I came in looking for the Glacier park blanket. They didn’t have it, but their sales guy found the numbers of a few other Pendleton stores in the country that did have it. I later called and the first store I spoke to took my order over the phone and am shipping it to me this week. All the Native American imagery makes me uncomfortable(I mean, is Pendleton owned by a Native American person??? If not, why are they monetizing Native American images), but their blankets are well made and this guy that worked at the store was pretty helpful.

Friendly staff that doesn’t push any products in your face. They know the quality of goods speak for themselves. There’s a ton of selection here but sadly, could not find anyhting we wanted to take home with us. Part of the problem is that we live near a factory store in Monterey, California, where we’ve seen Pendleton blankets for far less. Also, with a lot of local artisans(Tanner Goods) making fantastic leather products, the appeal of their goods besides blankets has gone down for me. Check their hours before stopping by! Otherwise, great store to browse in when you’re visiting Portland.

The staff here is awesome. They were friendly and helpful without being in your face. The selection of stuff was strange because a lot of it was not Pendleton. If you’re in the market for a blanket, this would be the place to come. I have a Yakima Camp blanket and it’s awesome – super warm and durable and pretty.

I was lured into the store by some fine-sounding live music on First Thursday during a fundraiser to buy health insurance for local musician Steve Krebs. While enjoying the music and having some sparkling water, I took the time to wander the store and look over all the«purty» items for the home. I remember when Pendleton home items were mostly all about their legendary blankets and about lodge or cabin-style items. I have a couple of the blankets myself and love them. Like I said, I enjoyed looking at everything, but I was intrigued with some of the clothing items they had on display. They are definitely inspired by Native American style and also very much like what Georgia O’Keefe wore when she lived and worked in New Mexico. I admit I haven’t kept track of Pendleton clothing for some time, but these were quite chic. If I were looking for a gift to buy someone for a special occasion, I definitely would come here to look and buy, especially since it is a local manufacturer. Like the other reviewer said, it’s also a great place to get ideas for decorating your own home. So, if you haven’t visited a Pendleton store in awhile, this is definitely the time to do it.

The Pendleton Home Store is a great place to go to be inspired if you are considering redecorating a room or two. They have fantastic little room displays throughout the entire store that showcase a lot of their merchandise. It’s fun to just walk around and see how they have the perfect blend of vintage-looking items, Native American and western blankets, trinkets and furniture paired with modern pieces. I personally can’t afford or justify buying a $ 1,200.00 head and foot board for my bed, however one of their displays motivated me to create a DIY version for a small fraction of the price. The staff are always helpful and can answer most questions, the problem sometimes is finding someone. Since there are so many«rooms» on the floor, people tend to disappear and can’t be seen behind faux walls. The store also carries clothing, accessories and gifts(not all Pendleton) however I don’t think appeals to the twenties and early thirties crowds… unless maybe you happen to be a cowboy on vacation. One of the peculiar things is that they list themselves as the Pearl store… EEEEHHHHHHWRONG! You, my dear wooly friends, are in Chinatown. Even if you were on the west side of Broadway, you’d still be in Chinatown.
