Solid! Pizza and any other food item is delicious and consistent! The Villa has a family feel that is unmatched in Portland. Drinks are generous and the prices are very 2002. You can’t go wrong here but please don’t come here you may f up the vibe :)

Not bad at all… had the meatball pizza… meatballs quite good… great bar area… nice service… sauce could be a bit more flavorful… but all in all, a good experience… It tickles me though how some refer to this place… as well as J’s, Ruski’s and Commercial St. Pub as «dives»…they clearly have never been to a real dive, as these do not qualify by a long shot. All are perfectly lovely, well maintained establishments…

This establishment was part pizza shop and dove bar. I loved it! Pizza come is 10″ pies that are an ample portion for one person. The flavor was nice and so were the variety of toppings. What’s impressed me was the fully stocked bar. The Greek salad my wife and I split was fresh and we’ll topped with olives, tomatoes, green peppers and feta cheese. I will defiantly be back for a causal date night or for a beer after work.

Good pizza! It only comes in 10 inch pies, which is fine with me. I can almost eat an entire one by myself. I had sausage topping while my husband had pepperoni. Both were good. The menu is pretty extensive, with soup, wings, sandwiches and there is a bar attached to the pizza restaurant if you want a brew.

A fairly typical dive bar and pizza shop. Pizza is moderate at best buy hits the spot when you’ve got the munchies after a few beers. Also has some various games to play around with.

This is one of a breed that is currently dying out in Portland — a rough-around-the-edges, working-class dive that serves reasonably priced beers, cash-only, with an attached pizza kitchen that operates separately(which DOES take cards). The weekends get a little rowdy, and it’s at this location that the local cops come to celebrate retirements. It’s not unusual for cruisers, ambulances and/or federal officials to be removing patrons from the grounds, but that’s all part of the local color.

I was at house party nearby where I didn’t know many and I needed a break from the action so I took a walk to pizza villa for a break. Cash only bar, but the kitchen stays open as long as the bar is. They have strong draft beer like monkeyfist and hsa for decent prices. I sat down and was very surprised to see the winter x games on 2 of about 4 big screen TVs around the bar’s dining room. I got there just in time for the snowboard big air final jam session. I’m a big fan, esp of this event, and I hadn’t even realized the x games were airing. I looked around and was surprised to see other patrons as enthralled or moreso than I at the fringe sport on at the sports bar. It reminded me of the time I watched dressage at taco Escobar. I’ve had the chicken garlic pizza and it was good.

Good sauce, quality toppings. I wish they came in more than one size though. Haven’t tried anything else on the menu.

I was told to eat this Pizza by a friend who swears by it. I was drunk when I ate here and cant recall all the details, but I went to bed happy! Im from NY and consider myself a Pizza expert so if it was bad I would have woke up pissed! On a side note Im returning back this weekend to eat here sober! They do serve drunk people so thats a plus!

Great size pizza a little pricey, but we’re used to pies of the same size being around $ 5. Also not the best sauce, but didn’t really expect to find authentic pizza in Maine. Really friendly staff though. I will be back next greyhound trip north.

I don’t know who would ever compare this to New York pizza because it’s nothing like it. It’s small, doughy, and not very memorable. If I had to guess Id say they were loading their reviews to drum up business. Dont make the same mistake I did by reading some of the reviews here and thinking it was worth a shot. It’s not.

So we met the owner of this place on friday night. Great guy, super friendly. He told us about his place and we decided to check it oit the next day. We got two of their pizza specials: lamb sausage and artichoke and red pepper(?). A solid pizza with plenty of taste and fresh ingredients. I like the 10″ pizza option so you can go with a group and order multiple kinds. Great local stop, quick friendly service.

Best pizza ever! I take pizza seriously so I don’t make that statement lightly. I’ve lived and visited many cities including NY and Chicago and this was the best. One size only, many different toppings, conveniently attached to full bar, very friendly and clean. Your pizza is living on in my dreams.

It was our first day in Portland and we had literally just dropped off our stuff at our hotel across the street. We were hungry and looking for something close by to eat. The guys at the front desk recommended Pizza Villa and we strolled over for some surprisingly delicious food! I loved how friendly the guy working there was(hey, we’re from NYC!) and it added to a very pleasant lunch of haddock chowder(wow! Who knew a pizza place could make it real good?) and an olive pie. Their pie’s are 10 inches so that helped us devour it since our appetites can go either way(sometimes our eyes are bigger than our stomaches) so this was the perfect size really. And I must repeat since we’re from NYC, we’re used to good pizza… and this is good pizza! Definitely come by here if you’re in the area.

Shared 3 pizzas with the family tonight, garlic chicken, sausage and mushroom. Shipyard Applehead on tap. The place was packed, but the service was still great.

I’ve stopped in here a couple of times. Once before a Sea Dogs baseball game(that was rained out). We spent many hours here with friends and enjoyed the small pitcher beer specials. Awesome! We had their pizza and everything was great. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, good prices. The duck sausage pizza was amazing!

Awesome, awesome, awesome place. I’m so excited and feel so lucky that I landed(I just moved here from NY) right up the street from this place. As a New Yorker, I tend not to expect much from pizza anywhere else. Not only is their pizza great, but so far, everything else I’ve had has been, too.(That’s be jalepeno poppers, a calzone, and spagetti with meatballs. Their veggies are super fresh and just make everything taste better. The atmosphere there is is laid back and comfortable, and so far all the employees have been very friendly. It’s become a fast favorite.
