Came in randomly due to the bright red kangaroo on the outside.
Great little taproom – perfect for a quiet pint. There’s a good selection of beers on tap (although there’s only 7).
If you want something different from dive bars and pubs, walk on in and give it a go.

James and his bar are a perfect addition to St. Johns. His taplist is always interesting, the bottle selection is very nice and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is extremely laid back. With addition of delivery food from Dub’s, what more could you ask for? Keep up the good work mate.

Just a great time at the Rockin Roo bar with James the owner/​bartender. He took care of every need and he had a great selection of beer/​wine even my girl enjoyed. I can’t wait to go back and check out the next blazer game and enjoy great beers with this mate as he would say. I encourage all to go and enjoy a brew or two!

I never would have known this place existed, if we had not walked right by it and my guy pointed it out.
Great spot for a quick drink before a movie or to watch the game.
You can pick a bottle of wine, or a bottle from the fridge to enjoy, although there are some great variety of beer on tap.
Mostly you will find bar seating, so not great for a large group.
Very friendly bartender.

We recently moved to the St. John’s area and discovered this awesome place. The owner has an incredible draft beer selection with something for everyone (even wine). The place is brand new on the inside and very comfortable. The crowd is fantastic, lots of fun, good people without all the rowdy customers that frequent many of the surrounding bars. This place is a must in St. John’s if you’re looking for great beer, good people, and a more relaxing atmosphere.

Rotating selection of great IPAs selected by the friendly Austrailian owner who has great beer and music knowledge. On a recent visit enjoyed a Crux Mosaic while discussing the history of David Bowie and his influence on other artists. Also many coolers of beer to go — stouts, cider, pale ales, you name it.
Green Flash West Coast IPA is always on tap here, and you can bring in food from other St John’s businesses.

If you like good music and good beer The Rock N Roo is the place to be! They have 140 beers to choose from and 7brews on tap changing weekly. The owner/​bartender Daddy James is amazing. I had such a blast last night!!!

James is the owner and he is awesome! We stopped in here to check it out and we were very impressed by everything. The beer selection on draft is craft and tasty. The wine selection is great too. Love the atmosphere and we are looking forward to making this spot one our spots.

A great bottle shop and tap room in the St. John’s Neighborhood.
This is a small new business in a up and coming neighborhood.
Rock N Roo offers a rotating tap selection — three times I’ve been in there they’ve always had Great Flash West Coast IPA on draft. A fantastic IPA focused line up. Their bottle selection is diverse and they will grow it I am sure. I like the dark wood on the tables and the bar.
Cool photos of your favorite classic rock bands decorate the room. The owner’s are friendly, too. James is an authentic Aussie.
No food here-​but they encourage you to bring in outside food. No outside seating.
Crisp TV monitors and good tunes playing. A one of a kind in the hood.

This is an awesome spot. Arguably the best place to open in St. Johns in the recent past.
Great tap selection — several good IPAs on tap. The owners are really friendly and have a big TV showing sports. Also a bottle shop with a decent selection of beers. Well worth checking out. We’ll be back.

Was walking down the street for a burger and stumbled upon this place. It had only been open 2 weeks. In a neighborhood where the only options for a pint are dive bars and run down hipstervilles, this is a breath of fresh air. 7 beers on tap and a great bottle selection. He had 5 solid IPAs and 2 Stouts that night. Looks like a large selection of wine as well, but I didn’t look very close. His open hour leave a little to be desired, only open till 9pm on Sat and 6pm on Sunday. Also eat before you go because there is no food. I will definitely be back, great little spot.
