This place has snacks and hard cider whenever I am in need. Also, this is a short walk from my house. Win win! The clerks who work at this particular Plaid have always been very nice to me. It’s a Plaid Pantry corner store… exactly what one would expect.

Yep, you’d think this Plaid would have a few less crackheads hanging around it then the one down the street in St. Johns. After all, it’s on a quiet, tidy stretch of Rosa Parks, adjacent to a nice neighborhood and a university. But you’d be wrong. I won’t be back.

Don’t go here. Do all that you can to avoid this piece of junk. As much as I dislike the Plaid Pantry by my house(in St. John’s), this store really takes the cake. It’s 11PM and we stop to get some beer — in hopes of avoiding the one by my house which is always a nightmare. Big mistake. Two homeless people collecting beer cans from the trashcan in front of the store(which indicates there is lot of public drinking going on). We pick out a bottle of Mac’s and at the register I give the clerk my ID. By the way, it’s from California and it’s not a license because I don’t drive! He tells me that I can’t buy the beer because he only takes out of state licenses or Oregon IDs. My boyfriend, with his Oregon LICENSE, says«I’ll get it then.» The tweaker clerk then pulls the beer off the counter and says«NOTHANKS» and turns his back to us. How are you going to work at a convenience store near a University and not sell beer to people from another state?
