Portland, OR
Portland deserves a tribute the likes of which is the Portland Cuckoo Clock. It is decorated with all kinds of symbols that represent the city, some being artificial while others represent something natural. A sign in front goes above and beyond the par in explaining the sculpture. There are lots of seats and places to eat nearby of which it can be viewed from.
This statue has been an intriguing news story in the last while. It was an honor to finally arrive at the opportunity of which to view it in person. Although some of it takes up an abstract role with a somewhat random mix of figures on the same wood, this was wonderful. The trees and the food well represented the mark of the city. Some of it is hard to follow, but nevertheless, it is grand. I would love to take another peek at that clock.
