Planned Parenthood

Very friendly staff. However, at each of my four appointments I have had to wait at least 40 minutes to an hour PLUS before being seen by the provider. I’d like to support planned parenthood but I can’t take a half day at work for each appointment.

I love this place. They’re heroes. So glad they exist. Sometimes a bit of a wait but duh, they’re serving a huge population. Keep up the great work.

I was referred here for care. The staff was very friendly, however, I wasn’t seen until over 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment. Worse though, is that I needed my prescription called in that night.
I was very clear that I only had enough for that evening and the following morning, and that I was scheduled for a 13 hour overtime shift the next day. My only time to pick up my medication would be my lunch break. The practicioner assured me that the prescription would be called in that evening. When I arrived at the pharmacy, nothing.
When I called Planned Patenthood, I was told that the staff had not gotten around to calling in my medication. I was late back from my lunch, and am very displeased with the lack of follow through.
If you need timely medications, steer clear.

i had the pleasure of visiting Portland’s Planned Parenthood today for the first time, due to an urgent medical concern regarding my «ladies» (… please don’t worry, i’m fine).
as you can imagine, a visit of this nature had me in quite a tense mood.
but when i called to ask if they could see me, the person on the phone was helpful and kind and completely reassuring. they were able to schedule an appointment for me within 48 hours. and they were *fine* with the fact that i don’t have health insurance right now (… health insurance = a totally different story).
my visit was many things — on time, courteous, comforting, professional, non-​judgemental. i did not feel rushed…
in fact, i felt like a person ~ yay for medical care that’s humanizing!
the price was even scaled to my income ~~ thank you!!!
bonus: the intake forms ask about consent and coersion ~~ thank you, again.
the staff here took what started out as a very scary experience and just helped and comforted and talked me through it. and i’m very grateful. and you will likely be, too, should you choose to visit this location of Planned Parenthood.
