Sent in an email request to see a house in SW Portland. Got a call from Will Wong from Keller Williams. Here’s how our conversation went: Will: «Do you have a loan or are you paying in cash?» Me: «We just want to tour the house, we are qualified buyers» Will: «If you haven’t gotten a pre approval letter, no sellers in this market will let you tour their homes if you are not serious about buying.» Me: «All buyers, really? I’ve toured a couple of houses in the past few weeks without a letter saying I’m approved…» Will: «You could be potentially wasting their time, my time or wasting your time if you’re not serious about buying.» Me: «Well I don’t want to waste your time…» And he hung up. Here’s a tip for Portland Real Estate Group – respect your customers, or they’ll leave and tell their friends to stay far away from realtors like you. Let that pretentious employee of yours know that I will be doing exactly that.
