Portland Community College – CLIMB Center for Advancement

Navigating the uncharted waters of entrepreneurship can be very, very scary, but the SBDC is like a warm, tropical island in the middle of the ocean, put there to save you.
Since I began working with the advisors at the SBDC a year ago, I’ve witnessed my business grow exponentially. I cannot recommend their classes and advisors highly enough. I’ve attended multiple classes and skill building workshops, and they’ve all been of great value (lots of knowledge and insight for such a small price tag)!
I give this place my highest rating:

CLIMB (Continuous Learning for Individuals, Management, & Business) hosts a lot of the continuing education courses that PCC offers. I took the CNA course that they have here and it was superb, great instructors and great facilities and equipment. The building itself seems brand new, so everything is clean, modern, and up-​to-​date.
The location isn’t the greatest, but it is easily accessible by Streetcar or bus. They also have their own private lot, and parking is $ 5 per day, or you can buy a parking pass through PCC if you’re taking a term course to save some $$$.
There aren’t many places in the area to grab a bite during your lunch break, so I would suggest bringing food. There is Cooper’s Coffee across the street, and OMSI down the road will let you into their cafeteria area if you have some form of proof that you’re taking a class at CLIMB.
