What a delight! My husband and I were gifted a cruise with Captain Seth on his beautiful 1939 vintage wooden boat, «Rosie». Since we moved here 8 years ago we had been meaning to take a local river cruise. This is DEFINITELY the way to do it! We arranged for a bridge tour, but since it was sunset, we got that, too! Captain Seth was very knowledgeable and a wonderful host. My husband and I shared a bottle of wine as we toured. You would have never known it was rush hour in the city! So beautiful and calming. We will be back! This would be the perfect tour for out of town guests.

My wife and I recently went on the sunset cruise with captain Seth. Nice clean boat. Seth knew quite a bit about the history of portland bridges and waterfront. Since we live in portland Seth asked if we’d like the history tour or would rather just cruise up the river. We opted for the history tour and really enjoyed learning about our city. Would recommend for out of towners or locals. Great way to see and learn about the city. We also enjoyed drinking a bottle of wine and watching the sunset over portland!

A shout out for Captain Seth! My husband purchased a sunset cruise for my birthday in July, and it what a treat! Captain Seth was there when we arrived, introduced himself, and put us at ease right away. He was professional (but not stuffy), knowledgeable, and had a good balance of how much to talk, and how much to allow us to enjoy in silence.
This should be a must do for all local folks, for we learned much about our beloved city. We will definitely bring friends out with Captain Seth in the future.

Great private tour with Captain Seth! Communication before, during, and after were great! The tour, while very informative, was very relaxing and did not get too «historical» like others we have been on. A great balance of narrated tour, sightseeing, and just a plain old boat ride on a beautiful summer afternoon. Seth’s knowledge of the river and surrounding areas was very thorough and he gave us great tips on other places to see and restaurants to try. If you have the chance to take this tour-​it is a must do!

Portland Boat Tours is a must do!!! I have been to Portland many times but just recently took the sunset cruise. Capt. Seth is awesome. His boat (named after his Grandmother) is the perfect way to see the many bridges of Portland and learn their history. The sunset cruise was especially nice and I will be adding some of the fantastic photos my husband took! Do yourself a favor and book a cruise today!

Portland Boat Tours with Captain Seth is a must-​do when you’re in Portland! What a gorgeous way to see the city and the bridges. We arrived 15 minutes early, Captain Seth was there, greeting us. We learned a lot, had a great time, took lots of great photos and really enjoyed our time on the water. We did the bridge tour, and if we returned to Portland today, we would immediately book the sunset tour. Thanks, Captain Seth!

This is a must do boat tour for people that live here and for those who do not. The boat is beautiful, clean and well maintained. Captain Seth gave us very interesting information everywhere we went. He also is so accommodating in making the trip what you want it to be! We really loved the fact that when you book a trip it is just you and who you bring. We will be taking another tour next year for sure!!!

My boyfriend and I did the sunset boat tour and were so surprised when Captain Seth pulled up and told us that we were the only passengers on the boat! His boat is incredibly clean and he was the best tour guide we could ask for. He answered all of our questions and told us that he’d be happy to personalize the tour to our liking. He is so knowledgeable and the intimate size of the boat makes the experience so special. We brought our own food and wine and Captain Seth showed us an amazing time! This was by far the highlight of our incredible trip to Portland. The evening was so memorable, the cost was affordable, and we couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. Thanks Captain Seth!

Our whole family had a great time out on the water with Captain Seth. His boat was clean and comfortable and he was right there waiting for us and ready to go as soon as we showed up. What a unique and awesome way to see Portland. I’d seen the bridges hundreds of times, of course, but never from directly underneath eight of them. We even had some scheduling issues, thanks to Portland’s unique ability to get started on summer about a month behind the rest of the country, but Captain Seth had no issues accommodating us. Give the tour a try! You won’t regret it.

My husband took me on a sunset trip with Portland Boat Tours as a surprise for our anniversary. It was a really relaxing and fun experience. Captain Seth picked us up in Willamette Park, took us around Ross Island, then down river past downtown. We saw a blue heron from about twenty feet away, admired houseboats, marveled at the undersides of the bridges and the construction of the new bridge, and listened to music coming from the Bite above us at Waterfront Park. If you’ve never been on the river, it’s a must-​do. You see Portland from a completely different perspective.
