This place is hard to find because it’s down an asphalt path, but once a person finds it, it’s great for the kids. There are two areas. One is great for littler kids and one is better for the bigger kiddos. We really like it.

It’s a beautiful park surrounding trails. Kids love this place and so do the parents:). This park has lots of swings, play and sand area for kids. Couple of benches too. It’s super packed on weekends and summer days with lots of kids enjoying play time. You can go around and explore the trails. One of the trails goes up-to rock creek. Highly recommend this for kids activities and to get some fresh breeze!

Pirate Park, as the kiddos call it, is a bit hard to find. I can’t believe it wasn’t here on Unilocal before now(I added it), because it’s so popular. I found it through a blog online. It’s in the Bethany Park complex. The best place to park is on Energia St in the adjacent neighborhood and there’s a path that leads to the park. Once we rounded the corner and the kids saw the park, they went crazy. There’s a big play structure shaped like a pirate ship, complete with sails. The structure has a bridge leading to it, several ways to walk or climb up, and many slides and poles to get down. There’s a steering wheel so they can captain the ship, and bars to climb at the front. Aside from the main structure, there is a smaller structure up the little rubber particle hill that is simpler and made for the smaller kids/toddlers. There’s a big slide at the top of the hill, as well as a small one facing the smaller structure, and two areas with swings, one at each end of the playground. There’s also a sand pit with a water spicket so kids can dig and build to their hearts’ content. There are benches and picnic tables, as well as lush grass for picnic blanket fans. Paths around the park offer a great place for practicing on tricycles. We spent several hours there last time we were there. Any kid will love this park and be entertained for hours!
