Ron’s Frontend & Brake Service

Rob took my Scion xB for a test drive, and then on the rack for a «wheels off» further brake and front end inspection. No BS here with these guys! You get a truthful answer and there is no running up the bill for stuff you don’t need. Rather refreshing with so many shops that try to send their kids to Harvard on your money. They have all my business going forward!

Excellent service and fair prices! Several mechanics worked on my car this afternoon, and all were friendly and thorough. Example: they checked my brand new brake rotors and turned them for free – without my even asking – because they were slightly out of spec.
No pinups or other macho BS either, just careful attention to cars and trucks. A+!

Small yet high on service. Very knowledgeable on their specialties. Did a quick analysis on my Ford truck front-​end. Very thorough and explained the findings in a clear manner, answering all my questions.

Honest mechanics. What more can you ask for? I brought my car in thinking it needed over $ 100 of repair, and it turned out to be a very minor problem, for which they charged me $ 25. Very grateful for the honesty and will definitely be bringing my car back. Thank you so much!!!

Great honest & local shop. Very rare these days. After calling all of the usual suspects I just could not believe what they wanted to charge. I knew there had to be a good, reliable, local, & honest shop. Well I found it at Ron’s. Ron actually works out in the shop along with the other mechanics. His pricing was more than half of what that $chwabb place wanted. His cost & time estimate were both on point. This review is mainly to prove that honest shop’s still exist. Also, the ride I took in was a 2010 Acura, so his knowledge of brakes has no limits. Please support this place as Ron & his service are definitely worth supporting. And thank you Ron for saving me almost $ 200! I will certainly be back for any future brake or front end needs.

These guys were real nice, easy to work with, honest and efficient.
I had received an expensive estimate from another nearby auto shop, who basically told me my brakes were shot and I needed to replace everything. Wanting a second opinion, I called Ron’s and ran the same list of repairs by them and they gave me an estimate for about half of what the other place was going to charge.
I brought the car in to have them check it out and they called me shortly thereafter to let me know that there were actually only minor issues. Very happy with the service here, would definitely recommend.

These guys are awesome! I’ve been going there for years and they are always very helpful, affordable and they can get you in and out quickly, I can’t say enough good stuff about them!
One think I will mention is that I went in with a minor issue that only took a minute to diagnose and fix (quick tweek or adjustment) and they sent me on my way, NO CHARGE, said they were happy to help! This kind of great service is too hard these days…

I saw an ad for Ron’s in a local publication called ZippityNews, and I thought I’d take a chance on them, because I like to support local «mom & pop» businesses. I took our Prius in for an alignment and was BLOWN AWAY by their great service. Great prices, too! The shop is clean and seems well organized. The mechanics have nice clean uniforms, and as soon as I walked in, I got a good feeling about them. Robert took care of my car, and it was on the rack almost immediately. Ron, the owner, is a really cool guy and will spend the time to talk with you about any concerns you have with your car. You can tell he loves his work. It’s a great neighborhood place. I’d never go to those generic «chain» brake shops, and I’m glad to have found Ron’s. Will tell my friends for sure. Thanks, guys — you’re awesome!

I had a positive experience at Ron’s, although I hate to put it like that, since most of the other online reviews begin (rather suspiciously) the same way. But Ron’s is real close to my house, so when I heard noise from my brakes I took my car there. Robert (if I remember his name correctly) was pleasant and welcoming. I left the car with him, and he called me right after lunch to tell me what he’d found, and what the repair would cost. When he called me to come back for the car a couple hours later, I was pleased to find that he’d not only NOT added anything to the estimate or tried to upsell me in any way, he’d also cleaned and adjusted the rear brakes at no charge. I hope I don’t have to go back to Ron’s any time soon, but if I need help with my car brakes, they’ll be my first choice.

I had a positive experience at Ron’s. The mechanics are honest and efficient; the two best qualities in an automotive shop. They replaced the air bags in the suspension of my Crown Victoria for a fraction of what other shops wanted. Although, a week later they blew out due to being improperly installed (which granted, was a problem), they corrected the issue, while staying after hours and not charging any extra. I came to realize through observing their work, that the procedure is exceptionally difficult and set-​up for people with tiny hands. I appreciated their candor in approaching the problem and will happily take my vehicles there for future suspension and brake work.

Great company to work with. These guys were the most economical choice for our brake job and bent over backwards to get our job done on a tight timeline. They even stayed after hours to make it happen for us. What’s more they did a check on our rear brakes as a courtesy since a competing shop told us they were due for replacement. Rons found they were actually at 80% and were good to go for quite awhile saving us some $$$. Thanks guys!
