Pureheart Yoga

Went here for yoga. I really wanted to love this place. But the studio was freezing throughout the session and it smelled like a dirty gym. I don’t think Ill be returning, which makes me sad.

This studio is warm and very adorable. The teachers are patient and kind. They have a great flow here with a nice variety of classes even for a newbie. Highly recommended!

My girlfriend and her mother are regulars at various yoga studios in Seattle and asked around for a good studio in Portland they could go to while there for the weekend.
This studio came recommended so we stopped by this morning and did the 9:30 session with a young instructor names Isabella Taylor.
I go occasionally — but not regularly with my girlfriend and while I enjoy it I often times feel alienated as a man. Either I am the only male or the instructor does a woman-​centric intro, often times getting the vagina involved. I am totally fine with this, but find myself feeling a bit intrusive.
Isabella did none of that. There was a perfect amount of people — not too crowded… And when the music started, so did the yoga. The music made it easy to focus on my breathing (great music selection! Not just a bunch of tantric, wind-​chimes and cymbals).
I really liked that she offered several variations on each pose and transition.
If I lived in Portland THIS would be the studio I attend… And I will look for something similar up north.

I loved Lucy Brush’s yoga class! Perfect combination of working and relaxing, good poses, very friendly, and great music!

I absolutely love this studio! All of the teachers have been very experienced and wonderful. It is a serene environment. I am really enjoying the variety of classes including tribal belly dancing!!!

This is an adorable & cozy studio full of heart that I can just feel when I step into the door. Been going for about a year and am yet to be disappointed. Every teacher I’ve practiced with has proven to be gifted, knowledgeable and have a sweet sense of humor. One of their new teachers is a cut-​up and boy is she a bendy one! I love that the degrees of intensity rage from super powerful stuff (Dynamic Vinyasa) to healing & deeply relaxing (Yoga Nidra). Also, one of the super coolest things is that some of the classes offered are FREE!

This is a sweet, accessible, warm and loving studio. I have attended two different six week sessions of the class The Fertile Body here, and have appreciated the nurturing yoga class as well as the supportive community. It is a lovely little studio.

I am totally in love with this place already. I’ve been trying different yoga places around town for a couple of weeks, trying to find somewhere to restart my practice. The second I walked in this morning, I knew this would be it.
The space is very inviting, very clean & very open. The classes were perfecty paced (I was so enamored with the place, I stayed for the next class). The instructor (who is also the owner) I had today was amazing. She was super helpful, nudging me into poses if they were incorrect and incredibly nice. She also played the best music I’ve ever heard played in a yoga studio. Like, ever.
I am psyched to call this my new yoga home!

Pureheart Yoga is an amazing studio. I haven’t been getting there enough lately, and I’ve been feeling it! Trish, the owner, is an amazing teacher. She takes the time to get to know her students and makes an effort to meet them wherever they are; she finds out what students need from their practice, and helps them to get there at a pace that’s comfortable. I have some back issues and get some pretty severe headaches and I’ve seen a significant change since coming here. I’ve taken classes from many of the other teachers and they’re all really wonderful; each teacher and class has a unique style, so you’re bound to find someone who works best for you. The classes are on the smaller side, generally, so if you need a little extra attention, you’ll get it here. I recommend it to anyone looking for a way to better support their practice or address any longstanding back or neck injuries. Perhaps I should take some of my own advice and get in there soon…

Pureheart is an amazing yoga studio. I was having some major back problems and I was very hesitant to try yoga. I explained to Trish, the owner, what my problems were and even showed her my MRI results. She took the time to research my problem and learn what poses were beneficial and helped me understand my limitations with yoga. I’ve been attending the healthy back class every Saturday and it has done wonders to my low back pain. I would highly recommend Trish’s class to anyone experiencing low back discomfort. She really takes the time to customize the class to what each person needs!

Pureheart is a rare gem here in Portland. In the land of yoga studios, it is easy to be overwhelmed by the options! I whole heartedly recommend going to check this one out. The studio space is warm and has radiant energy. The owners, Alex and Trish, have so much love and talent to share with the friends that come into Pureheart. The teachers are knowledgeable and friendly. They have $ 5 classes, super affordable!

I LOVE this place! It’s a beautiful space, the teachers are wonderful, and it won’t break the bank. They offer a couple of «by donation» classes every week, and a couple $ 5 classes. The other classes are just $ 12. A great, down-​to-​earth, friendly yoga spot, without any hoity toity yoga pretentiousness. It’s run by a very sweet couple. Because it’s new and hidden away in a neighborhood, not very many people know about it yet and classes are small.
