This place is horrible! I called the health department on this place due to moldy biscuits. I had spoken with the manager Seng and she was beyond rude! I will be calling corporate in the morning! And i saw one of the employees smoking some kind of drugs in the parking lot! This place should be shut down.

This was a bizarre experience. While ordering through the drive through. I could hear A LOT of commotion. Then while waiting at the window. The young lady working profusely apologized on behalf of her manager for yelling and basically going crazy in the background. I actually asked her if she was okay. She answered yes, this is normal. Happens all the time. She’s crazy. So… long story short. Food was below average. Forgot my bisquiet. Soda was warm. It was a mess. I would give it 1 star. But, the girl working really handled such a vile situation as well as she could.

On the positive side the food was good, the dining area was clean and the help was prompt.
However, the kitchen behind the counter had flour all over the floor leaving one with the impression of an unsanitary environment. The mens bathroom looked disgusting with filthy water on the floor and NO hand cleaner available. So your food is prepared by people with unclean hands.
Actually, no stars from me.

I’m writing this while sitting in the drive thru for 20 MINUTES. 20 minutes. My food still isn’t ready.

Stopped here on our way home for lunch the other day. I’d go hungry rather than stop here ever again. Service was incredibly slow and the place was dirty. None of the employees wore gloves. Spilled food all over the floor in the kitchen area and on the counter. That should have been our warning to leave. The food was awful. One of the chicken tenders was nothing more than a clump of greasy breading, no chicken at all. The pieces that contained chicken weren’t much better. The fries were soggy and limp. The mac ‘n cheese was slimy and inedible. Fed the leftovers to our dog and she had the runs an hour later. Stay clear of this place!

Hit or Miss. Sometimes Really Great, Sometimes Okay, Sometimes Not So Good. If they were more consistent the food would probably taste better over several times.

Ugh. I live in this neighborhood and have eaten here every once in awhile. A few weeks ago I ordered a sandwich from the drive through. I got home and there was an open, empty packet of mayo in the wrapper. What? I planned on not going back but totally forgot and went through the drive through for lunch today. I ordered a 3 piece strip meal. When I got home, two of the three pieces of chicken had just a little bit of breading on them and the «chicken» was red. Actually red. I threw everything away.
Will someone please open good, quick food in this hood? Sigh.

Horrible service, horrible food, do not go to this location. They never clean the parking lot, the inside is dirty and they wait till there’s 10 cars in line and you can’t back up when they are out of chicken and waiting for more to cook up. They are absolute idiots, and whoever is running this place needs to be fired. Have tried to go here 3 times, every time is a disappointment. Really, do not go to this location

The WORST popeyes chix I have EVER had, Just bad bad bad. First off, drive through guy did not care about our order. we could barely hear him on the drive thru and he acted like it was our issue, The chicken was mediocre. Tenders were good. Biscuits old and stale, not edible. Mac n’cheese was the WORST! Just absolute gross, the noodles would not stay on a fork they fell apart and there was nothing but salt flavor. ick ick ick.

I saw a coupon online and it STATED present the coupon when ordering, then why the heck that the cashier told me to print it out. Don’t you notice that everywhere in Portland tries to stay green by limiting the use of paper and you re telling to print out what you can obviously see on my phone and throw it to the trash can right after that??? What are you trying to do really??? Suckerrrrrr

If you go here I assume you already know what you are getting yourself into. Its not the healthiest restaurant you could choose. That being said I received excellent service today when am employee brought me out an extra side of fresh hot fries because I assume the ones I received with the chicken were older. Little gestures like that go a long way for me.

Today I had a terrible time their today, I am thinking it depends on who is working the drive thru. I wanted the three piece combo, with mac and cheese and a medium sprite. The person thought I wanted a extra large mac and cheese and a large sprite, I got to the window and explained to the lady I didnt want the large mac and cheese just a large sprite so they over charged me and gave me a apple pie so really it depends on who is working

The place was dirty when we came in. By the way its just 2:00 pm in the afternoon, and the staff seems like they just want to get off their shift. The girl works there was being mean to my husband. There is no changing table in the restroom for my baby, the floor was all cover with water and yes I almost fell down. No way I will be back, I never feel like I would complaint a restaurant by calling the main company but this specific location disappointed me to death.

Save yourself and stay in the drive thru. This place is filthy, the staff stands around doing nothing and the bathrooms are disgusting. This is not a good place to come.

This place is disgustingly dirty. We just stopped by and there was puke on the sidewalk just outside the front door, bathrooms were filthy and the kitchen was a mess! We walked right back out the door and will never go back again. We actually love their chicken but this place should be shut down by the health department

4 stars for the food. These are the best chicken tenders in town, and the sides have great taste. For some reason they didn’t have enough help today in the kitchen, and the manger was taking orders working the drive in and cooking. They aren’t paying this woman enough, she’s doing a great job. ($ 15.00 per hour min). Back to the chicken and sides, the chicken was hot and succulent. The side of red beans and rice have a great smokey flavor, mashed potatoes were spicy and great flavor. If the service would have been better 5 stars, not the fault of the workers, pay more and people will stay on the job and perform better, don’t believe me ask COSTCO.

Went around 9 on a Saturday and got the three strip meal, with fries as my side.
The cahier and lady putting meals together both seemed annoyed at my presence… not really a big deal for me, I really just wanted my chicken… when I got home, I have three tiny chicken nugget sized strips, a flat burnt biscuit, and no fries… so I just drove six miles and paid seven bucks for this…
…i was the only customer! Guess they should have been less concerned with how much I was inconveniencing them by coming in, and more concerned with getting the order right…
Try the mlk location, better service, nicer staff.

Can’t say anything else about Popeye’s chicken that Bud F. didn’t already mention in his epic review.
What I can say is this — this Popeye’s has spicy chicken strips! Doesn’t sound like a big deal until you go to the Popeye’s on MLK (near the Nike outlet) and realize they don’t have spicy strips. Your PoBoy will taste that much better for it!

It’s late but I’m craving for their chicken right now.
I missed Arby’s (not), and they were so right down my alley!
They’re crispy and delicious, their fried chickens. Service is quick. But last night we stopped by there, and we have to wait 12 minutes, they didn’t have the dark meat. Their jambalaya was awful, it was soggy. I had their corn on the cob, for the 1^st time, and it also smelled like they’ve been re-​heated again & again. They do have a good variety of food, not just chicken. They have great customer service too!

DAMMIT why can’t I make my chicken taste like this… even under the batter, it is delicious! OMG! Popeye’s is a guilty pleasure, and I love that they’re going cheap again, because twice, my husband and I were craving fried chicken, pulled into the driveway, said «9 BUCKS FOR FRIED CHICKEN!!! HELL NO» And drove away.
I’m all about the chicken strips, with layer of red spicy heaven under a tasty seasoned batter. And omg their red beans and rice are yummy! And their buttery balls of fatty biscuits! One thing that bugs me though, is half the time, this location especially, they don’t give me silverware… Do they want me to DRINK my red beans and rice?
Here’s why I don’t feel bad about liking this chain.
1. Fried Chicken, sometimes, you just have to have it.
2. I don’t want to buy a deep frier because I don’t want to be tempted to eat fried stuff that often.
3. It’s a fast type of food, and KFC Freaking sucks.
