Radio Shack has always been my go to when I am stuck with an electronic device. To make a long story short I have a super nice new TV and also just scored a super awesome Bose Surround System and the 2 would not work together After phone calls to Bose and Samsung I went to Radio Shack to get a converter I was told I needed. Store 1 was out and located at store 2. Home and it does not work. So I head to Lombard and meet Leo. Leo explained to me that it may not work if my TV does not have Audio out ports. I’m still baffled that this can even be a possibility. He sends me home to get a photo of the backside of the TV so he can check it out for us since lugging a 60″ TV is not exactly practical. Back for trip #4 of the day and Leo is on lunch break but he overhears that we are back and comes to help. Along with his manager he confirms that indeed our monster of a TV is not compatible with the sound system. WE bought the TV just a tad over 90 days ago and are afraid we are stuck with it. Leo and his manager encourage us to go talk to the store where wee purchased it from. Sure enough they give us a full refund and we apply that towards a TV that is compatible. It was a great learning lesson, a $ 6 fix for the upgrade and Radio Shack saved the day!

FROMFIRSTTOLAST: I feel like Radio Shack stole from me today. I am an easy customer to keep happy. I spend a lot of my free $ on my hobbies, and typically purchase from my local Shack. I hope Andrew, the manager on duty, can adjust his attitude. Also, Will is a lazy employee, didn’t take his hands from his pockets behind the counter, even when I tried to hand him the product I wanted to see if he could order. DETAILS: I called the store last week to verify they had a wireless mic on hand. In a time pinch, I sent my girlfriend to buy it – along with one of the promotional offers(spend $ 50, save $ 10). The mic was not handheld, putting me in a bind for my gig the next day. Today I returned the mic, but the store was unable to restore the $ 10 savings… even if I made another purchase at the same time. This is real money to me, and I depend on these to fund my crafts and hobbies. HISTORY: Back on 10/28/2013 this was a 4-star review: I had purchased an Arduino Craft Kit at another Radioshack. It was missing a BUNCH of pieces and the store closest to my house took care of it, sending me home with a complete kit. THANKYOU!

It’s a Radio Shack. You know what they sell. But the location on Lombard in North Portland is the greatest because of the guys who work there. You walk in. There’s nobody else in there. A voice from the back shouts hello. Next you’re greeted by a friendly employee who actually knows what he’s talking about. Seriously. Coaxial cable for your TV? They’ve got it and the guy knows which one you need.(On more than one occasion, I got: «Yeah, you really don’t need to buy the expensive one. It’s a rip off.») They’re also not going to waste your time. If they can’t help you, they’re not afraid to send you to Best Buy, Fry’s, or wherever(even gave me directions!) These are the kinds of people I want to do business with. Honest, knowledgeable, friendly. You should do business with them too.
