The phở here is top notch, and possibly even the best I’ve had in the PDX metro area. Portions are huge & come with all the sides for only $ 7. You won’t leave disappointed I can promise you that. The service can be finicky at times, but have a little patience, the food is worth it my friends…

I’ve been here multiple times, not once disappointed. I’ve tried the phở, and a durain milkshake here before. Great menu items, kind of divey feel, but I enjoy those types of places. The service is usually very fast, which is even better.

A legit place for Beef Noodles. I walked in and saw a few patrons seated at the counter. I wanted to sit at the counter, too. They had chairs marked A, B, C, D, E. I thought that was cute, a way to identify tables and orders. I selected a Phở option, $ 8. Was intrigued that they had a large TV screen showing the College Football Final on and the staff was really into it. Other than that, not much ambiance. Service was quick — the Phở was a B. Good flavor, portion, sprouts, and Jalapeño. Could’ve used a touch more meat. Loads of folks coming in and out for to-go orders. Their communication is very direct and simple. I saw a few folks ask questions and one lady wanted the Happy Hour pricing for a to-go order. No good. But I appreciate that they are no-nonsense in their dealings. Plenty of parking and restroom a little tight, but okay.

Folks need to get over their gripes about the service here. This place is a modest Vietnamese restaurant. So long as the waiter takes your order, brings your food, and settles your bill in a reasonably timely fashion, than the service is up to par in my book. Solid Phở. Nice portions. Tasty broth(always reliable and will not ever disappoint). Comes with all the fresh veggies. Definitely worth stopping in if jonesing for Phở in the Hawthorne area.

Great food, okay service and atmosphere. I got the veggie and tofu phở but with the beef broth — I don’t normally eat beef at all but wanted to try the more traditional version of the soup. I got the size large and it was too much! It’s only $ 1 more than the small though, which is what convinced me. This place is rent across from the Freddie’s on Cesar Chavez /39th and has its own parking lot. I would probably come back if hungry and in the area but wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here.

Great phở chay! Quaint place with plenty of booths, right across the street from Trader Joes. They separate out the parts of phở for takeout, which is pretty cool.

My favorite phở on the east side! Flavorful spiced broth. Delicious! I don’t live in the neighborhood so don’t frequent this spot as much as I’d like to. Never disappointing.

Veggie phở with beef broth is so scrum-didily-umscious! I get it everytime I come here, the best veggie phở bowl in town.

I used to love this place. Ate there with a friend last night and there was a pretty good size cockroach crawling up the wall above our table. I alerted someone and they killed it — but no apology, no compensation, no «let us get your bill». So disappointed. And disgusted.

Grease all over my crêpe! I tried to blot it off and now there are nasty crunched up napkins all over the table. For shame!

Although I have driven by this establishment 100’s of times over the years, last night, we were hungry for Phở, and it was the closest place listed. We are about to become regulars here! Everything was fresh and delicious. We had the Veggie Phở, Bun Ga and Phở Ga — Everything was superb. The atmosphere is ecclectic and comfortable, the wait staff friendly and attentive. It’s not fancy, but I could totally see this as a nice date night place. AND! PARKING! Which is getting harder and harder to find in this neighborhood. We went around 7:30 on a Friday night, it was busy, but no lines. The small is huge and the large is ginormous, be forewarned!

Everything is excellent from the appetizers to the good old phở. Huge selection to choose from and overall you’re getting a lot of food for the price. Did I mention that it is very delicious food? I think the only way they can keep things so cheap is to have a very«homey» décor. Very much would recommend this place for good phở if you want to get a lot for your money!

These guys could insult me to my face and say something nasty about my mother and I’d still come back here for their vegetarian phở with veggie broth. I’ve tried finding better but I’ve given up because every single time I just wish I was here. I get this place at least once or twice a week. The worst part about this place is that when I finish my bowl of deliciousness I want more and I can’t have more because my stomach is literally about to burst open. I am satisfied for maybe five minutes before I am already anticipating the next time I can have it again. I am addicted and it’s almost at alarming levels. Sometimes while I am sitting in a booth shoving my face, I hear people grumbling about the service. I have never had a problem with service but I just require my food to be sat down and I don’t even care if it’s with a smile, I am far too busy to care about service because I am balls deep in some amazing veggie phở. Four stars for overall for other people’s grumblings, but five stars specifically for the veggie phở. Until the next time, my love, veggie phở, I will see you again soon.

My wife and I were driving back from an 8 mile hike and though there are tons of food options in Portland, not everything is open past 10pm. Despite late night phở as somewhat of a ritual for me in my big city that never sleeps — it’s usually alcohol induced or the only option. I haven’t had phở for years as one of my 3 squares until my wife and I decided we should try phở for dinner. You can definitely tell it was a diner in its previous life, but this is portland right? They turn warehouses into super chic restaurants and brewery’s, why not a diner into a Vietnamese house of beef noodles? Wife and I got the Salad roll with shrimp and pork: it was not inferior to other ones I’ve had(which is a good thing because I’ve had pretty good ones) and two large phos with everything in it. What caught my eye was when they brought the raw bean sprouts out: all our bean sprouts were super clean and super fresh. Sometimes you get some that are wilted or browning or have the sprout shell on it, but I couldn’t believe it when I could not find 1 sprout I had to pick out. Awesomely fresh veggies. The phở was filled with a good amount of the various meats: tendon, tripe, etc and the broth was one of the better/tastier I’ve eaten. Overall 5 stars for service, 5 stars for taste.

My family took a weekend trip to Portland and was Starving after our morning hike. The only reason why we even picked this place was bc it was close to blue star donuts but that alone was not enough to satisfy our hunger. Based on the previous reviews and ratings I thought hmm this could be ok … Someone mentioned best phở in town! It can’t be bad… oh boy were we wrong! And here is why: To start: service … The servers were rude and totally not welcoming … Mind u. This restaurant was empty and I would have expected some decent service. Yes I admit we were a large party and that could be hard to handle but still a smile would have been nice and when taking the order. The server just seemed annoyed. Really ? The food: we come fr California so of course when u tell us phở we know what u are talking about and what to expect … The phở was not even tasty and does not even seem like it’s phở ! This is supposed to be 4 stars ??? Really ! Coming fr where we live. This would not survive Word of advice .For those who want phở … Do not come here

Best phở in town in my opinion. They have veggie broth! I have found it hard to find phở places that carry a good veggie phở. Either they don’t have veggie broth or the bowl you get is simply noodles and lettuce. They pack your bowl with tons of veggies. It’s amazing. The service is quick and painless. They keep your water filled. Now when I come in I don’t even order because they know what I want. They are observant of their regulars.

An old colonial diner half assed converted to a mediocre Asian soup slop house. It’s clean, but boring and the food is bland and uninspired., except for beef broth soup with ginger and cilantro which was very good. Good free parking

I’ve driven by this place a million times. Luckily tonight, I made Phở Dalat the destination and was rewarded 10x by hot, flavorful noodle soup. I ordered the C1. I’ve had a lot of bowls of phở and Phở Dalat seems to serve quality pieces of meat. Tea is served without request. To our table’s delight, it was even in a porcelain teapot! No stainless steel teapots or plastic dishes in sight. Really nice touch. I’ve found my new favorite phở place. Amazing!

Sometimes, when on vacation, you just have get away from all the rich, heavy foods and just chow down on a big bowl of noodle soup. We were in that mood today and found Phở Dalat while driving in SE. We were seated right away and given menus. A pot of tea and glasses of water also appears in front of us. We weren’t particularly hungry so we opted to just order Phở. A C-1 Large(Phở Delat Dac Biet — Dalat Special Combination Beef Noodle Soup w/Top Round Steak, Flank, Lean Brisket, Tripe and Beef Meat Balls) for me. And a C-15 Small(Phở Tai, Ve Don — Beef Noodle Soup w/Top Round Steak and Skirt Flank) for her. The noodles had the perfect bite. The soup was absolutely perfect and very«beefy». We were given lots of Bean Sprouts, Thai Basil, Sliced Jalapeños, Cilantro and a couple of Lime Wedges to «dress» our soup as we saw fit. These were easily some of the best bowls of Phở that we’ve ever had and we live in the San Francisco Bay Area where Phở Restaurants abound.
