible and completely unacceptable, I feel I have to express that. So typically I enjoy myself at the tap house side of Pearl, but last night when a group of us arrived and stood at the bar to order our drinks, we waited for 10 minutes before we tried to get one of the lady bartenders attention. We had made eye contact with a few of them and also tried to flag down the bar back as well… His response from the other side of the bar(before we could ask him any questions) was — «I don’t make drinks or bartend». Approximately 10 more minutes went by, during which 2 of the bartenders had told us they would be right over to serve us. After another 5 minutes or more of waiting, I suggested to my friends we just go somewhere else since we weren’t being served. Very disappointed in the quality of customer service as I work in a similar industry. As I had mentioned, I typically have had good experiences here. A few of my friends love going there, so I have been many times. Due to lack of attention and piss poor customer service I will be avoiding this establishment. It seemed to me that if you weren’t someone who knew the bartenders you would have to wait a long time to get a drink, that is if you got served at all. We ended up heading to amigos, which is slightly dive-ish but not pretentious at all. When we arrived and stood at the bar and we were greeted with a smile, had small talk and ordered our drinks within 2 minutes even though they were just as busy if not busier than Pearl Tap House. My friend made a point to thank her for the prompt service and let her know he wasn’t sure excellent customer service existed anymore down in the old port. When our drinks were being made, 2 other bartenders had approached us and asked if we needed anything. Not my favorite bar but I will definitely return to amigos and avoid anything related to Pearl… Period.

Pearl Tap house has become one of my favorite old port bars. While it doesn’t really have an identity, it accidentally fills a void. Let’s be honest, I’m a pretty awkward dancer. Liquid courage will drive me out there, but I’m not making it to the finals on SYTYCD. Pearl Tap House is attached to Pearl Nightclub. So any dancers in your group can go show off their moves while you hang out in the pub. There’s always drink specials that are $ 3 or less. Often you can order a 25 ounce beer for $ 2. Basically this bar pays you to come and drink. The Tap House has a kitchen-sink type attitude. Free popcorn like Dewey’s and Rosie’s? Sure, why not? Beautiful bartenders? Yup. Large screen tvs for sports and a digital jukebox you can control with your phone? They have that too. Most importantly, the clientele isn’t extremely young or Jersey Shore-ish like you’d expect. It’s almost an undiscovered gem. So go to Pearl Nightclub and dance. I’ll be next door drinking for pennies and playing 80s on the jukebox. And still looking awkward.

SIgns on the outside advertise $ 1 drafts during happy hour… when you walk in… it’s only for Natural Light… Marketing at work !!! Waitress is nice, but not very helpful… Lots of specials to lure people in… overall a nice place, lots of seating, lots of TV screens.
