Piccolina

Nice high end gently used clothing. I found the prices of clothing reasonable for the quality and brand. Strollers seemed pricey. In my opinion a very very used and faded double bob should not be priced at $ 450. I found some cute girl clothes and definitely think this is a place worth going to.

When I went to piccolina I saw good prices for baby gear however their used baby clothes are almost the same prices as ones you would buy in stores. They have a good selection of baby carriers and cloth diapers and overall it was a cute little store but I didn’t walk out of there with anything I had to have. In the long run the customer service was not the best and I was never asked if I needed help finding something.

Hands down, this is my favorite children’s clothing/​gear store in Portland. My baby is about 8 months old and we go in here multiple times a week to check out their clothes and books. I walk out with something 90% of the time. I love that they carry quality items and not flimsy clothes and toys that will fall apart after a year.
Definitely great value for your buck here.
Oh and the people are great. I definitely feel more comfortable going here now than I used to when I was still childless.
The only thing is that I wish there was more space to get around the store. It can feel a little claustrophobic sometimes.

I would give this place more stars if it wasn’t for the fact that the last 3 times I brought clothes to sell at the 26^th Street location, the buyer has not been in. There should be some kind of notice on the their website. They told me to go to the Woodstock location which I declined because I already traveled far enough to get to 26^th. We are parents with babies, we don’t have time to wait for your buyer or travel to another location with baby in tow. I have a tight schedule. This is unfair.
The clothes and resale policy are decent, so that is worth noting. But if your buyer is not in, then don’t have your website wrongly listing the days you can come in to sell.
The last time I went there I called to see if a buyer was in. I left a message and no call back. When I got there it was the same story — the owner has health issues; go to Woodstock. No, I am sorry, I am the customer. Update your website with EXACT times that a buyer will be present. That is decent business. Have some heart for the parents who have extremely busy schedules and limited time.

I have been shopping and consigning at this store for over seven years. For years we lived I lived nearby so it was easy to get to and the service was great. Sadly, things have dramatically changed and I have found this shop to be extremely difficult to deal with lately.
In the last three months alone, I have tried to consign/​trade and NO ONE in the store is able to look through my items. It appears there is only one «buyer» now and she is never there when I am. One day, in January, I waited an hour and a half for the buyer to arrive before giving up (my 3yo was tired of walking around the neighborhood/​waiting) — apparently «snow» was the excuse that day (you should have seen how embarrassed the girl working at the store was when she had to share this alleged reason for her boss’s tardiness and apologize door her actions). Last month, I showed up around 10:30am, and was told the buyer wouldn’t be in for a couple of hours still. I was sent me down to the Woodstock location because the «buyer» at that store was to be in — he wasn’t, however. So, I decided this morning to phone before driving over and, naturally, my instincts were right — the buyer has a dentist appointment and the girl working had «no idea» what time she might possibly be in today.
I understand that the owner/​buyer may not want to spend all of her time at the shop and may not need to. What I don’t understand is why there would not be additional employees trained to buy/​trade items given that the owner is often out during buying hours. And if training others is an issue (it didn’t used to be!!!), then the hours posted in the store should be changed!!! Why say you’ll buy things from 10am-​6pm if you really won’t do so until after noon or whatever time? I don’t think it’s simply a coincidence that this has repeatedly happened to me in the last few months. I noticed service trailing off a little over a year ago, but now, I’m just disappointed and tired of dealing with someone who appears to no longer prioritize customers.

Stopped by here to check out their stock and they have a little bit of everything! Great selection on not just clothing, but all those other accessories you need for baby and kids like slings, cloth diapers and boppy covers. They even have some locally made burp cloths and flanel wipes.

What a cute little store! I have a lot of friends who are moms or are becoming moms. I had a fun time browsing their awesome selection.
I will probably frequent this store when I’m a mom, myself. It is right next to the park and the prices seemed fair.
I don’t know anything about putting your own stuff their on consignment though.

Excellent selection and friendly service. So easy to consign items, and awesome place to shop from too. Friendly local vibe at the Woodstock location where I primarily shop, and situated in a great neighborhood too! I find the diapering and baby gear prices to be competitive especially.

I love Piccolina because they have Tea! Really cute stuff. Will you get rich selling stuff there? No. Will you get to trade your best stuff for other great stuff. Yes. I like that she pays cash or trade instantly so I don’t have to remember to come back. I am too busy for consignment. I love visiting the shop when Sara is there. She is always nice and know a lot about baby products.

GREAT store. Very adorable adorable clothes and items for kids. The gal working was a huge help when I was trying to put together cute baby shower outfits. I feel like I got $ 150 worth of clothes for $ 80. I any wait to see my friends face when she opens my gift! Any baby gift I have to get will have to come from here from here on out!

I am never, ever able to leave Piccolina without something new and sweet for my daughter in hand. The service is consistently friendly and helpful, and I often bring visitors here to shop for their little ones.

Adorable locally made new items are also available — we love the unique baby legwarmers in patterns we haven’t seen elsewhere.
Not the greatest baby carrier selection in town, though there is usually a moby or two to be found, and the usual collection of passed-​over Baby Bjorns.

I used to go into Piccolina often to find things for my princess.
Some of my favorite used items came from here. I liked it. I was in there recently, and I still do, even though my daughter is at the higher end of their kid sizes now.
It helped that there is awesome coffee and Noho’s nearby, so you can make an afternoon of it.

I went here on a whim one Friday afternoon, and I already can’t wait to go back! Sara (the owner) was SO AMAZING! Super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I picked out this random (or so I thought) baby sling, and asked her how to use it, and she proceeded to tell me everything anyone could ever hope to know about it! She was super informative and it helped me feel very confident about what I was buying. I also found the cutest maternity dress ever. Love this place! I wish I were there right now!

A nice selection for the wee ones, not so hot as they get older. I like that they have toy «collections» sold in bags– things that are related or part of a set. I think they’re a bit pricey though– an $ 8.95 price point is too high for most resale. Also, they don’t appear to be interested in keeping sets together. I like shirts/​tunics that pair with leggings or matching bottoms. I never see these here!

I have tried this shop out on three occasions now, not one time was I impressed. While they have a large selection the store is crowded and hard to maneuver through. It is also a bit over priced for used goods, and lastly the customer service is horrible. In the three different times that I tried shopping there I was never acknowledged or spoken to by the people working. I am really disappointed, I like to shop local and used but I will definitely take my business elsewhere.

It is always a pleasure to shop or sell at Piccolina. The store is clean, not overstuffed, and has a constant flow of new clothes on the hangers (there is nothing more annoying when shopping than having to sort through the same crap you already passed up a month ago because a store will take anything.)
If you’re looking for cheapy cheap, it may not be the place for you but if you are looking for high end kids clothing at good prices (yes, i am willing to spend a few extra dollars on nicer stuff) check out Piccolina.

This is a cute store but it is overpriced for a consignment shop. Some of the prices on things from Old Navy, Gap Kids and Gymboree is almost exactly what you would pay for bran new if one of those stores was having a good sale. They have cute stuff but their prices in my opinion are too high for used clothess. I think there are other consignment shops that are better deals in Portland-​Sweet Pea being top on my list, Stella Bella pretty good.

Piccolina is a wonderful baby/children’s resale shop off Clinton and 26^th. I ventured in one day with a fellow mommy and was amazed! You mean — I can buy used stuff for less money from other mommies? WOW! Ok … I admit I was new to the consignment/​resale thing … but still!
Anywho — the great thing about this place is their selection. While always changing, they do a great job of keeping certain things in stock. They carry everything from maternity clothes and bras — to baby carriers — to nursery and safety equipment — newborn clothes to toddlers — toys, shoes and even used cloth diaper covers. I mean … YAY!
Also — the woman (I think she’s the owner) is one of the über-​happy sweet people you just want to be friends with.

This is a fabulous little second hand and new baby /​maternity store — a nice foil for Mother Natures across the street. Always something fun and reasonably priced there — my only complaint is that I would love it to open earlier in the morning (ie before 11am!)

More children’s and maternity clothes, used and great prices. Plus they have furniture and equipment.
Bonus: Across the street from Mother Natures and down the street from Xtabay (good for your «post-​pregnancy shopping spree» — you always need a new vintage dress).
